CVS: FREE Scott Toilet Paper Single Rolls
Alright, so I have a rockin’ deal on Scott toilet paper to tell you all about… but before dishing, I want to quickly share how awesome my Facebook buddies are! 😀 You see, I was a little hesitant to post this deal due to the coupon stating “Not valid on trial size”. I wasn’t quite sure if a single roll was in fact trial size, so I opened this question up to my fans and got a plethora of answers – all basically concluding the same thing – a single roll of toilet paper is in fact not trial size.
Here are some of the answers I received:
I say a trial size is a little roll that’s the size of a toilet paper cardboard holder-thing. (technical term) I think Charmin comes in this size if you know what I mean.
Single roll is not trial. Trial is VERY small, in travel section to take with you in your purse.
They make tiny rolls and sell in the trial size section… they are not a full size roll, maybe like an 1/8th of a roll… I take them camping when I go.
I say no, a single roll is not trial size. Trial size is a small amount of a product given or bought to see if you like it before you purchase an entire package. Considering most drug stores sell single rolls in the toilet paper isle and NOT in the travel section.

I got it in West Virginia! Only after an apprehensive cashier had to ask the manager who then tried to tell me it’s only redeemable at dollar general. I politely told her no, it does not say ONLY redeemable at dollar general and that it is a manufacturer’s coupon as it begins with 5. I got 5 free rolls of toilet paper and it made the deal even sweeter is that I got my $5.00 ECB for reaching $50 in the beauty club ^_^

I’m in Michigan and I didn’t get this coupon. I got coupons for Scotts but they specify how many rolls the coupon is for and the smallest is 4 rolls. 🙁

I’m confused, I thought the $1 off Q was only good at Dollar General (says Redeemable at DG on it) can you use it at other places?
It doesn’t say “redeemable *only* at Dollar General.”
Some cashiers might question it, but there’s a difference between the wording of “redeemable at” vs. “redeemable only at.”
I went to my commissary today and they had scott single rolls for $0.69 each! I made money!!
Went to CVS and got 10 rolls free using the coupons.
The cashier said she wouldn’t see why it shouldn’t work… She scanned it and it worked with no problems! Thanks for posting the deal!
So this is all to save 39 cents? And also, it’s one roll, I mean you need a separate paper for each roll. Not sure why people are excited about this.
Want to hear something really good? Jewel (grocery store in Chicago) ran an unannounced deal where you buy 1 paper towel and 1 toilet paper, and you get $2 off your next order. And it worked on the single rolls, both of which were on sale for $1. So with no coupon, I paid tax on single rolls of PT and TP. I got about 50 of each. Now that’s savings.
BTW, no offense to hip2save, it’s great for pointing this out, but I’m mainly looking at the comments, one of which said they’re almost out of TP. Yes, and after this deal you’ll need more in less than a week, unless you bought like 20+ papers I suppose, which I don’t do.

I think buying 50 of 1 item is excessive. It’s great to be able to save but it’s not nice to buy so much that others can’t save money too. And I think it’s awesome if you saved on 1 roll or 10 rolls. .39 cents is .39 cents more than what you would of had. You should all be excite to save anything!

We all have a personal view and that is what makes us America. Hopefully no one gets “caught up” in all the excitement to save, but I know I do and it’s not a bad thing that someone points that out sometimes!?
Thanks for heads up I scored a couple today. Also wanted to let Ya’ll know the coupon machine gave me a $2/2 Pantien today wich I combined with the $3/2 coupon with 2 EBC I only paid .39 for both bottles.

The cashier let me use mine this morning and I got 2. When she saw the Dollar General on it she said no but then agreed to try it. At the end of the transaction she said, “I did have to override it for you.” and seemed a little cranky. Oh well, I was her first customer of the day and she is probably thinking word is out on Hip2Save and I’ll be scanning these TP q’s and overriding all day!!! LOL
I got 5 for $5 and used 5 of the $1/1 DG coupons. It clearly state MFG coupon. So they were usuable. No override required at my cvs. yay 🙂
I called the closest CVS to me and spoke to the Manager. He said it was weird the it it says Redeemable at DG and he wasn’t sure so to just go in and if the cashier gave me a hard time about it to go ahead and tell them to page him! Yay cheap TP!
Got the coupons. Live in Georgia. Went to CVS and they only had 2 rolls, but got them. Went to another CVS this morning and they said they wouldn’t take them as they don’t accept coupons that specify another store on them, which these do say Dollar General, but I also pointed out they had manufacturer on them. The lady said it didn’t matter, because it did say Dollar General. What a bummer 🙂 Think I will contact corporate to see what they say.
Update. I just called CVS’s corporate office. They said CVS should not be taking these coupons, as they don’t accept coupons with “redeem at Dollar General” even if it has manufacturer coupon. Thought I was going to get a great deal today. Oh well.
I am very disappointed! I have several of these coupons and was really exciting about buying the toilet paper at my local CVS. Well…..I was not allowed to use the coupons because it has the “Dollar General” name on it. I even made the case that it does not say “…only at…” but the store manager was not agreeing. He said store policy will not allow him to take them. Boo Hoo! Very unhappy shopper!

I had several of the smaller Scott $1 off four or $1 off 6 and $1 off 8 rolls coupons, My CVS had the rolls on sale for $1.49 bogo, I got 12 rolls for for $4.00. Super deal. Loved it!
Where would i be able to get this deal?? I have called several dollar generals in my area and all say they don’t have the single rolls available! Or how often those this deal happen at CVS??
Rite aid had scott single rolls this week for bogo I used dollar general q for 40 rolls wohooo!!!
