Each event is sponsored by a leading brand (such as Kraft) and focuses on something cool that the sponsor wants its best fans to experience firsthand and share with their friends. Basically a House party let you share the products you like with all your friends, free of charge! Companies love to promote these type of events because it spreads the word about their products.

I’m from Louisiana and moved to WV about 8 years ago. That root beer extract is YUMMM! I miss it so much that when we go visit I stock up!

for my potty party I’m going to have the moms all draw there best version of a potty and then my guests will vote for best potty and the winner will receive a special gift pack: Johnson and Johnson Natural line Shampoo, body wash, and lotion (thanks Rite Aid!), pull ups wipes (thanks walmart!), pack of pull ups (thanks again rite aid) so far thats all I’ve come up with! (thanks couponing!) I’m also having toddler snacks any ideas?? I was thinking cheerios, juice boxes or bottles, baked chicken nuggets, and sliced grapes and maybe some snack cheese my son isn’t into cheese yet but I’m not sure about others 🙂
I got the Pull Ups party too… I am making a “fruit pizza” for the toddlers and mommas to snack on and having pirates booty as well as other toddler friendly snacks.

I’ve actually hosted several House Parties. It’s a lot of fun. I’ve done the Clorox Green Works, Sandwich Thins, Coffee-Mate (my favorite) and I have a Huggies Pull-ups party coming up. My moms group and neighbors LOVE it when I have a party too!
CoffeeMate wasn’t House Party – it was done through the Nestle company themselves.

I’ve hesistated on signing up for alot of these due to my hectic schedule and not know if i would actually be able to have a “party” to share my goodies. Do you have a specific time frame that you need to have the party? I
Yes, they will give you a date(s) that you have to do the party on.
But you can usually pick another date – I think that as long as you host it within a 2 week window and respond to the surveys you’re ok.

I got the email saying “You’re almost there..stay tuned and get ready to enter your information as a finalist” or somethingb to that effect. Unfortunately, that was followed by an email saying I hadn’t responded fast enough and the parties were filled. I read both those emails at the same time, because I hadn’t been checking my emails. I’m so mad at myself!!!
Does everyone that applies get those emails? Or did I almost get to host a party? My husband was sad when I told him I lost out on the Johnsonville party..he loves sausage!
No, most people who apply are just flat-out turned down. A select few get the email you received and then it’s first come, first serve. I have found that you need to be pretty quick when they send the initial “you qualify” one. HTH

The email you got meant you were in the first round of selection and you have a certain amount of time to confirm the party or they move on to the next round of selection and choose someone else which is why some people stay “yellow” longer than others. House Party is waiting to for people to confirm or not during that time. 🙁

They will send you an email with the Fed EX tracking number. I recieved mine today…was shocked to see all the Freebie coupons!

I was just chosen for the Philly Cream Cheese Party and I’m so excited! I have also done the Just Dance and the Tombstone party. We had so much fun.

I was chosen to have a Freschetta Pizza Party! It’s scheduled for this weekend! We’re really excited. They sent tons of nice pizza cutters to send home with our guests as well as a huge oven mit for us. I’ve never tried their pizza, so we’re looking forward to that!
I also won the Freshetta pizza party! They have the best frozen pizza….hands down! I am so excited! We got free pizza coupons for us to use for the party and coupons and pizza cutters for the guests! Plus the cool oven mitts! This is my 2nd House party!
I did the Durex Houseparty and they sent suggestive conversation hearts along with samples (party pack was great)…well I forgot, and my 15 year old brother came over and ate some…he of course read them first…boy was my face red!
I had a Wii Just Dance party. It was OK, but a lot of planning. Cost me more in food and drinks than the video game was worth though. Don’t know if I’d do another one. For example: The Kraft Sandwich party mentioned above gives you the meat, cheese, and mayo for the party…you still have to provide fresh loaf of fancy bread (Wonder won’t do), condiments like lettuce, pickles, mustard etc and sides such a potato salad and chips – in addition, don’t forget drinks, wine, beer…and maybe a small dessert. I guess I’ve been known to overdo it… but my family and friends like to eat.
I previously hosted the Rubbermaid mop party and have been chosen for a Philly cooking creme party coming up in March! I can’t wait. My friends and family love this as well. Waiting for my party pack to be sent out, but I hear that it includes a GreenPan skillet…..So excited.

We just had the TruMoo Chocolate Milk one. I had a valentine’s themed kids party. I never have parties so my husband was furious over how much money I spent on the actual party. if you have get togethers all of the time, this is the way to go, you don’t have to make it a big deal. I just had to make something go with chocolate milk and entertain children so it evolved and grew to be way too expensive, covering the fact I got some party favors for free.
I did the TruMoo party in my daughter’s class. All the kids loved their treats, I see a lot of them using the lunch bags. All it cost me were some cute cups and the milk-which is pretty expensive.
I am doing a pull ups one and have done a durex one 🙂

Besides hosting a party what are we required to do in return??
If you are selected they often send emails about doing a surveys before and after the party. This is to get your impression of the product before and after the party. They also usually send surveys to your guests to get their opinion of the product. They don’t ask for anything else, but they do want you to help promote their product (like blog about it, post something on facebook, post pictures of your party — its not required to do that but highly encouraged).

I did the pull up party. I didnt sign up for the sausage party because frankly Johnsonville sausages are kinda nasty, I dont think i’d even eat a free one haha. The pizza party sounds fun though!!

When I applied (johnsonville) My party said I could chose the date, I chose 2 weeks later since I was already having friends over that weekend.

Last summer I hosted a “Ball” canning party – they sent me a free stainless steel canner ($50 value!) and all kinds of canning supplies to use and give away – PLUS four cases of glass jars! I also did the Sabra hummus party and have the Pull-ups party next week!! I LOVE House Parties!! If you are looking to save money, just ask each of your guests bring one thing to help – snacks, drinks, paper plates, etc.

I got the Philly party. My first one. It was the second party I ever applied for. I think that’s pretty good luck from reading a lot of the comments here. My husband thinks it’s silly but on the other hand he hopes I get the Digorno (sp) Pizza one… go figure huh? lol I am a little concerned about the cost as I am providing ALL of the meats… Shrimp, Beef and Chicken for 10 people but we’ll see. Either way I am happy to get a party at least once.
I’m doing the Philly party too, did I miss somewhere that stated you had to do chicken, beef, and shrimp? I’m just planning on doing alfredo with chicken, salad, italian bread and something sweet (I am going to try to make tiramasu). I don’t think that will be that expensive. If you are worried about cost some sorta cheap pasta meal.
Holy Moly–the philly party is my first ever and I didn’t know how to check what was included in our “package” WOWZA!! A green pan, coupons, spoons, I can’t wait.
