Do you have a kiddo that is eager to learn to ride a bike but maybe you’re a little nervous about them getting injured, discouraged or both?! For me personally, I can still remember the anxiety that I felt as I watched my oldest son, Nicholas, try again and again to peddle down the sidewalk. It literally took days and days of practice and repetition before he really got the hang of it. Based on this experience, I only wish that I had known about Balance Bikes back then.

Balance Bikes are bicycles that are specifically developed to help children learn to ride the bikes safely with simple designs that lack chains and pedals……..pure “Kid Power”. The child can just sit down and start to push the vehicle around using his or her feet for help. The main benefits of choosing a balance bike are its safety, and the fact that kids can start practicing from a very young age, some as early as 12 months old. In the beginning, the seat is so low that it is possible for the child to touch the ground with his or her feet and to walk along; as your child becomes more confident, the next step is to run while sitting on the bike, and then finally to try gliding with both feet off the ground. Head over here to see some great Balance Bike Action Videos online.

Thanks to BikesThatTeach, one lucky reader will win the Strider Bike PreBike ($99 value) AND an extended seat post (a $9.95 value) to help assist with the proper fitting of the Strider as the child grows.

Hello ……….Thank you kindly for your interest in our new balance bike concept. The Hobby Bike is actually a real neat and fun model of balance bikes that we provide. We always note to each parent prior to purchasing a balance bike is play take into consideration many of our balance bikes do have a broad range of minimum seat heights. Minimum seat height review is very very very critical to the choice selection of any balance bike.

CRITICAL FITTING TIP: Seat Height / Please allow just 1-1.5″ of room between the rider and their seat. For example – If your child’s inseam is 14″, you will need to choose a balance bike that will allow a seat height of 12.5-13″ minimum. Our children will require to be able to sit on the seat and place both feet flat on the ground for stability and proper walking and running motion!

The Hobby Bike incorporates a 14.5 ” minimum seat height. Your child will require an inseam of 15.5″ to properly and safely operate the Hobby Bike.

    Hi,

The HIP2SAVE code is working, the hip2save10 is not. Please help! I assumed these codes could be stacked, is that correct? Or, do I have to pick one or the other?

      • Erin

Hi again, I’m sorry I think there is a typo in your reply that makes it confusing. So, we can use both promo codes on one order?

        • MommySpendLess

Erin, I asked that question earlier and here was Kevin’s answer:

To be specific, your hip2save promo code is good for 10% off your complete purchase including a balance bike and any additional safety or fun accessory.

But he new comments seems to say that you CAN stack them. I think I’m going to play around with it and see what happens. I’m ordering in a few minutes so I’ll report back.

          • MommySpendLess

I added a Strider bike and a bell (separately) to my order and tried to apply both codes. The 10% off code said “Congratulations, you have received $10.40 off” (10% of my $103.xx order. The other code HIP2SAVE said “Congratulations you have received $10.40 off a purchase of $49 or more” Only one deduction showed up so as far as I can tell you CANNOT use both codes.

            • Kevin

Good morning and Happy Superbowl Sunday. Coupon codes cannot be stacked within the order. Each and every order over $49 will ship for absolutely FREE within the Continental U.S and we pay your sales tax. 10% will be taken off the complete purchase price of your order. The Giveaway hip2save coupon code was mis-typed on the second exposure but both hip2save and hip2save10 are active but only one promo code can be utilized. Hip2save and Bikes That Teach apologies for the bit of confusion. Please feel free to contact us direct with any questions what so ever. We are open today 🙂
