Out of content but I had a question some of you may be able to answer. Its in regards to stores that double and triple coupons. Out on the west coast none of our stores do this. how do the stores get their money back? Do the manufacturers give them double and triple? How can we get our stores to do this?

      • emma

They dont get the money back… its an incentive to get you to shop at their store… that’s why it doesnt make any sense why some manufactures put “do not double” on their coupons… why do they care?

      • Diane O

I’m in california and I believe the only stores that might are Ralphs & Vons… I have seen Vons do it, I don’t shop very much for coupon groceries at either, so I haven’t exactly noticed the doubling except for one instance at Vons.

      • JesRi26

Ralph’s and Vons definitely doubles. I noticed with Vons that they will only double one of any like coupon you have. Still a great incentive!

        • Jennifer

I have a Dillons store (Kroger affiliate) and they double up to 1.00…and there’s no limit on how many “like”coupons! I’ve used up to 30 of the same coupons in one transaction!! Pretty nice!!

  7. Brandi @ Must Love Coupons

AWESOME Collin! 🙂 thanks for Friday smiles !

  8. Sally

I hope that isn’t at my store. I am a pricing coordinator and it is easy to make this mistake. Now I will have to go in tomorrow and look at my signs to see if I screwed up.

  9. MJ

Love that it still says “quantity rights reserved”… they reserve the right to not give you the ZERO freebies you earned!

  10. lisa

    awesome!

  11. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Well, they can’t say it’s false advertising!!!!

  12. Jamie

they must not sell these much considering the sign and full shelf. ha ha

  13. Cheryl

  14. Linda

  15. Dawn

  17. Melany

    Buy 0 get 0 free …. well, ya … I guess that’s technically correct … but not much of a deal! 😉

  18. Autumn H

Well that’s one way to save money, if you don’t buy nuttin you don’t spend nuttin. funny pic though!

  19. jmartcougar

i have a question for you lovely ladies. I see at riteaid if I buy 20$ or more of the participating product i can get a 5$ +up reward. The participating products are B1G1 free this coming up week. My question is do i have to buy more that 20 even with the B1G1 or can I buy the 20$ worth with the B1G1 included? Scenario

Buy 4 palmolive dish soap 5.99=24.00(minus half because of B1G1)
    Use 2-1.00 off two coupons

Total is 10.00/ receive 5.00+up reward.

Would this be a correct scenario or does my total have to be over 20 even with the buy one get one. In this scenario my total only hits 12 because of B1G1.

    • melissa

The free one of the BOGO does not count towards your total. It comes up 0.00, so there is no price to count towards the deal, kwim?

      • yessah

ahh man that sucks!Ive got to find a way to find a good deal through this!

        • mira

yes the b1g1 free coupon should count toward the 20 dollars u have to have to get the up because technically the manufacturer is “paying” for the product. you know what would make your scenario sweeter? if you had a survey from your receipt they give you a 3 off of 15 purchase.

    • krista

If you have a bogo coupon then it counts toward your total, because both items ring up and then one is taken off with the coupon. If its a bogo SALE- then at Rite aid it doesn’t, because the second item rings up at $0. You can use a coupon for the free item though, so if you have 4 coupons you could use them all and if you have a $3/15 coupon that would help, also check the video values, sometimes theres just a $1 off anything in there- hope this helps!!

  28. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    That is Hilarious!

  29. Lilly

Ooooohhh…so OFF topic but I LOVE your icon ;)! That’s the best way you could describe a mother =)

  30. Sandi

Toooo Funnnnnnny! Oh, about the Rite-Aid BOGO sale. I would call and ask. That’s a good question. I frequent Rite-Aid but have never had that situation. I do know that they will take 2 coupons (one for each item) on a BOGO sale though. I think it would have to add up to $20 with the sale but not sure on this one.

You can still use coupons though and get the +up.

    Example:

you buy 6 shampoo’s and they total $20.00. You have $2.00 off coupons for each one. You would still be technically be paying $20 (even though your OOP is only $8.00). So you would still get the +up

  31. pbandjessie

    That’s too funny!

  32. Jo-Ann

So funny! Wonder if that sign will kill any sales of the items on those newly stocked shelves? 😉

  33. Reagan Collum

  38. sarab

I am new to couponing and have a question totally not related to this post but unsure where to ask it – in last weeks ad one of the coupon inserts had $2 off 2 sunchips then another coupon for a free sierra mist when you buy a sunchip can I use both of these coupons in one transaction – thanks for your help

    • Abigail

I was wondering the same thing….

      • krista

I don’t think so, the $2 off applys to the 2 you purchased and so they are “used up” so to speak. Which means you would need to buy a third to have it apply to the other coupon. Most of the time the only way you can double up coupons for a single item is if you have a store and a manufactures coupon (ie a riteaid & man) Hope that helps!

        • sarab

Thanks for the help – appreciate it

  39. Micki @coupon boot camp

That’s funny 🙂 My friend submitted it. The sign was still up when I went in today to that location ha ha ha
