Thanks for letting us know about this one! Just ordered it!

  2. Amy

Ive used many straighteners and ordered this one the last time it went down in price and I was NOT impressed. I actually hate using it. It doesn’t get as hot as they say and it snags my hair really bad. So just remember, you get what you pay for :/

Thanks for posting your experience with this…..I was thinking about buying it but think I’ll pass now.

    • Kristi G.

I feel the same way…except sometimes it gets very hot. It burned my daughter’s hair, and it does catch/snag your hair.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Yes,i agree. I ordered mine the last time they had the offer and i returned it. It’s not CHI,so you don’t get that quality. I was pretty upset the last time, they make it sound like it’s CHI,so you think you’are getting a good deal, you not.

i bought one as well.. and i never use it on the all the way hot setting (as mine gets far too hot, so I never had a problem with that) also it has never snagged my hair, so maybe it depends on what kind of hair you have. Overall for this price I think it was a quality iron!

    • Dorothy

I ordered this iron the last time Collin posted a deal. I am very happy with mine! Mine gets super hot (I don’t even put it on the highest setting either), and it never snags my hair (my hair is frizzy and curly). It leaves my hair straight and soft. I love it!

    • Krystal

I was about to get it too until I read your review and there were a few others like yours too…I’m just fine with my $30 Remington. 🙂

  3. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I ordered one last time and love it! I just had a flat iron from Target before so I thought $20 more for a nice one was worth a try and it was! I have really curly hard to straighten hair and this works great! Glad I bought it!!!

If you have a Marshall’s or T.J. Maxx in your area they usually have GREAT deals on hair straighteners and blow dryers! I bought my Chi Iron a couple weeks ago for only $34.99, and it retails at about $150 everywhere else I’ve seen it. I absolutely LOVE it, the temp. is adjustable (goes up to 230 Celsius, which is about 446 Fahrenheit?), is super thin, and a little bit longer than most straighteners which cuts straightening time in half for me!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

what a great find. i never see that in my stores

I dont care for the Chi I own it and I am excited to try this new one. Thanks for posting the deal and it is cheaper than last time!

    • Michelle

I actually looove my CHI. Maybe I am just lucky with mine lasting but I have had it for like 6-7 years and it still works as good as new!! 🙂

      • Victoria McGovern

I have had mine for like 5 years. It’s the red one… Maybe you got yours right before they sold the company?

        • Michelle

Oh, I didnt know they sold the company… ya mine is the old black one. (the thinnest one they make… maybe approx 1.5 inch iron size). I hope it continues to work so well, but at least after 6-7 yrs and still going strong, I can safely say I got my moneys worth!! (Well, my sis did… she bought it for me for a Christmas gift). 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You might have a counterfeit chi bc the authentic ones are awesome.

  7. lena

  8. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

  9. Laura

Got this one last time, and love it!

  10. nicole

shoot! i had it in my cart and was checking out and then it came up and said they were unavailable! i wasn’t sure about spending that much $ anyways so i guess it wasn’t meant to be!

  11. carrie

DARN! its too late…it comes up as unavailable.

  12. Brenda

I have had 2 Chi’s that I bought both from JC Penny and both have quit working within 1 year, Not sold on Chi anymore!

    • Kristen

I bought my Chi from Pennys 3 years ago and it still works perfectly. My sister also got one from Pennys and no problems with hers either. I guess it’s a hit or miss thing.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My beautician told me that CHI has a policy you can send your old broken one in and for a fee (like $30) they’ll send you a brand new one. You might check into that. It would be a good deal to get a new one.

  13. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Just got one for $49.99 from a different seller on Amazon. Still free shipping.

I personally got something similar to the Conair CS32 Infiniti (except it had a sapphire blue ceramic plating) when it was on clearance several years ago @ Target for about $17.99. It’s a great straightener, it leaves my hair flat and it gets hot enough for my hair without overheating. <3 For the price, it sure beat all of my other hair straighteners I got.

    PS:
Word of advice: NEVER buy Helen of Troy hair straighteners if you're looking for a hair straightener that lasts. My sister, for whatever reasons, is brand loyal to that brand even though she had to replace 3 straighteners in 5 years. I think it's crap but she likes it just because her friends "love' it. Sad, really.

  16. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    It’s no longer availible

  17. Ashley

i got mine at walmart a few years years ago for like 20 dollars…i don’t even know what brand it is lol (besides some no name) but it works really well and still doing good! It’s like a baby blue and has like a one inch plate, i like it alot 😀

  18. Jennifer M.

Since I had Amazon credits from Swagbucks & other surveys I went ahead & got it because the latest CHI Turbo I bought – I hate!! I need to try something else, and it was free for me. Fingers crossed!!

  19. corrine

I bought this the last time it went on sale on Amazon and it is the BEST straightener I have EVER had!! I have tried at least 6 of them before this one and it gets super hot, makes my hair look GREAT! Super straight and it NEVER snags my hair like my old cheapy ones. i have recommended this one to ALL my friends and family 🙂
