Very cool! I got a free pastry or sweet to redeem by 8/30. I have several Panera gift cards that students gave me last year, this is a great time to use them.
I’ve been a member of this program for about a year now, and I love it! They just randomly load rewards every so often – no points to keep up with or anything 🙂
I’ve had my card for a couple months and I love it. I just got a free pastry from my visit there the other night. And the rewards are just randomly added so there are no points to worry about and you always have 60 days to use them before they expire.
The Panera card is GREAT! I regularly get iced coffee at the one near my office ($2.30 for a 32 ounce iced coffee!) and earn little treats all the time– free pastries, free bowl of soup, free drinks, etc.

I love my card. I have a reward on there about every other time we go, and we go at least twice a month! It is totally worth it!

Does this work like a credit card that stores have (JCPenney, Old navy,Kohl’s, etc.)?
No! It does not charge anything to your card. It is simply a rewards card. You would still pay however way you’d usually pay. The cashier would just swipe the MyPanera Card before they ring out your order and then you would still pay with cash or credit.

Me and my husband love Panera. In just a few months we got several rewards: free soup, free drink, free pastry, $1 off a drink. I love their bear claw, the coffee cake (mmmmm), the tomato soup in a bread bowl and the new steak panini (de-li-cio-us!!)

Just wait – I’m sure you’ll get one at some point! They also give you a treat for your birthday. So far I’ve gotten a pastry for signing up, a pastry for my birthday, a free smoothie or coffee drink, plus the last time I used mine my receipt showed another free coffee or smoothie. I love Panera and would eat there every day if I could afford the $$$ and the calories. 😉

how does this works? do i just show the card to the counter whenever i go to claim the free reward? How do i know what reward i have and where/how to check?

Yes, you give them your card to swipe when you pay. Your reward will show up on your receipt and they can also see what’s on your card at the register. You can also check your account online and it will show up there. HTHs!

so i just order as per normal….but got to show the penera reward card (just like we use the cvs extracare card) and then when the receipt printed out with the reward item, i just need to go to the station (like bread or cafe) to claim the item…right? 🙂
Sort of but not really… The best way to do it is if you hand them the my panera card, then they swipe it and tell you if there’s anything on it before you order, that way you can use it for that order if you want. 🙂 They’ll say something like, “You have a free pastry, would you like to get that today?” and you say yes or no, and place the rest of your order.
If they swipe it at the end, they may say, you have a free soup for next time, but you might have gotten it today if you had known, kwim?
I love the card, just because I don’t have to give my name, it pulls it from it lol. I usually have to give the reward away to a family member because it’ll be a pastry/smoothie/etc but last time they gave me a free bowl of soup. Love their soup.
i think one of these is opening up a block from my house! 🙂

I don’t know if it is just random, or if your freebie is affected by your preferences, but I picked “low-fat” as my dietary concern and received a smoothie/espresso coupon. My boyfriend didn’t have any preferences, and he received a pastry.
After filling out the form, I wonder what kind of birthday reward Panera offers?

I’ve had this card for awhile and while we probably eat there 1-2 times a month and received about 4 free items and have 1 on my card right now! If you haven’t been before, it’s very good. I love their wild chicken and rice soup and iced green tea!

This is the coolest card. Last week when I went to Panera (and I don’t frequent the place often) I had a free pastry and a free YOU PICK 2 waiting for me. I redeemed the pastry but am waiting for a “special occasion” maybe a date with my husband to redeem the meal entree.

I work at Panera and it is so wonderful to hear so many positive comments on our reward system! Knowing the ins and outs of the card, I can honestly say that it is such a wonderful way to give back to our customers. The Panera Bread motto is “a loaf of bread in every arm” and this card is such a great way to do this!
