New to CVS Shopping?
Check out my CVS Store guide!
thanks collin 🙂
Collin! for the Right Guard body wash for men there is about 99.9% of the time $1 off peelies on them making them a money maker.. all this past week I have gone to several rite aids and saw them on those body washes…keep your eyes “peeled” for those peelies girls!! Money maker! yay!
Awesome! Thanks for the heads up! 🙂
No problem! I been looking forward to that sweet deal all week and it became even sweeter when i saw how available those peelies were to find. Plus they smell great. Some for the hubby? lol 🙂 Happy shopping!
It’s illegal to sell ANY kind of coupon, really. If we’re compensating time for the “legal” coupons, then I suppose we ought to compensate those who are taking the time to remove the peelies and collect the blinkies.
Obviously it is annoying to find that people have removed peelies when it’s a product you’re buying, and yes it’s rude. But people are going to buy them, plain and simple.
Yep found peelies at both CVS locations here.
Sorry if I am getting annoying on the whole peelie discussion yall but I just cant get over how fun couponing has been for the past 2 months for me! This deal in particular is great, like other great deals but when you get to walk in the store and you find a glorious peelie that makes your deal even sweeter, doesnt that just put the icing on the cake?!
It is great when you find peelies. But saddly, in my neck of the woods, people take the peelies off products on the shelf. Leaving the product peelie less on the shelf.
yikes cathy sorry to hear that, thats really a bummer. But here’s hoping you find some to get on this better than sweet deal! Fingers crossed especially for ya!
Eeks! Sometimes I’ll take one peelie, if it’s something I know I’d like to buy later when it’s on sale. I’ve read that is ok in the couponing etiquette book, right? :/
On a further note, one time when I was at Meijer I witnessed a woman going up and down the aisles taking ALL of the peelies off EVERYTHING in just about every aisle. I almost wonder if she had a coupon clipping/ebay service or something. That I found upsetting!
If I don’t buy the product when I’m in the store, i don’t remove the peelie.
A simple plan for simple Q’ers.
I’ve purchased coupons from Ebay only to find that they were pulled from blinkies. I didn’t really appreciate that! I think it unfair to those who shop in the stores that the Blinkies were placed in!
I think the companies might be starting to catch on to the peelie stealers. I found the poptarts mini-crisps with manufacturer’s peelie on them that stated they weren’t valid unless taken off by the cashier. And every single box on the display still had its peelie. The q’s were for get the minis free when you bought 2 12ct regular poptarts so it was much better than the $1 off 3 that I had brought.
I’m sorry, but I think that is BAD coupon ettiquett take a peelie off a product that your not buying right then and there! RUDE!
Last year, I was brand new to couponing and I read about a deal on Glade candles being $1.67 at Target and inside there was a coupon for $1.50/1 off in the tin. I bought 2 candles @ full price and then took the coupons out and bought 2 more more candles and did it one more time. There was a huge number of candles on the shelf. I went back a few days later to buy some more candles (and I had 2 coupons from the previous purchase) but someone (or several people) had gone through all the candles and taken the coupons out of the tins. I was shocked!! I did not buy any of the candles. My common sense seem to tell me that unless I was going to buy the product I was not entitled to the coupon at least the one attached to the product. If the coupon is attached to the product somehow I guess I think that the person who buys that product should benefit from the discount.
A few months later I went to Walmart and the Glade tin candles had the $1.50/1 coupon inside them and no one seem to know or care. I went to this Walmart for several weeks in a row and out of curiosity checked to see if the coupons were still there and yes they were. The candles were $2.50 and I did not want to pay that much for the candles even after the coupon. I never took any of the coupons but I don’t know if I would have blamed anyone if they took one or 2. There was plenty of them and no one seem to be eager to buy the candles.
In the end I just coupon the way my common sense tells me too which is basically to try and be fair and just to all.
Last week at RA I noticed the Right Guard had peelies, went back a couple days later and all the peelies were gone. All the product was still on the shelf but the coupons were missing. Whats really is irritating is that the person(s) stealing them aren’t going to use them at RA …obviously since the sale is at CVS. …Not Cool!! I never take peelies unless I’m buying the product, and if I buy 2 I only take one with a peelie one without.
If you ever see a coupon clipping site on ebay selling blinkie coupons – FLAG them! It is illegal to sell blinkie or tearpad coupons.
I ran into an interesting scenario last week – I had a tearpad q for buy 3 cokes, get 1 free. I had taken the coupon the week before, knowing they were going to be on a sale the next week. When I used the coupon, a manager had to come over and approve it because it made the register beep. Turns out that someone had stolen all of the coupons from the tearpad and they had reported it to Coke, which made all of the coupons beep as if illegal (the cashier suggested it was more than just their store that had the problem). I had never heard of this before and quickly admitted that I had taken it on my last shopping trip. They allowed me to use it, but boy did I feel sort of icky about it. My grocery store doesn’t love my coupon usage (always correct and legal) and I think this further tarnished their opinion of me.
thanks Collin! You rock!
thanks
Deal with diapers for the PG promotion will be sweeter if you have a diaper coupon! Not sure if Collin left it out by mistake.
I agree. There is a $1 off in the P&G Everyday booklet or a $3 off in the 4/3 P&G!
Oh my… I am such a dork! 🙂 I completely forgot to add the most important coupon of all! Thanks for catching that… just updated the post!
Be sure to scan your card if you want diapers. The magic coupon machine spit out a “$3 off any diaper purchase of $10 or more” for me earlier this week. Can’t wait to use it with the Pampers deal.
It excludes diapers. Bummer.
????
Yes, how can a $3 off diaper purchase coupon exclude diapers? Do you mean Pampers?
CVS deals look great this week and next week
Check your email. Yesterday, I got a $5 off $25 coupon in my email from CVS that is good through Monday. Woohoo!
Same here!
Does the end total before coupons have to be $25 or after coupons has to be $25 to use this coupon?
Thanks!!
$25 before Tax & Coupons.
I would check and ask. I think that it may depend on stores or areas. I have had a few times that I’ve tried these types of deals, and not gotten the ECBs b/c I was told the total was counted AFTER coupons 🙁 I don’t know if it’s store by store or different areas. It wouldn’t hurt to ask, though. Hope it works for you, though!
That happened at one of my stores on the $10 ECB on a $25 P&G purchase… told it was because I used a $4/20 CVS coupon I got in my e-mail. THe clerk was super nice though and just forced it through anyway. I’m loving having a CVS after fighting with my old Wags about EVERYTHING and being treated like a petty thief. So far, I’ve found CVS much more accomdating and nice overall!
I work for CVS ladies, the total has to be $25 before tax and coupons, everywhere. If you’re not getting your ECBs, ask for a manager, and keep complaining til ya get em!
before coupons…i just used mine! had best trip ever to cvs…$38 worth of stuff for $1.23! woo hoo
ALWAYS hand over $ off of $$ coupons first!!! ALWAYS!!!! that way it uses the total before coupon deductions. Some stores are different, but this way you are always safe!!
Definitely BEFORE tax and coupons. Cashiers may say it’s after, but they are wrong. Just don’t hand them the stack of coupons with that one on top thinking they will scan it first. They don’t always scan the top coupon first. Beats me why. Just hand them that coupon first without ANY others. 🙂
Thanks so much for reminding me… it had gotten buried in my email! How could I…?!
Thanks so much for reminding me… it had gotten buried in my email! How could I…?!
Is this P&G different from the one in early March? I know that one was a one per customer deal. I want to make sure that they are different.
Yes they are different. I did the other deal as well. It was Spend $25 INSTEAD OF $30 AND GET $10 ecb 🙂
Really appreciate the input! You are awesome!
Your welcome 🙂 Hip2save has helped me save so much, especially on diapers! I have a two and a half month old son and haven’t hardly bought a package of diapers that either wern’t on sale or didn’t have a coupon for. And I stick with papmpers, because they are the only one that haven’t leaked real bad for my son…. Huggies were AWFUL about leaking.
I only use pampers on my son. Not because they don’t leak because 5 minutes after I put huggies on him anywhere that the diaper touched he would be so red. Same way with Luvs. So I just stick with Pampers. I love them. 🙂 Since I found this site to, I barely had to pay for diapers or a lot of other things too!
The last time I tried to do the Gas-X deal with the Prevention stuff, it wasn’t included. Also, the register would only take one of my coupons – then the cashier pointed out that it said one per purchase, and of course could NOT be convinced to just push through the second one. I don’t know what the problem with the coupon was, because I used two of them in the same transaction at Walgreens this week.
One per purchase means one per item purchased. Each item is a purchase. It’s not the same as obe per transaction…your cashier was wrong.
I know, but she just couldn’t be convinced of that. It wasn’t a big deal, though, since the Prevention wasn’t included in the ECB deal, anyhow.
I was able to print a $0.75 coupon for gum flossers making them a MM. It is a coupons.com coupon that I printed out a few days ago off a link from iheartcvs….don’t know if it is still available.
That q ran out of prints 🙁
Does CVS take two coupons on a BOGO ? I was wondering because they don’t have a coupon policy and the colgate deal sounds great
Mine will not take both coupons on a BOGO free sale 🙁
My CVS will take 2 coupons on a BOGO deal. So maybe you can ask the manager of the store you frequent if they will. But before I knew if my store would or not I printed off the CVS Store Guide that Collin has available on this website to take with me. It includes a Email reply from CVS Customer Service that says they WILL take two coupons on a BOGO free sale. I didn’t need it but you may be able to use it to convince your store manager to ok this deal if they don’t at first. HTH
hand over any $ off coupons first, then your BOGO coupons and it should go through.
I always do it the other way – I have had the register or cashier take off the $x/1, and then take off the rest of that item for the BOGO. So, it ends up making the $x/1 Q worthless. I’ve never had a problem handing over the BOGO first.
I do the same.
Is the Mentos deal for the candy or gum? I thought the 3/20 coupon was for gum.
Oops! Just realized that it is for the gum. Sorry about that… I am going to go ahead and remove that deal since the sale is on the candy.
I’ve used two coupons on past BOGO deals and not had any problems.
Allegra Allergy mediciine is also on sale. And there is a $4 coupon and the $5 extra bucks is back in effect.
I am stocking up since I used to take this when it was a prescription item!
http://www.gaynycdad.com
My cvs closes at midnight so would their computers change over sometime tonight? Any clue how I find out?
ask them
So ecb limit 2 means I can get the ecb twice, can I do this is same transaction to get 2 separate ecb or do I need to do two transactions?
Yes, you can get them twice. If you do it in the same transaction, you will get ONE ECB for the whole amount, for that reason I usually split them up so I can get two ECB in a smaller denomination.
Anna, you can do it all in one transaction if you want. No problem there.
thanks ladies. i guess it would be safer to do two trips; since there were more cases where it didn’t print all out.
Also if you go a different day you can scan your green bag tag to make an extra .25!! =]
Hi Briana, can you please explain how the green bag tag works? After I staretd shopping at CVS for 2 months now & using my own bags each time, one of the cashiers finally informed me of the leaf and how you can make ,25 cents each day you use it & I will get $1.00 print out once I use it 4 times. My question is can my husband use the same leaf that I recently paid $1 for or is my leaf hooked on to my CVS card too & he has to get his own leaf? TIA for any feedback.
You can use the leaf with any card.
You can only use the leaf once a day with one card.
If I buy something with my card, I use the leaf.
If I buy something that same day using my mom’s card (she doesn’t drive and I shop for her), I also use the same leaf.
I think I just confused myself. LOL!
Someone correct me if I just messed up 🙂
I found a $2 coupon on the Complete multi-purpose solution. This would make it a $2 moneymaker. You have to enter your name and e-mail.
https://www.completecomfort.ca/register.php
Thank you so much! It doesn’t expire until 12/31/11, so I printed a few for some future deals. Woohoo!
This coupon is only good in CANADA……………=(
Does anyone know how to find out if your store’s computers change over on Saturday night for the next week’s sales? My store closes at 11pm or 12am.
The 24hr store I shop does not turn the sales over until after 6pm on Saturday, as thats when they start pulling the old sales tags down and putting the new ones up, while the store that closes at 10pm that I shop every now and then, has Sundays sale prices in the system around 3pm on Saturday. Best advice I can give you is if you know something is on sale starting Sunday, price scan it. If it scans the sale price, you are more than likely good to go. Note though, anything that is a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday ONLY, that will not ring up until Sunday.
Thanks! That helps a ton. I have been wanting to try going on Saturdays, because by the time I get there everything is out of stock.
What do the Mars Easter singles look like?? I asked at my store last week and the manager had no idea what I was talking about.
Thanks!
I found the Snickers Eggs in alittle box Underneath some Butterfinger eggs or something. The Snickers Eggs were in little green bags (like a skittles bag, but smaller). I almost didn’t find them because they didn’t even have the sale sign on them either.
found a great deal at wags today on clearence wisp colagate for 1.19 used coupon for 1.00 off pkg sz 8 cost .19cents pluse tax!!!!
If you use the B1G1 Right Guard coupon with the Publix B1G1 Right Guard Q from the Green Advantage Flyer (starting today) you can get deodarants and body washes free. Additionally, on some of the Right Guard body washes there are $1.00 off peelies. So the final cost would be a moneymaker for the equivalent of how many peelies you can manage to get along with how many B1G1 q’s you have.
Sweet! Thanks for the head’s up on this deal!!! Publix is by far the most “coupon friendly” store for me.
I really love Publix too! 🙂
I went tonight to pick up physician formula make up and I saw 6$ signs off the powders they rang from 10.99 to 14.99. The 10.99 rang up $4.99 with the $5. Coupon FREE
I also went tonight to do the PF deal and bought the SPF 50 powder and it came up on sale, used the $5/1 coupon and got back the $7 RR!! I was happily surprised because my CVS did not have any signs up.
Do you know if there is a limit on the Physician’s Formula makeup items that give you the $7. ECBs. On my receipt at the bottom it said This week’s extra buck offers. it said Phys Formual offer limit reached. Is the limit for each week, has anyone done it more than once with the same card? thanks
My store ads were up at 4.00 pm not 24 hour store as of Dec last year. Miss that is when I liked to shop.
My coupon machine gave me $3 off any Almay product yesterday. Glad I saved it to pair up for these deals.
I got the $3 off Almay printout yesterday too. That makes this a GREAT deal!
I’m a little new at this and am wondering if you have to buy the items all at once to get the ECB. like for the PG deal could I separate the items in different transactions and once I hit $30 I’ll get the $10 ECB or would I have to buy the $30 all at once?
Cp,
as long as it is within that sale week, it will work for you. In fact, if you look at the bottom of your receipt, it will tell you the current deals and what you still need to purchase in order to get your ECB.
Thank you!!:)
This is a great thing about the loyalty card – you can get them at diff times and/or stores and it keeps track!
I haven’t seen anyone mention this but the Kroger my magazine mailer has a 1.00 off on the Right Guard Body Wash.
is the $2 COMPLETE coupon going to scan? it looks weird. weird barcode.
NO, it won’t scan, I used it on accident at Rite aid earlier this year, then realized it was only good in CANADA…..=(
I thought the same thing…I’m going to try it, but I’m also going to bring the coupon from the Sunday paper as back up!
lol! I didn’t know it was a Canadian coupon. I used this back in December 2010 when it was the $9.99 ECB deal, and the cashier just manually entered in the $2 coupon. So you might just want to try your luck?
Please don’t. It’s not ethical to use a coupon that you are aware it won’t work. That’s just bad couponing etiquette. =]
I agree Brianna. They won’t want to manually enter legit cpns if people are using ones that are not reimbursable.
Heads Up!!
The CVS Coupon machine printed out a B1G1 Ensure 4 pk coupon (max value $7.99)!
If you’re lucky enough to get this print out, they are on sale for $6.99 this week so if you happen to have the $3 off one coupon (or atleast the $2 off 1 in this week’s coupon insert) you can get (2) 4pks for $3.99-$4.99.
Also, my CVS had Boost High Protein drink (POWDER ONLY) on clearance (75%off)
for $2.37. I couldn’t find a coupon for the powder but still a great deal.
I have a question on Upromise eCoupons. I just linked my CVS card to Upromise and added the eCoupon for $0.50/2 Puffs tissues. Does the $0.50 take off during my actual in-store transaction? Or will the $0.50 just go straight to my Upromise account (meaning I won’t get the $0.50/2 automatically at check-out)?
Upromise eCoupons go into your Upromise account.
i don’t see the BOGO pro clinical in the ad? help!
The B1G1 Colgate Proclinical is on pg 10, lower right corner in my ad..HTH
hmmmm is there such thing as a regional deal? we didn’t get this deal, $2/5 colgate max clean is on page 10. crazy!
There’s a .50/1 puffs coupon available in the march issue of ebony!
My CVS # 1585 will not accept both coupons for the bogo toothpaste. They told me I could use only 1 coupon. I printed the policy and took it up there, but then they claimed it was at the managers discretion. Even using one coupon is a deal I will admit, but according to their own policy I should be able to use both coupons. The manager and the casier were not too happy that I questioned their..Customer Service Policies. Oh well.
Make sure and call corporate. The manager will have to fill out a report explaining why he refused you. They don’t like it when corporate comes calling. He may think twice next time.
I agree make sure you call or email corporate. It might seem like a hassle but in the long run it will educate them and make things easier for you in the future. Good luck!
Please call corporate. These stores that treat us as criminals for using coupons need to be dealt with. I spoke to corporate just this morning and was advised that their guidelines clearly states that you can use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.
Collin, we haven’t gotten our papers yet today so not sure about Covergirl b1g1 50%. Is that the same product that is good towards the p&g ecb deal for p&g products also??? Thought with the coupon that was in the preview for this weeks paper for 2.50/2 would make a decent deal but we don’t do cvs much so we don’t know how sales work. Does it include all covergirl in each of the p&g deal and the b1g1 50% off??? Thanks!!! I read through comments trying to see if anyone mentioned it and I didn’t see anything about it!!!
The buy 1 get 1 50% off CoverGirl Cosmetics excludes Lashblast Volume mascara.
I have a question. What happens if your OOP total is less than the ECB’s you’re using on that purchase? Does it print the remaining ECB’s out again on that receipt?
if your total is less than the ecbs you are paying with, you forfit the difference.
If your total due is $9.65, and you pay with a $10 ecb, you will just lose the other $.35.
A manager told me that your oop must be greater than the ECB. If you use that ECB still, you will lose the remainder at my CVS.
They can void out coupons. I’ve had them do this on a couple of transactions where my OOP was -$.34 or something. They just void out one of the ECBs that I just handed them, and they hand it back to me. 🙂 Some cashiers don’t know how to do this, but it can be done.
GREAT matchups this week!
Thanks for all that you do!
Trish
on the mars 2 for 1 deal, i’m reading the fine print on the coupon on the various sizes, but none matches the ad. Has anyone gotten the candies using the coupon from all you without any problem?
I went through like 5 different CVS stores and finally found the Snickers Eggs in the last store. The Snickers Eggs is listed on the long list of products in tiny fonts. I found them towards the bottom 1/4 on the list in the middle. The cashier didn’t let me use the coupon at first because the picture on the coupon shown large bagged items, and I promptly pointed to the Snickers Eggs on the list. She had no problem then.
I couldn’t read the fine print on the coupon so I tried it on a peanutbutter egg that was on sale 2/$1. It didn’t work. I don’t see anything else in the ad to use it on. I used it on the snickers eggs last week.
I went to cvs today and was able to get 8 snickers eggs for free with two $2/2 coupons!
I went to CVS and only bought the Gum flossers. There were hangers and other toy items suitable for Easter baskets that I got instead. I had a good week last week! I am looking for Easter items now.
I’m a little off-topic here, but I know my fellow hip-2-savers can help me out on this. If my husband has extra bucks that were generated by his card, am I able to use them for purchases with my own card? TIA!
No,
The ECB’s are assigned to your card only.
I tried that and it will not go through. You have to use your card with your ownextra bucks. My name and my dh’s name is printed on all extra bucks so its easy for me to tell which one is which.
Thank you both. Definitely good to know.
You can also use (1) $2/1 Pantene out of Ebony, and (1) $1/conditioner when you buy shampoo {found in P&G Everyday Savings}(Will be shampoo and conditioner for $1.97 after ECB’s.
Can you use two $3/1 on the nature made vitamins? Does CVS let you use two coupons on a B1G1 deal?
i had two $5 off coupons and used them at my CVS on the nature made …paid $0 🙂
You can also use Listerine coupon $1 off available on https://www.valuesforhealth.com…Its a johnson and johnson’s coupon site.
FYI the magic coupon machine prints a “buy 1 get 1 free” coupon on Ensure 4-packs. So I will be getting two 4-packs for $1.50 each! (two packs for $6.99 because BOGO free, minus two $2 coupons in this Sunday’s paper = $3 final total). The $3 coupon linked above is only for the High Protein variety so they can’t be used. Got me excited for a moment. 🙁
Cannot find the $2 oral b manual toothbrush coupon. There’s one $2 cpn if you buy 2 but then i can’t use my bogo. was this regional? Or, am i misreading the $2 coupon???
Cannot find the $2 oral b manual toothbrush coupon. There’s one $2 cpn if you buy 2 but then i can’t use my bogo. was this regional? Or, am i misreading the $2 coupon???
darnit i found that coupon last night i just assumed that was the one she was talking about it didnt even register that i couldnt use it together with the bygo coupon 🙁 that stinks
hey guys! if your region didnt get the $1off coupon for the complete multi purpose solution you’ll get an even sweeter deal by going to their website and printing out a $2 coupon making it a $2 moneymaker! here is the link
https://completecomfort.ca/register.php
just fill out your name and email address to access the coupon! Happy shopping yall!
the coupon is for 360ml or larger size. the one in the add is 355ml. Sorry!
wow really? I used that coupon with no problem today. in all honesty didn’t even read if it had a size restriction because I thought they all come in that size (large size). don’t use it myself but got it to give away some free necessity to someone who uses it. thanks though!
there is a .75/1 coupon for the gum eez-thru flossers at gumbrand.com
Just wondering…. I just printed off the coupon for $3.00 off a 4 pack of Ensure. The post says that it is $2.66 per 6 pack. But, I think it should say “$2.66 per 4 pack”. Right?
Nature Made Vitamins: Money Maker (I think!)
In the Feb. issue of All You – there are TWO $3 coupons – one is for Vitamin D and the other is any. I plan to try and use them both on the Vitamin D.
Anyone else done this?
Thanks!
