    THANK YOU COLLIN!

  2. Sandi

Why isn’t it showing me the deal? I’ve signed up and clicked on everything! Got a Kindle for Christmas and would LOVE to save some money! Thanks!!

I got this deal last night and it said my total would be $5. My husband and I are doing dave ramsey so we have a zeroed out budget. I transferred exactly 5 over from savings to my checking to cover the cost until I could put my $5 in my spending cash money into the bank. So I looked at my bank this AM and they charged me a one time fee of $10 for the deal, which would have still been amazing had I known. Because now I’m charged with a 10 dollar over draft fee…so basically it was 20 anyways 🙁

    • Kristin

They’ve overcharged me as well. Did you happen to print or take a screenshot of your receipt? If so I would fight it with your bank and they should fix it for you. I unfortunately did not think to do that (even though I usually do) so I’m just gonna let it go.

      • melissa s.

I did not…I booked marked the page but I think it is expired by now. They should send people confirmation numbers via email. I hate how businesses do this! My total clearly said $5 but they charged me 10 :..sigh:. My lesson from this is to get pre paid visa card for online purchases.

        • Britt

Melissa, I feel your pain. We are trying to save money as well, so our budget is really tight… even though I know it’s an awesome deal, it’s still not fair to be told it was $5, and then be charged $10. If i was you, I would call your bank, and explain what happened. Tell them you were charged incorrectly. Sometimes they will remove the charges for that reason. Good luck! I’d also email the website like I did. Maybe we will get our money back.

          • Cheryl

Whats the email address for them? Thanks.

          • Monique

That happened to me too and although it’s still a good deal for $10 I feel cheated by them telling me it was $5 and charging me $10 that seems unethical to me. 🙁 not fair at all.

    • Laura Velez

I’m so sorry to hear that, but If its your first overdraft, you can call your bank and they will take it off. If it’s not just call the bank anyways and explain to them what happened maybe you will get lucky and they will take it off =) best wishes

      • Melissa S.

So I checked our bank again, and they did not charge us an over draft fee. Thank goodness, and hopefully they don’t. I went a head and transferred $10 more into checking. Ugh. Then I booked marked the page last night for the confirmation number. I just went to it to see if it was expired and if it wasn’t I was going to print it out and take it to my bank. Well now it’s saying $10! It did NOT say that last night! Is that even legal!?

    • Trey

Did the $10 charge go through? Because from my understanding of their FAQ they charge you the original price as an authorization to make sure you have the funds to purchase the item. That should only be an authorization and will be removed when they charge the actual amount you owe, which would be $5.

      • Melissa S.

Yes the $10 went through. They had to take $4 and some change out of my savings. I looked at my account this morning and my checking balance was $0.00 and my savings was lower then it was last night when I transferred the $5 over. I’m just happy they didn’t charge me an over draft fee. It was still a good deal, but I don’t think I’ll be doing this any more unless I have a pre paid visa.

        • Trey

Yea, sorry to hear that. I’ve hear some bad reviews about the website in general so I too won’t be doing too many deals with them either.

          • Melissa S.

Oh really? I’ve never even heard of them before! What kind of negative reviews have you heard?

  4. liz

SO JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW I DID THIS DEAL LAST NIGHT…CHECKED MY ACCOUNT TODAY AND THEY CHARGED $10 YOU DO NOT GET THE $5 ON THIS DEAL EVEN THOUGH IT SAID YOU DID…CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SHE SAID COULD NOT BE USED BUT THE $5 CREDIT COULD BE USED ON FUTURE DEALS!!! nOT REALLY SURE HOW TO FEEL ABOUT THIS ONE SHOULD I KEEP IT OR NOT YOU CAN CANCEL ON YOUR ACCOUNT PAGE!?!?!?

    • Darcie

its still an amazon card for 50 % off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is AWESOME. i wouldn’t cancel if i were you.

  5. Jami

If you are having issues with Swagbucks, I finally figured it out. There is an ad for living social at the top of the daily deals page. So go to earn, then to daily deals, then look at the top of the page for the living social ad (if you see a groupon one instead just refresh until you do see it). Since I was so nice to help you, please help me by using my link! 🙂 Thanks!

If anyone would want to use my referral code I would greatly appreciate it! I am planning on buying diapers with this and it would be awesome if I ended up getting them for free!Thank you so much for helping me out!! https://livingsocial.com/redeem_invite/21581068?ref=lnk

  7. nancy

I think it’s totally silly that they renigged on letting you use your $5 deal bucks. To me that’s false advertising! They should watch out….this is how Class action lawsuits start. They should have known putting up such a red hot deal would attract over 100,000 purchases OVERNIGHT. Come on now! Seriously in this day in age of the internet. Plus I see that they’ve released the same deal to several other cities over night also…but those are clearly marked now that you cannot use your deal bucks. SILLY!

ps. I’m still happy Collin posted this…a free $10 is a free $10 even if it should have been $5 lol!

    • Cheryl

Oh stop it, that is your link

      • mouni

        LOL, that’s not nice, Jane!

        • Cheryl

It’s a good tactic lol. I wish I got a quarter for every time someone said they need to buy diapers with this lol.

  8. ICEMOMMY

I did the deal last night too and looked at my bank statement and was charged the $10. I called customer service and they said that the $5 credit doesn’t apply only on future deals. Clearly last night it showed $5 for that gift card and that payment screen said $5 was charged. I cancelled my order don’t trust them.

  9. Lacey

I signed up last last night and got it for $5 and for a family member. However, when I go back in to my account, it says I will be charged $10. There is a $5 credit in my deal bucks. Has anyone had a charge come through on their credit card yet? I read about someone’s bank account having the $10 taken out…just curious about other’s. Please keep us posted.

  10. cindy

ok I just spoke to someone at living social and they said the referrals take a little time to show up and that you should receive an email confirmation in a few hours. The woman I spoke to was very nice, she said if I had any problems to just call back.
Ok so now I just need one more referral for my free diapers.
If anyone still needs a link, please use mine, thanks

If you happen to chose my referral code, I would really love it! I was planning to buy diapers from Amazon (like many others!) and I would love the extra help. I randomly chose a code from someone else, so I hope they get enough referrals and enjoy the free order.

  13. Julie K

I got mine last night and it went through as the $5 charge. Today I am signing up the hubby and it’s saying you can’t use the deal bucks.

    • Cheryl

Your bank statement shows only $5?

      • Julie K

Last night my total at checkout was $5.Today my hubby’s total at checkout was $10.

        • Cheryl

Yea so was a lot of other people’s. $10 is showing up on our bank accounts (not sure if it will be adjusted later after deal is over) but that is everyone’s concern that it may not have been for $5. The deal bucks are popping back up on everyone’s account.

          • Julie K

Hmmmmm, very interesting. Hopefully I can get my 3 referrals in order to get mine free, then I’d be ok with the $10 charge, but you can bet I won’t be making any more LS purchases!

  14. Beth

For everyone that was already charged for the full $10, I would wait until they actually charge the account to worry. I remember with the Little Fockers deal a lot of people were upset because their bank accounts were charged when it should have been free. They first put a hold on your account for the full purchase amount. Then, once the deal is over, they charge what you actually agreed to pay ($0 for Little Fockers, or $5 for this). It doesn’t help people that didn’t have $10 in the account and got an overdraft fee, but it should work out for everyone else.

  15. Pat

I’m glad the owner of this blog is going to make a killing. Every time a purchase is made (by clicking any links on this blog) the owner makes money!

    • Melody

I’m glad you cracked the code, Pat. Of course Collin makes money, she works hard!

      • Liz

If it weren’t for Collin, I wouldn’t have heard about this awesome deal. Thanks Collin for all you do!!

    • Lisa

We know… and most of us are ok with that. 🙂 Collin has said if you’re not comfortable using her referral link, you can go to the site directly by just typing the address into the address bar. But she also encourages her readers to leave their personal referral links in the comments section so we can help each other out. Sounds like a win-win.

  16. misse33

    Thanks for the tip, Collin!

Does anyone have an amazon code from Parenting Magazine that they don’t need and could email to me? I’m having a baby next week and need diapers! Nothing like waiting until last minute, huh? I ordered parenting magazine but it won’t be in for a while! Thanks a bunch for your help! My email is misse33@yahoo.com.

    THANKS!

    • Andrea

Try checking out the mags in your OB’s office! They usually have tons of these magazines and no need for the little coupons in them! 🙂

    • Lola

      • misse33

thanks, guys! I have a doc appt tomorrow so I’ll check there. If I have time today I’ll swing by TRU too. Thanks! 🙂

    • kayla

      what codes? what issue? TY

      • misse33

I don’t know what issue but most of the parenting magazines have a 20% off amazon diapers code so I’m looking for one to use.

    • Vanessa

I purchased mine through your link.

      • Anonymous
