It’s back! This same Groupon was available back in May and sold out rather quickly. If you are looking to take a vacation on the cheap, then this may be the offer for you! For a very limited time, you can head over to Groupon and snatch up a 7 night resort stay at any of World Resorts International 500+ participating resorts for just $399 (a $1500 value!). Choose a resort in the United States, Canada or even Mexico. Although there are over 5,000 resorts in the World Resorts International network, only approximately 500 resorts are participating in this Groupon. Keep in mind that there is absolutely no “timeshare” pitch/sales presentation involved and there will be no additional fees, taxes, etc. Depending upon the particular occupancy for the participating resort you’ve selected, each room is unique and may allow anything from 2-8 people (the resort fee is a flat fee, not per person fee).

Fine Print: Expires in 1 year; Limit 1 per person; Limit 1 per visit; All taxes, gratuities, and fees are covered with the cost of the Groupon for stays in the continental United States; additional taxes may apply in Mexico and Hawaii; Room reservations can be made starting 60 days from the travel date, and must be reserved before the Groupon expiration; Once the Groupon for this Resort Stay is purchased, a redemption phone number and email address will be provided to you.

Has anyone had experience with this Co?
If so, where did you stay and how nice was the resort? Would you rate it 4 star, 3, etc?
We’re planning a trip next yr to one of the islands-prob Maui, so any help would be great!

I was curious too. I’ve always had success with Groupon, but spending $25 for $50 mani/pedi is a bit different than spending $399. Not as concerned about it being a nice, clean, friendly resort (I check trip advisor for stuff like that ahead of time) as much as I’m concerned about difficulty with reservations, sales pitches (even though it says no sales pitches) and finding good dates.

My family is a member and we’ve stayed in wonderful resorts in Vegas, Germany & Spain.

I would love to hear from anyone who previously bought and used this. Does everyone planning on going need to buy this or can two people go when only one is purchased?

    • Ashley

They way it reads it is per room – not per. It is a flat rate!

      • Jen

Looking at the available resorts, there are dates listed. Are those the only dates you can travel to that specific location?

        • Jen

Duh – I just saw that you can change the dates. It’s too early for me to be thinking correctly! 🙂

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

You pay for a room, and it depends on the resort how many people can acommodate, if it is one room will be 2 to 4 people, and 2 rooms for 4 to 8 people, good thing is you chosse the resort depending on your needs, Mexico even has resorts with all included (food).I own a timeshare and is how it works.

    • Cathy DeGruchy

When you purchase the deal you can take sometimes up to 6 to 8 people it depends on where you book and the type of vacation you book. My husband and I went in Jan.2012 to Florida and we had room to sleep 8 people but there wasn’t anyone else that wanted to go with us, so there were two beautiful empty rooms plus a pull out couch and than our queen size suite we had. What a shame but we enjoyed it ourselves and wanted to get away, but the part is they ask you if you want to give them 20.00 and show up the next day and you’ll get your 20.00 back, if you watch information on becoming a holder of buying into TIME SHARE …..we went for the info. It was just way too expensive to purchase for ourselves so we said no. It did not affect our holiday at all. Also If you check out 1 minute late , you are charged for the day. BUT IT WAS NOT A NECESSITY that we had to attend the time share meeting. Right now I am having trouble with this same group I bought my trip from back in 2011, now you pay the 399.99 and than they have an upgrade fee for you to pay. I am waiting for them to revise this , I hope it isn’t too late for yourself , but I bought the pkg for 399.99 and that is what I expect to pay for my holiday.
      Good Luck

I was trying to search and I couldn’t find much. I was wondering if Sandals In Jamaica was included in this deal?

  4. Laura

I LOVE resorts! I wish we had time for a 7 night vacation (I’ve never in my life been on a 7 night vacation lol)

    • autum

Same here and now that we have chickens, cats, and a dog no one else can touch…

  5. Sally

It says you can book at any resort as long as it’s available….what happens if there is nothing available where you want it when you need it? Has anyone been on one of these vacations??

  6. Laura

Everything is mostly in Mexico and Hawaii

  7. SenoraE

I am too much of a planner… I am not sure we could get decent flights if we only planned 2 months ahead. sigh. Wish I was more spontaneous!

  8. Paige

If I’m doing this right, there aren’t many dates available. Bummer.

    • D

I’m guessing (COMPLETELY guessing) that they only release dates a few months in advance.

  9. Jessica F

If I read correctly, they only book in advance the next 90 days, which makes September the last of the 90 days. So if you wait another month or half a year, more dates/places will become available.

  10. Elizabeth

Can someone tell me what city this groupon is for? I can’t open the links here on my work PC, and I’m having trouble googling it. Thanks!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Seattle

      • Elizabeth

        Thanks!

  11. Krystle

The Groupon has a link to their Facebook page, people had good things to say on there about this company.

  12. Christy

I did notice that some of the resorts (within the US) are cheaper w/o the Groupon.

  13. Min

    Watch out!
Says good for 1 yr. but then says book in 90 days.
    Something is not right.

    • Kathi

I got to believe that means that you have 90 days to book it and 1 year to take the vacation. I’ve purchased things like this before, not through groupon or this company, but those are the rules I’ve previously had to follow. HTH

      • jennifer e

        here’s what the groupon says:

Room reservations can be made starting 60 days from the travel date, and must be reserved before the Groupon expiration.

so you have a year to book, but must book within 60 days of your desired stay.

  14. Dee

You are basically getting a room for $57 a night at a resort. You’ll have to come oop for airline tix, car rentals or cab fare, food, special events, etc. For a trip for two, this $399 could easily add up to $1500! I believe that we can get a better *package* deal with arranging this myself. I traveled to the bahamas for 4 nights for $449. Included room, air fare, food, 3 special events (I did the glass bottom boat tour, Pirate Party and Island Bonfire celebration) and all transportation. Now THAT was a fabulous deal!

    • jodi

where did you go through to get this deal hun, please share!

    • tenessaa

      do tell!!

    • jennifer e

i’m with them on this one… share please!

    • Tina Horn

would love to hear this answer too.

    • Michelle

      yes, Dee…please do tell us…

    • Alicia

Yes, please share? My daughter is coming up on 5 years Cancer Free and we are looking into taking a family trip as a celebration!! Thanks

    • kelsey

We travel to a resort about an hour away every year for Christmas and so if you have one close by, within driving distance you will not need to get airfare, etc!

      • Ashley

try going to cheapcaribbean.com they have amazing rates there! That is where my husband and I booked our college graduation trip and just recently our honeymoon there!

  15. Amanda

I purchased this last time…haven’t used it yet since we don’t plan to travel til next year but I have spoken with their customer service and everyone is super nice….I can’t wait too go. you can look at the actual hotel websites if you are worried about the hotel…and even if its only a 3 star….how much time do you actually fiends in your hotel when you are in paradise?:)

  16. K

The dates are very limited to me… I was looking for something along the beach in CA but they don’t have anything thats not 2 hours away! I wish this could’ve worked!

  17. Chaia

So…If I buy this right now, there are only dates through September. BUT, can I buy this right now and wait to book for a while? As in could I wait to book until December or is it I have to book within 90 days of buying it?

  18. Maegen

If anyone who already has a Groupon account (so Collin wont miss out on new member referral credit) is definitely planning to buy this and wants to help out a fellow Hip2Save reader, please email me (maegen.colehour@gmail(dot)com) so I can send you my referral link… I got a promotion invitation from Groupon so that if two people use my link after I purchase a deal during June (even if they’re already Groupon members), I get some Groupon credit! I would be so so so thankful to anyone willing to use my link!

  19. Julie

I bought this last time and here is what I know. You have a whole year to use it, but…here is the kicker…you cannot book anything until 60 days out. We were wanting to go on vacation in October so when I called they said that I could not book it until August. I am worried that where we want to go will be book up by August and we will not be able to go when we want to. But either way we can just use it another time within the next year. I am a planner and I am not happy that I won’t know until August IF I will even being going on vacation in October. The customer service it nice but unless you are planning on using this before the end of August don’t even bother calling. They won’t even talk to you unless you are booking a trip within the next 60 days. If you have a set vacation week, this would not be for you! Hope this helped!

  20. Ashleigh

I bought this last time and ended up cancelling it and getting a full refund. Here’s why … I bought it in May and wanted to use it this summer for a beach trip somewhere in the Carolinas/Florida. When I called the company to book they were very helpful but said that everywhere I was looking at was fully booked because, obviously, summer is the busiest time of the year for rentals. I called Groupon and explained this to them and the rep said that they “wouldn’t normally refund this type of deal” but he would do it for me because it was a large amount of money. SO … it is a great deal if you are flexible with your dates and destinations. Groupon did give me an immediate, full refund and I have never been unhappy with any of the deals I have got through Groupon. Hope this helps 🙂

    • Alicia

How did you cancel this? That is what I am planning to do too! Thanks

  21. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

This seems like a pretty good deal considering I just paid about $500 to stay in New Jersey for 4 days! I am almost tempted but like many others, I fear I would not be able to get flight arrangements, hotel accommodations and everything else like time off work etc.. lined up within 60 days notice!

  22. Cheryl Mortensen

This deal is gonzo now 🙁

  23. Kristi

It says its sold out 🙁
