  1. Amber

Thanks for posting the deals, Collin. I love love love Rite Aid. I just got my Loreal Youth Code Kit tonight and made $7 (my coupon was only $2, a regional difference). Yay!

I was wondering if anyone else has found the new Video Value set up to be less user friendly. I find it hard to tell whether I have watched all the videos that I am interesting in. It used to be that you could look at ALL of the possible videos and see which ones you had watched all on the same screen. Now you have to look into all the different categories to see whether or not they have been watched. The “index” doesn’t show whether or not they have been watched. Does anyone have any strategies for making sure they have watched all the ones they want to watch?

    • shannon

I agree completely! I hate the new setup. I try and go through each section one at a time so then I don’t have to come back to it later.

      • Amanda

I also hate the new setup. It is hard to figure out where to scroll, where everything is. It worked so much better the other way. Wonder if we all sent email to them, if they’d change it back?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

ugh. i hate the new setup on video values. i never know what section i need to be looking in, etc.

      • Tracie

        I agree!

    • Nicole

Agreed. I can’t for the life of me find the Afrin or Coricidin videos even! I wonder if they have a certain print limit and then remove the videos/links once it’s been met?

      • mouni

I agree about the video values site. It used to be so much better.
Nicole, The Afrin and Coricidin were removed by Rite Aid. They’ve been doing that lately I don’t know why. Just like the 3$ NM fish oil coupon was replaced with 1.50. That’s why I’ll make sure to watch next months VVs early.

    • Paulina

I missed out on the Loreal Youth Code, they were all out when I went and they said they couldn’t give me a rain check on those rewards it generated… I wanted it for my mom 🙁

      • Amber

🙁 They should have at least given you a raincheck for the sale 29.99 – 1 $5 Up. My store gave me one, but then I was able to find the kit in another store. Would you like me to send you my raincheck? You could still make a few $$ on it.

Can anyone please help me figure this out? Regarding the Kellogg’s Fiber One bars BOGO, I have a manufactures coupon that states “Buy any 2 Kellogg’s Fiber One bars, get a Kellogg’s Fiber Plus cereal for free” So any ideas on how that would work? I’m hoping I would just have to buy the one Fiber bar and get one Fiber bar free(according to the store sale) and also get the Kellogg Fiber Plus cereal for free(from the man. coupon). Does that make since? I would appreciate any input, thanks 🙂

    • shannon

You should in the end only pay for one box of bars. After they scan your wellness will subtract the price for one of the boxes of bars and your coupon will be for the price of the cereal. Is the cereal also included in the sale? Because if it is then maybe you could also get 2 boxes of cereal for free.

buy 2 boxes Fiber Plus Bars
buy 2 boxes Fiber Plus Cereal
Wellness subtracts price of 1 bar and 1 cereal.
Coupon subtracts price of 1 cereal = price of one box of Bars

Maybe? Its worth a shot, and makes sense in my head. haha if it doesn’t work you could always return it.

      • Wendy F.

Oh, smart thinking Shannon! Thanks for your reply 🙂 I’ll have to try that if the cereal is bogo as well!

        • Amber

I think I saw this scenario on iheartriteaid. You might want to check out what they said. 🙂

    • LaToya

The Fiber One cereal makes you poop – a lot; just sayin’.

      • Wendy F.

Thanks for the info 😉 That’s ok, it will help me with my weight loss!

  3. butterfly421

When you approach the register….do you already have your coupons out in your hand letting your cashier know you have coupons? Or after all your item scans, that’s when you take out your coupons like a surprise? thanks =)

I have never had any problems giving coupons after all items have been scanned but when i went today to purchase only 3 items, the cashier said that i have to give him the coupons before he scans it and he also asked for my I.D. just to make sure that the video value coupon i was using was mine which was fine with me. But giving the coupons before items scan? then he took a pen and checked my VV q hehe

    • gloria

This sounds like the cashier was being very picky. I’ve got my coupons out when I get to the register and usually kind of wing it on how many +UPR’s I’m going to cash in. Also, I’m a pretty regular couponer at my RA so the cashiers know that they will have a bunch of scanning to do…and most love watching my total go waaayyyy down, too!!

    • Lisa

I usually have my coupons out, but only because I pull the out as I shop. I never had a cashier act like that. I shop at 3 different RA. There is one RA that has 3 cashiers that are so NICE, I tend to go back there. I even wrote corperate the other day, just to tell them that how incredibly friendly they are!

      • Kel

I love that you wrote to compliment them! So many people only write to complain.

      • butterfly421

That’s it! Probably because I’m not a regular shopper in that particular RA. I just happened to be in that town & decided to stop by. It just made me think about how to hand the coupons because sometimes I imagine myself as the cashier dealing with coupons….of course i want it to be smooth sailing! There’s also one RA here with nice cashiers! 😉

    • Kim

I don’t even have my name on my VV coupons, it says Valuable Customer, so what would they say to that not matching my ID?? :o)

      • Julie S.

        That’s what I do too!

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Your name prints out on all the vv coupons how do you get it print without your name on it,

  4. stephanie

Is the sambucol liquid 1$ or just the capsules?

    • LaToya

Just got home – it was just the capsules…

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      What is sambucol?

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

homeopathic cold/URI symptoms medicine made from black elderberry

  5. Nicole

I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed this week. I’m kinda over the cold medicine/halls/lays/vitamins…lol. I’m excited to make $2 on the Clairol with my free coupon from their giveaway. 🙂 Oh…and the Nivea! But other than that…I’d like to start seeing deals on some other stuff!

    • Jennifer

I agree. Hopefully as the seasons change so will the deals. I am stocked up on halls and never had all the right coupons for the cold meds, vitamins, nasal spray or gas meds lol. Not that I needed any of them but I often buy stuff I won’t use if it is a decent money maker and let someone else have my stuff. I will get a few more of the freebie snacks since they are good for my hubby. Going earlier than normal tomorrow to try and get the Nivea!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

As someone who just got the WORST cold this week, I am super greatful for all of these deals! Sorry!!! lol They’ll be gone soon enough lol. As I’m hoping my cold will be too!

  6. Melissa

Ugg… I wish these chip deal were in a month or so… I am still stocked up from last time… but I know in about a month I will be in need of them again…

    http://www.howtosaveabucktoday.blogspot.com

    • Tricia

They are good for quite a while. You could always store them.

    • Lolo

yes they store for about a year so if you’ll need them again in a month, buy them now!

  7. Donna Mc.

“Use the $0.50/1 coupon from the March Video Value”

I can’t find this in the video value listing… can anyone tell me where to find it?

OOOP – Just found it under Cadbury — WTF? LOL

  8. Sandee

Bodi Heat patches 3-4 count is ringing up for $1 and you get $1upr. Some boxes have a $1 peelie on them. So its a possible MM!!! I purchased 5 this morning, so I think there is no limit.

    • LaToya

I bought 12….2 had peelies for 50-cents off…so those were MM, the rest were free; no limit so far…

      • Lolo

we had peelies a loooong while back when they had a previous deal going. Since then the boxes have been replaced and no new peelies anywhere around here. 🙁 I tried the bodi heat and I have to say I was very disappointed in them. They do not work nearly as well as thermacare. Not sure if I will buy them this time around…. wish we had peelies still. 😉

  9. Sandee

$3 off $15 Q when you enter the 16 digit code on your receipt for the survey. https://www.riteaidstoresurvey.com/ I don’t know how many codes (times) you can enter.

    • Barb

      Thanks!

    • Lolo

mixed findings on this but looks like no matter what tops is 3 per month. Some did not get but 2… so who knows for sure.

  10. Kate

Last week someone spoke of a oreo deal this week does anyone know if there is one, as
    Collin didn’t list one?

    • LaToya

They were on sale last week…and then with the manufacturer coupons it made them $1, with the manufacturer coupons and the VV it made them 50-cents; not on sale this week = not a great deal.

      • Kate

I knew they were on sale last week and someone mentioned there was a better deal next week. Guess they were wrong 🙁

        • wendy

Two weeks ago we could get them for $0.75 each and last week we could get them for $0.50 each.

  11. Tammy

Flogers coffee is on sale for 2.99 and is producing $1 up until 3/1 also on coupons.com you can print a coupon for 1.50 off 1 or $2.50 off 2. You will be allowed to print 2 coupons so for .49 not a bad deal. I was wondering if Maxwell is producing the $1 up because we do have coupons for them and also you can get $1 off 1 from the site listed above also. I love my coffee in the morning. I hope this was not posted else where. If so sorry for the duplicate. Just wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to get in on the deal of coffee.

    • Tabitha

How is this .49 for each? If $5.98 for 2 and use a $2.50/2 coupon and get $2 ups back….isn’t that $1.48 for 2…….or 74 cents each?

      • Amy

It’s only 49 cents if you use the $1.50/1 Q and it produces the $1 +up.

        $2.99
        -$1.50/1Q
        =$1.49
        + $1UP back =49 cents

        • Tammy

Thanks for the clarifacation on the coupon and up.

        • Tabitha

Ok….thanks so much for clarification….i only saw the $2.50/2 coupon. but either way its a great deal! Thanks so much!

      • nati

it will be 50 cents if u use 2 coupons for 1.50 off one.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

where are you finding the q’s? I just looked on coupons dot com and did not see any folgers coupons. Is there a specific zip code? Thanks in advance, we drink lots of coffee here so any help is great.

      • Tammy

I used my zip code and the surrounding areas…..Looks if the coupon is no longer available. Sorry:(

        • Kathryn

          Try 90210?

          • Lolo

nope all the $1.50 coupons are gone. have been for several days at least now…. on all zips.

    • Laurie M.

I did not get an UP for Folgers.

      • Tammy

The flogers coffee is the one that is on sale for 2.99 I believe it is the 11oz. I would recommend you calling the 800# and let them know that you didn’t get your up and they will send it to you. The are very good.

  12. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I’m probably way behind here, but when I logged into my wellness plan account, I had a $5 off $25.00 coupon waiting for me-good ‘tll May 31st. Not sure if this is for everyone, but it wouldn’t hurt to look.

    • LaToya

Yeah – we’ve been getting them for like the last 3 weeks or so….

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Woah! You are very lucky! I haven’t gotten ANY in a very long time. LaToya, do you mean that you were able to print one each week?

        • LaToya

Oh no no no….I meant they started popping up in to accounts a few weeks ago…. I didn’t get mine until a week after I heard bunches of people say they got theirs…so yours could still be coming 😉

    • butterfly421

My wellness account has $1 off Maybelline mascara for this week and i had $2 off maybelline fit me last week. No $5 off $25

    • Lolo

bummer still no offers available to me. (hasn’t been in a very loooong time. 🙁 ) But on a happier note, my point level is at 814 so less than 200 points away from rolling my gold status through 2012 uninterrupted. 🙂 After that I will boost my mom’s card for a while with anything that I do not need my 20% discount on. 🙂

  13. lms1983

I have a question .. I already used the 4/20 when its gone, its gone right? What if I had a card for my husband and did the video rewards for him and earned the 4/20.. can it only be used on his card? Or could I use it on mine? I know this is already gone, but I already did this for him, so its sitting there. Just want to know if I could use it on my card.. I think if I tried to use both of our cards and earned the UPs I would get confused on who’s was who’s..kwim?

BTW went to Rite aid Bought 6 nivea’s, 2 airwick motions, afrin and a bag of halls. Only paid .31 out of pocket and got 2 ups back.. not too shabby..Since its only my 3rd time going there. lol

    • Crystal

My fiance has a VV account and so do I. We use the VV coupons from both account on my one card. As long as you don’t try to use TWO of the same coupons in one transaction it will take it. I checked with my store manager to make sure that was okay and she said it is. 😉 Hope that helps!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I use everyone in my family’s video rewards. My husband, Me, My mother, My mother in law. If they are not planning to use theirs I ask. Like I’m the only one in need of diapers so any time there is a video coupon everyone knows to go ahead and watch it for me and then I use them with my Wellness card. I’ve never had a problem.

  14. Kristen

@Paulina–you should call 1-800-RITEAID about that because I’ve heard directly from their customer service reps that if you request a rain check, they should write on your raincheck form how many +Up Rewards should have printed and deduct that from the price when you actually buy the product. My store does that for me all the time! If they don’t know about that or don’t do it, you can call Customer Service after you buy it and they will send you the missing +Ups. ALWAYS get a rain check for out-of-stock items! You can also ask to pay for it in advance and pick up the product when it comes in. That way, the computer will print your +Ups and you can use your coupons if they are about to expire. I hope that helps!

    • Kate

One of the Rite Aid’s near me will not adjust the Q for the Ups. They have told me you have to call customer service and request the Ups. I did this and it takes 2 to 3 weeks for your Ups to maied to you. Ugh. Their explanation was if they adjusted the price for the product it was effecting their bottom line and that all Rite Aids were instructed to do this? My favorite store does adjust the price for me, so I prefer to go there unfortunately it is much smaller and doesn’t always have the stock.

      • Lolo

it really is true that Rite Aid does not get reimbursed for the amount of ups deducted from the raincheck so I try not to do it too much, as I want Riteaid to stay above water. On the other hand Riteaid needs to learn to stock their shelves for sales better so maybe this will kick it up a notch for them. 🙂

        • Dana

most of the time rite aid would have enough product for the sale,,, the store doesnt know what coupons are out there, that make certain products nearly free or money makers,,,

    • lynna

I had asked a csr bout my rain chk 4 the dove deodorant… i had like 8 coupons… before the coupons expired 2/27 i asked if i could pay nd pick up later and they said they didnt do that… now i have a rain chk and expired coupons…

      what to do?

  15. Ashley

I was wondering if their was any way to check to see how much you have earned for the heart healthy promo so far?

    • jen p

Me too! I searched all over the Rite Aid website and can’t find any way to check, I think I am close, but short of going through every reciept(ugh!) and figuring it out, I don’t see a way to check. If you know how to check your status, let us know! 🙂

      • Lolo

make this suggestion that you would like to be able to track your status in programs online, when you fill out the surveys! if it is requested enough it probably will happen.

  16. Deb

Is there any limit on the TGIF or Burger King, Combos or Lays deal? Thanks!

    • Ashley

      Not yet!

    • Kristen

My RIte Aid had signs posted today that limited it to one of each item

    • Jennifer

Our stores had no limit today. But they didn’t have the normal stock they usually do when nothing is on sale. Every time they got more in I think people with rain checks bought them up so we didn’t have much to start with.

  17. Heather

The shelf cleaner was out there early this morning and there were no Lay’s, Friday snacks, or Combos left to be found. I don’t go until after church but when the teeanger girl at the cash register asked me if I found everything I needed okay and I told her yes except that there were no snack items, she told me about the one lady who purchased a shopping cart full of all the snack items right after they opened this morning. Sigh………

    • Re: RA Erie Shopper

Some of our stores had the foresight to limit to two of each kind which I was thrilled about! I watched two women, with a full cart each, have to restock most of it because they did not pay attention to the signs. It made me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and my combos taste that much better right now.

    • Karissa

We used to have that problem at our Rite Aid but we kindly mentioned to one of managers we know pretty well that it’s a shame when things disappear so quickly like that. I’m guessing we’re not the only ones who spoke up, but now our store has been putting up very reasonable limits on some of the most popular items and it really does work out best for everyone. If this is an ongoing problem for you, I would recommend talking to a manager about it.

      • Heather

That is a good idea. Now I just need to figure out who the manager is………..I thought I knew but now I am not so sure. 🙂

    • Amanda

My closest RA always seems to be out and almost out of all the good deals by 9am. Today I made sure to be there as soon the store opened. However, I found out that 1 lady is taking almost everything. I heard the manager offering her cases of the Lays and helping her get multiples of every good deal. I’m all for good deals and sales for stores but come on 1 person shouldn’t be allowed to empty out a store within 2 hours.

      • Tricia

If there is an item we want lots of, we go around to different rite aids and buy a few at each one. No, i don’t hoard it. I use this stuff so that i can offer snacks to my family. We are on a shoe string budget. I never clear the shelf unless it is almost empty already.

    • Jennifer

I had a lady today grab all of the sour cream & onion Lays off the shelf almost right in front of me while I was looking for the TGI snacks. Luckily I got a couple at the other store but I never take all of something. She had probably 15-20 containers. Very rude those people are!

  18. patty

Hi, I’m kind of new to rite aid, and walgreens, so I have a question. On alot of the deal scenarios you mention to use 2 or 3 of the same coupons, will rite aid take them even though they say limit one per purchase? I do see where some coupons say one per specified product. BUT others do say one per purchase. thanks

    • Alexis

Every item you buy is considered a “purchase”…so one coupon per purchase just means you can only use one manufacturer coupon on each item. If the coupon said “one per transaction”, that would be different (a transaction would be everything you’re buying). Hope that makes sense!

  19. Jennifer

I went to Rite Aid this morning….I did the Aveeno deal (buy $25 get $10 up reward). At the register I handed over all my coupons including the free Aveeno product up to $10.99 from the previous mail in offer. The cashier wanted to use the lowest priced Aveeno product that I had purchased as my free item?? When I inquired, he called a manager and the manager said the same thing. After several minutes of deliberation they finally gave me the $10.99 off, since the highest priced item I purchased was $11.99….Did anyone else encounter this problem? What a hassle! I love it that retailers want to get you a lower price that the coupon states, but they get the full value back from the manufacturer.

    • Nicole

I’m not quite sure I understand their logic. Or why they would try to give u the lowest priced item free. They have to write on the coupon right at that moment the amount that is being deducted. Wouldn’t it be fraudulent to only take off say…5.99 and then write 10.99 on the coupon?

I never understood why most places only give you sale price off. They’re only going to get reimbursed what’s written on the coupon. Wouldn’t they WANT the full value of the coupon back?

  20. Jamie

I have been carrying around 2 coupons for Nexxus products for about a year now, with the $10 +up when you buy $20 worth of products I decided it was finally time to purchase the oh so expensive shampoo. 1 shampoo and 1 conditioner was $27! Which is way above my price point. $6 in manufactures coupons, $4/20 coupon, $1 VV, $1 VV, and $10 +up reward = $5 for two products.

This is still above what I spend on hair care, which thanks to Collin is nothing. But I thought spending $5 on $27 worth of hair care was good. 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Sounds like it was well worth waiting and holding on to those coupons! Isn’t that the most accomplished feeling ever!

  21. Debbie

Does anyone know much about the TGIFridays, Burger King, Combo, and Lays deal? Does it print $1 UPs for any of those items? Last time I bought Hormel Compleats my store had sign on only flavor. The other flavors didn’t have the sign and didn’t produce any UPs. I only saw the $1 UP for the Lay Stix Cheddar flavor so I was wondering if it was limited.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Debbie- I received a $1 up for each of the products you named, lays stax, etc. and I purchased every variety available and was not limited to how many I could purchase. HTH

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

The 1 up is not limited to the cheddar flavor, or any particular flavor on the combos. I didn’t do the BK or TGIF, unfourtunately you can’t pay me to take those ones lol.

    • LaToya

All flavors of each snack item is working this week. The only flavor thing I have heard so far is on the Folgers…not working on the decaf for some reason…

    • Joan Southwick

we did NOT get the UPS for the Lays products, and they were ringing up at regular price,, we pointed it out to the cashier, who went and got the manager and they gave us a gift card loaded with $6.00 for the money we would have gotten for the ups…

      • me

Did they scan your wellness card?

    • Felicia

I bought 4 Lays tonight, 3 different flavors, and they were $1 each, and I got the 1$ UP reward for all four. I just found about Rite Aid and I’m in love!

    • Lolo

it is not limited to any flavors or amounts except beware that you can print a maximum of 19 ups in a transaction (combined) so be sure to break your orders up if you have lots!

  22. Melissa

All the snack foods were gone when I got there today (everything was completely stocked yesterday). The cashier said 3 ladies come in together every week and clean them out. There are five RAs in my area and the cashier said the store got word those ladies cleaned them all out today. I just can’t believe how many people are “all about me”. Now the store is talking about imposing limits. We wouldn’t need limits if people used commonsense and courtesy. Okay, my rant is over.

    • Maureen

I have to agree. My stores were completely wiped out too. And the manager said it was one person! I would be so embarrassed to do that. And I thought the UP rewards were one per trip, so I only ever take one at a time. If I knew you could do more I still wouldn’t take more than 2 or 3. But, to each his own. Personaly, I would feel really greedy to wipe out the shelves. Anyway, it is all “junk” food and nothing anyone really “needs”!

    • fairydust

Our local RAs all had up “Limit 4 on BK, Lays, TGIF, and Combos” signs all over the store. So at least I was actually able to get some when I went at 3pm yesterday – amazing! I figured they’d be cleaned out.

  23. Hip2SaveReader

You must get alot of stains in your house. I have a bottle that has lasted over a year!! At that rate it would take me 27 years to use all those bottles!!!

    • HeidiP

Bottle of what???? What are you talking about? just curious.

      • Latasha

There is a comment about someone getting 27 bottles of Tide Stain Release from Safeway and only paying tax. The above reply just isn’t linked to the comment the poster is referring to.

        • HeidiP

          Thanks!

    • marcia

LOL WISH I HAD 27! i have 12 children(3 grown, 1 with a baby) I’d be through that so fast…! funny how what one person gets is “barely reasonable” and another person gets 1/4 that and is trying to figure where they can donate it becasue they will “never use it all up” !

  24. Stacy

There is a $1off 2 combos coupon courtesy of Coors- Nascar. Made my combos a $.50 MM. There were lots around my town along with plenty of TGIF’s and Burger King snacks. The only one that was in short supply were the Lay’s. Coupon expires tomorrow though.

  25. Laura

I read Collins Rite Aid store guide and it was really helpful, but does anyone know if i can use the $1 up reward (earned from the lays stax) to buy more Lay’s Stax? Would it still print another $1 UP reward?
    Thanks in advance! 🙂

    • Joan Southwick

yes,, you can buy 5 stax, get $5.00 in UPs and buy more stax or anything else you want to.

    • Joan Southwick

yes,, you can buy as many stax as you can find, get $1 ups for each one,, and re use them to buy more stax… we call it rolling.

      • Laura

        Thank you!

  26. Donia

So I could totally be missing something but…I did my video values and they were only offering a $2/10 beauty bonus…???? I read through most of the comments and didn’t see anything posted so I figured I would just ask! Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes, collin posted yesterday the vv list and the 2/10 is only good on whats listed on the coupon.

      • Donia

Ahhh yup…just found the post. Must have scrolled right past yesterday. Thank you!

  27. A

So I got my 2 boys up early this morning (so that they could be dressed and fed before we leave), and headed down to my rite aid in puyallup wa. Last week the shelves were cleared from the j&j deal, and I did not get 1 bottle (even after their re-stock on Thursday) by the time I went in at 11am. So I’m thinking I’ll get there earlier this time. I walked in around 9:30 (or close to that time) only to find 2 ladies at the register had their carts filled with snacks, and the shelves were completely empty! I spoke with some of the ladies who work there, and they said there’s at least 4 ladies LINED UP on Sunday morning before the store opens just to snag up all of the deals. I mean really?! I can understand wanting 1 or 2 bags of your favorite flavor, but a dang basket full?! Ask if you can do a special order for goodness sakes before you clear out shelves so that some of us can get products. Asking for rain checks gets REALLY old. Especially when you encounter the shelf clearers doing their transactions right in front of you. Do people have no shame, and no consideration? Sorry to rant, but seeings that I always have to bring my kids shopping, it’s extra work for all of us to get to the store…. And for what? To go home empty handed (or rather a slip of paper with no promise those ups will print). Nothing seems more frustrating!!

    • tinker

The ups won’t print after the week is up, but they adjust the price down so you end up less out of pocket.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Our Rite Aid limited the snacks to 2 of each brand this week so I was finally able to get some.

    • Jennifer

I can totally relate. I have a 20 month old and sometimes I have to take him with me which requires more time getting ready and I can’t walk out the door as quick. Even getting there at 9:30am a lot of times I have already missed out or the specific flavor/type I have a coupon for is already gone. I always get rain checks but so does everyone else. Many rain checks I end up not being able to use because as soon as they get more in they are gone right away. My store will rain check the lays price but not the UP because it isn’t in the printed ad for these food ups. Bugs me when I see someone take all of one flavor. If there was only 3-4 of them I could understand but when you take all 20 of them it is just rude!

    • L

I also shop in puyallup (canyon rd) and love the cashiers there! A couple of the cashiers have told me about one shopper in particular that clears the shelves on Sunday morning which I agree is very frustrating. I have started getting rainchecks which are great! It is kind of a pain to do alot but I’ve just started to do it on the best deals if I miss out on them. They will give you the raincheck for the amount after the ups. Last week I got rainchecks for J&J bathsoap and the desitin and it is written for $.99 so after I use my coupons (when they finally restock) it will be nothing out of pocket which is even better than having to deal with the ups. Good luck!

      • A

I agree sometimes having rain cks are easier than dealing with the ups sometimes, but the problem with the snacks is that it’s an unadvertised ups, so they won’t write it on the rain check. Also, when something is a MM, if I get a rain check and use it, the cashiers refuse the coupon if it’s over the amt left to pay. They won’t give me the overage. The sad thing is that there’s about 5 RA’s within a 30 mile radius, but by the time I go to 1 and they’re out, it cost more in gas to get to another RA and home vs. the deal I’m getting.

There wasn’t too much that I wanted to get at Rite Aid this week, but I was excited to get the Libman Freedom mop. I tried it out as soon as I got home. Love it! I got the mop, 1 bag of Halls, 4 Nivea lip balm, and 2 snacks for $1.81 oop after coupons and Ups. Plus I will still get the $5 rebate on the mop.

    • Julie

Can I ask what coupons you had to make the mop so cheap? Ive been wanting one…

      • LoriN

The only coupon I had for the mop was a $2 VV, but the mops are 40% off. They are $13.79 at my store minus $2 VV minus the $5 MIR makes it $6.79. I used Ups to get my total that low.

        • LeeAnn

Great regular price on the mop! In my area it was $20 plus change. I plan to take it back this week and get a price adjustment then submit for the rebate!

  29. ginawardell

Does anyone know when the Lays up reward expires? My Rite Aid restocks on Tuesday.

    • Donna Mc.

I am curious about that as well. I wanted to get a rain check, but did not want to bother if there will be no UPs by the time they have stock again.

    • Jennifer

I believe is is March 1st which is tuesday.

  30. Julie

I did the video rewards the other night and printed a coupon that was $4/$20 purchase. On the top it says Beauty Bonus, but nowhere on the coupon does it say $4 off on $20 of beauty products. Do you think I can use this on any other merchandise in the store? I want to use it on lysol. TIA!

    • hi

yes, I believe you can use it on non-beauty items.

      • Julie

        Thank you!

  31. Kristin

I am having trouble with the Facebook coupon for Nivea lip care. I go to facebook, sign in, I have already like the nivea site but the page is blank. Anyone else having this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks for the amazing tips for saving money weekly!

  32. hi

I have two questions, if you have a coupon that expired a day ago, can you use it? how tough are the rules on redeeming them. I don’t want to do it if it is wrong but I am specifically asking about a coupon that is just a day expired. And also, are the stores able to send the coupons to the manufacturer the same day. For example if I buy something on the 27th (the coupon expires the same day). Will the store have to send it out immediately and will they get reimbursed from the manufacturer?

    • Nicole

I cannot definitively answer your questions…but I would say…no and no. An expired coupon is an expired coupon…whether its a day or a month. I’ve had a couple situations where I had a coupon that had expired a day or two prior and didn’t even realize it until I saw a duplicate later on. In those situations they scanned with no problem, but the cashiers were obviously not paying attention. So to answer your question..I would say it depends entirely on whoever is ringing you up.

If the coupon expires today, you can use it today. And I seriously doubt the stores are required to send them in before they expire.

    • Jenna

Rite Aid does not accept expired coupons. It’s stated in their coupon policy. If one gets through unnoticed the cashier could get in trouble for that. It would be nice though! Sometimes, the deals get a little to enticing to stay on the ethical side of couponing, but like it or not we do have an obligation to obey the rules. (Even if I do have to bring myself back down to Earth kicking and screaming)
As far as store reimbursement, I believe they collect all the coupons and send them in to a coupon clearing house for processing on a weekly or even a monthly basis. So, coupons can and do expire before the manufacturer pays.

      • hi

Thank you Jenna. I definitely don’t want to use it if it is not legit and can put someone or the store at loss.

    • Lolo

      Hi,
yes you can use an expired coupon safely for about a week at most stores. They will still get reimbursed. Most stores only submit their coupons about 1x/month. My stores know this and would rather have the sale than for me to not complete the sale because of a 1 day expired coupon. They will still be reimbursed so I say give it a try. It is of course up to the manager if it is brought to attention. (I always ask to ask the manager if this happens and so far they have always said yes as they know they will be reimbursed, so give it a try.)

      • Dana

Rite aid sends in their coupons every week (sunday-saturday), (so put in mail every Monday for the past week) , they have to be in within so many days to get creidt for them,,,

        • hi

Thank you so much for your help! 🙂

      • hi

Ok. I will check with my store. Thank you for your help 🙂

      • hi

Lolo, thanks for your response. I will check with my local store and see if they allow it or not.

  33. Donna Mc.

Soft Soap hand soap pumps are on sale for $1. Are there any coupons out there and if so, does anyone know which insert? I may still get this for $1 without coupon, but thought to ask. Thanks.

    • butterfly421

      There’s a .35cents SS 1/30 insert but it expired on 2/19.

  34. Donna Mc.

Thanks! I found a $1/2 soft soap hand soap in the same insert that had the $1 off one soft soap body wash (I think it was 2/6 SS maybe). Anyways, CVS has these for $88 cents this week, so a better deal than the $1 at Rite Aid. If I used the $1/2 coupon it would be .76 for two or .38 each. 🙂

  35. Brianna

So can anyone help me? i try to get the airwick coupon and it says “We’re unable to support coupon printing on your system at this time…” does anyone know another site its on or a way around this?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I was using Google Chrome and I got that error, when I switched to Internet Explorer it worked fine.

  36. paula mcintosh

The sambucol was 13.49 at my store. Incrediable deal.

  37. lilroysmom2

im sorry i know the monthly food ups (the stax ect ) is ending but is the last day to do it today (monday) and a new one start tue or will i still get the ups tommorrow (tue) and that is the last day of the sale?

    • Dana

      • mel

actually, the food ups are good until tomorrow, 3/1. 3/2 starts the new rebate month, and any new UP promos will start on the 2nd as well.

    • Roger

I just tried on what was left, which was TGI Fridays, and no +Ups. It is over.

  38. esther

all TGIF, burger king, Combos and Lays ALL producing $1 UPs? or just lays?

    • kim

      all are producing UPS.

  39. mel

I had a really good trip today. I was surprised to find everything in stock. I bought
2 Samubocol (what a steal! reg price $12.99 for a buck, free with $1/1 coupon)
1 Mr Clean Magic Eraser $1.99 – used .75/1 cpn from Home Made Simple
1 Mr Clean Liquid $1.99 – used .75/1 cpn from Home Made Simple
1 Gain Fabric Softener – 2.99 (itty bitty bottle! free with $3/1 cpn, adj down)
2 Nestle Raisenettes .88 each, used .50/2 cpn from last weekends insert
6 Lays Chips (and plenty left on the shelf!!)
used $9 in ups and paid a little over $2 for everything with tax!

    • Michelle L.

      Mel,

Where did you find the $1/1 Sambucol coupon?

  40. Tracy

I have a question about calculating OOP expenses when paying with Up Rewards. I’ve gone over this in my brain a million times and I can’t quite figure it out. Let’s say I buy items at RA and my total after coupons is 10. I pay using 5 Ups and $5 cash. Then I receive 5 Up back. I’ve seen people often say that would mean that it’s like they got everything free because the Ups they got back cancel out the $5 cash they had to pay. But if your considering Ups like cash back, then wouldn’t you have to say that it’s like you spent $10 OOP (Ups + Cash) and got $5 back (in Ups) making your actual expense $5. Does that make sense? For some reason I can’t wrap my brain arouhd this but I think that people aren’t getting as good of deals as they think because they’re calculating it wrong.

    • HeidiP

In your scenerio the cost would be $5.00. It would definately not be considered free. If somone is calling spending $5.00 free, well, that would just be strange! For me UPs are just like cash. If my transaction cost $10.05 and I pay with $10.00 in Ups and get $10.00 in UPs back then my transaction costs 5 cents.

  41. audrey

ok have not seen this but the RA brand dryer sheets 80 ct are ringing up .99 and you are getting a $1 UP so free! My stores that i visited today had a few and I was able to buy a few at each store and all rang up .99 with a $1 UP printing! Signs posted says $1.99 with $1 UP so .99 but mine rang up less than that was so excited!

  42. Kaleena

The Air Wick kit was $13.99 at my Rite Aid.

  43. mysticalgal69

I actually got the Clairol Nice and Easy Foam for 1.99…used the $3 coupon from this Sundays paper, and on the last page of the RA ad, it has a $2 coupon off Clariol Nice and Easy… The Foam says Nice and Easy on it… So it went thru with the extra $2 off…

  44. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just a heads up…..the $4 Claritin coupon is for 15-count or larger…..so, will not work on the 10 ct. as stated above……

  45. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Anyone know if you could still get the UPs for food today or was that over yesterday????

    • Amy

I was wondering the same thing….I heard that today is the last day for it but I wanted to be sure before I went and bought some.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

the +Up was printing on the TGIF snacks today

        • Kristen

I was getting ready to ask this same question…thank you!!! 🙂

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I just asked a manager yesterday before I bought the snacks if it was the last day they would print. She told me it was the last day they would print then she turned to the cashier and told her, as if I wasn’t right there being checked out, that the only way ‘these people’ could know it was the last day was by the internet becuase it isn’t advertised anywhere.

ummmmm ok. I never knew finding out what day a sale ended is suppose to be a secret. The shelves were stocked so I was lucky enough to get everything I wanted.

    • Amber

  47. Desiree

I hope “Emily” didn’t forget to mention that the plus ups on the Body Heat, Stax, TGIF, Combos, etc…. Ends on 3/2.

    • mel

no, they end TODAY 3/1. 3/2 starts the new monthly UPs/SCR period.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Does anyone know what the new food reward are for the rest of the month then?

    • Samantha Booker

Yes, I was so disappointed today ( hey, it happens). Someone had wiped out the chips first thing Sunday morning; the manager confirmed that a cashier had let one lady buy 30 Lays Stax and she didn’t find out until later. I was thrilled to find a single canister along with quite a few of the Burger King and TGIF snacks at another store so I picked up 5 total and then no +Ups printed. =( Also none for me on the Bodiheat, but I did have a $1 Q ( from previous packaging, I think) and so one was free and the others had .50 peelies, so I just kept those.

I would also be interested in info on the food promos; I have loved stocking up on groceries at Rite Aid!

  48. Patty

Has anyone tried “price matching” at walmart for the deals that are “Deals” without UPS. Like the Snackerz and Nivea Lip Care? Wouldn’t these also be free at Walmart if you showed them the ad and they price matched??

    • Stefany

As long as the deal doesn’t include any Up Rewards, then yes they should price match. 🙂 Good idea for items that will sell out quickly at Rite Aid.

    • Veronica

I priced matched at Walmart and they accepted it. I received 4 of them for free.

  49. Joanna Rafael

Ensure – Starting March 2 there is also a 2.5$ rebate (limit 4)

    • BLT

The Ensure rebate is only for the Ensure Clinical 4pk ($9.99 and no up+).
If you still have the coupons for B2G1 and the older $3.00 off one, it can still make a pretty good deal especially if you’re at the 20% stage.
Important note: some of the newer $3.00 off have a limit of 1 per transaction instead of 1 per purchase so you may not be able to combine them with the B2G1 coupon.
