   I am so confused…can someone help me? I had someone purchase a gift card under my referral link I posted to facebook, from the link they gave me after I bought mine….but I didn’t get an e-mail saying I had a referral…Does anyone know does it take a day to process the referrals? Please Help!!!

  If you go to your acct, and right buy your deal is says “buy more” click on that and it will take you to the deal you bought and it will show you if one of the little people is filled in to let you know if someone has bought thru yours. They said it might take some time, but I dont think anyone is getting emails as of yet. THats the only way to tell…

    When I signed up yesterday it didn’t give me a $5 credit. I contacted customer service today and they added it to my account :). The customer service rep I spoke with was really nice and suggested that for those who had a similar problem to contact CS and they would be happy to credit your account.

    I have a question. Is the “referral link to create/sign up for an account” different from the “referral link to buy the deal”? I used my friend’s link to make the purchase (but she didn’t give me a separate referral link to sign up for an account) and I didn’t get the $5 starter credit. She didn’t get the $5 from me for making my first purchase either. Did we both just miss out?

  Nope, she earned 1 credit towards her free deal…but unfortunately you will not get the $5 credit…Just learned that hard way calling the customer service.

  If you have 3 friends sign up under your free deal link..you will get the deal free…but no $5 credit though:(

    I contacted Living Social to see why some folks were able to snag the $20 Amazon Gift Card for only $5 by using their deal bucks and the rep, who was very nice by the way, said that there was a flaw in the system, which they discovered around 6 a.m. and they are currently deciding whether they will charge those people the additional $5 and refund their deal bucks or just let those orders go. (Just a heads up in case some credit cards are charged the full $10.)
