I have received so many emails from readers today about their awesome clearance finds at Target that I thought it only appropriate to share their great finds with you! I’ve heard word from more than a handful of you that Target has started marking down their toys 75%! Plus, I’ve gotten additional emails regarding lots of other Target clearance finds from baby products to outdoor items… and more! This is definitely the time to start shopping for Christmas again… buy it now and stash it away! Never pay retail for presents again! 😀

Check out some readers’ pictures and emails below…

I am so excited to report that my local Target store marked down a ton of toys in their toy dept. to 75% off today. I’ve been checking the past few weeks and today is the day! Yay!! I got all these toys for $98.08 before tax which would have normally cost $413.04!!! So that’s a savings of $314.96. And to sweeten this sale further….that Star Wars Boba Fett Electronic helmet which is normally $34.99 and was on sale for $8.74 with a $5 off peelie on it!!! So I only paid $3.74!! Basically I’ve got most of my Christmas shopping done and tons to put in my gift closet. Yay!!

I hit the jackpot today. I went into our Target and they were in the process of marking everything down to 75%. She said they were doing it a day early. I stopped at one more on the way home and she said they were doing their clearance pricing early as well. My total would have been 578.96, but I paid $144.74. (Thanks, Definitely Deals!)

Found an Evenflo Triumph Advance 65 convertible car seat clearance at Target for $37 and change. Retails for $149.99!! Good reviews, too. Also saw Britax Roundabout convertible and Graco Booster seats on clearance, but didn’t see the price. I live in NE Ohio.

Just wanted to let you know of the AWESOME finds I got at our local Target this morning. I found 2 Graco car seat bases on clearance for $9.26 each, down from $36.99 and a Graco frame stroller for a car seat for only $15.26 down from $69.99! After using my Target card, I only paid $33.85 for the 3 items!! These will make some expecting friends quite happy! Also, some of their Circo brand kids clothes were 70% off, so I picked up a couple of cotton t\’s and shorts for $1.35 each as well as a polo shirt for $2.10. Not to shabby today!! I’m just waiting for our toy section to be marked down to 75%, it’s still at 30%.

Now it’s YOUR turn… what clearance treasures have you scored at Target?! Let us know!

Just a little FYI for those buying clearance carseats/boosters/bases etc. These items do have an expiration date. I’m doubtful that any left in a store would be near the date, but it couldn’t hurt to look. As the plastic ages it can weaken and not hold up in a crash. I never would have known this until I started working at a permanent fitting station. I know the dates are on the seats themselves and am assuming they would also be somewhere on the outside of the box.

    • MommySpendsLess

To add detail to the other post, most car seats expire 6-7 years after they’re manufactured.

Buying a clearanced one is probably only an issue if you’re hoping to hang onto it for multiple children because even if it only has 4-5 years left on it, your child will probably outgrow it before it expires.

  2. Annette

Sherwood was still at 50% off today (Wednesday). I will be checking again tomorrow, hopefully it’s the day it will drop!

    • Sarah

Just curious, what state are you from?

  3. laura

MOST target stores mark down toys on Thursdays. They follow a markdown schedule and don’t deviate much.

    Traditional Department Mark Down Schedule

Monday – Electronics, Kids’ Clothing, Stationery, Cards, Gift wrap, Baby
Tuesday – Domestics, Women’s Clothing, Pets, Market Pantry
Wednesday – Men’s Clothing, Health and Beauty, Lawn & Garden
Thursday – Housewares, Lingerie, Shoes, Sporting Goods, Movies, Music, Books, Decor, Luggage, Toys
Friday – Automotive, Cosmetics, Hardware, Jewelry

If you aren’t there WHEN they mark down toys (at least around here) you ain’t gettin nothing. Also I have never seen toys go 90% off. Typically only holiday clearance goes 90% off.

    • Jen

do they do the markdowns in the morning or when are they done?

  4. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

OMG I’m so excited. I got a Graco 3 in 1 carseat with amazing reviews for $77 (original $179), got 2 Halo sleepsacks (small and medium) for $4 each, cute outfit for $1.29, fisher price jumperoo for $44 (down from $99). All items except for the outfit were on my shopping list, so I’m super excited!!!!

  5. Tracy Rearick

Does anyone know if any south jersey stores have the toys or baby things on clearance? Thanks in advance!!

  6. Alea

Those are some great deals on the baby stuff – not so impressed with those toys. I think too many toys are cheaply made nowadays and break too quickly.

    • Erin

Yep–and the ones on clearance are often very gimmicky or dated/tied to a movie, so not great for gift closets unless they’ll be given quickly.

      • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

I actually saw a lot of great toys for imaginative play marked down, like the wooden pretend play sets (kitchen & other home stuff), as well as a lot of dress-up clearance, craft sets, and play-doh. Some of the movie stuff is still good for gift closets IMO, especially the Toy Story and Transformers toys, because most boys are interested in them for a while.

  7. Jodi

Our toys sections were mostly 50% with a few 75% and very picked over already. BUT, I did find some great deals on kids’ clothes at 75% and 50% off. I got a few shirts for the kids to start the school year with for $1.78 and $2.78! Woohoo! 🙂 Thanks, Collin!

  8. sringrose

Our toys were still at 30% off. 🙁 But there were a couple of things that I bought today at 30% off. There were only one or two of these items left, so they wouldn’t have been around long.

Thanks for the heads up. I’ll check back tomorrow or Thursday and see if the other things I was interested have been marked down.

  9. Karen

Checked out Target in Carmel, IN and toys were 30%-50% off. Did get a booster seat for $20.

    • Amanda

      Hi there,

I’m in Anderson. What street is the Carmel Target on that you are referring too?
      Thanks much!

      • Leslie

She might be talking about the target on Michigan road. That is considered Carmel, IN and I shop there all of the time.

        • Naomi

The Target on Michigan road had toys and games for 75% off. Don’t get tricked by aisle signs that state 30% off because if you look at the individual price tag many were marked at 75% off the original. Also be sure to go down each aisle because toys were marked with a subtle clearance sticker and were 75% off but were in their usual spot and not in the separate clearance aisle.

          • Brandy

I went to the one at Nora, IN today and they had 75% off although it was fairly picked over. There were a few items that I scanned that were more than what they had on the tag.

  10. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

My Target had them priced at 50% and 30%, BUT I price checked it and they rang up 75%. So everyone check the prices because maybe they are just not signed right.

  11. Paula

Target in South County (Lindbergh & 270) was 75% off toys today. Still a great selection of boys stuff after I saw Collin’s post this afternoon. That store usually does it before anyone else so I’ll be hitting another store first thing in the morning.

    • Paula

Sorry, forgot to mention it was St Louis, Missouri

      • sally

Any update on St Louis ( West County)?

  12. shirley

Does anyone know if the K-mart or Target in Branson Mo. are running these sales, they are the nearest to me?

  13. RH

Live in TX. Is it just me or are all of the toys water toys at your stores? Not even marked at 75% yet either.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

It seems since the water toys were more recently marked down, they’re only 30-50% off.

  14. linda

does anybody know if any of the stores in Michigan are marked down..i have a 2 and 4 yr old and its hard to take both boys without having to leave in the middle of shopping..thanks

    • Melissa

Where in Michigan are you at? I just went (last night) to the Target in Warren (12 and Dequindre). And their toys were still 30%-50%. I did get a Crayola Explosion for $4.77 (orig. $19.99) but that wasn’t in the toy department. Hope that help!

      • kim

Jenison MI had only no name nerf like guns in the 75% area. There were random things in the regular isles marked 70%

    • michelle

kalamazoo MI was marked down to 75% (although the signs said 50%) It was very picked over but still found some great deals- my daughters first bday is coming up so I was WAY excited to get some things for her, of course the 3 year old got the swim with me puppy shes been wanting 🙂 there was a lot of boys stuff left but i didnt check it out too much.

  15. Jen

Well went to the target in Puyallup-south hill and they are still 15%-50%. I called there first and an associate told me they had tons of 75% toys and so i went up there with kids in toy since the husband is working. I get up there an nothing so a manager apologized and gave me a $3 off coupon for any item in store (so gonna wait to use that when they do go down!!!)

I called the other Puyallup store and the associate there said to check tomorrow (she thinks they are going to 75% off then)

I have been stalking the stores for the Fisherprice Loving Family doll house for my 2.5 yr old. One of the associates tried to tell me that the items are only ever at 50% off for 5 days then go to 75% off….I told her that the doll house was at 50% for at least 2 wks now, and she was shocked, so hopefully it goes down tomorrow.

  16. footballchic73

I’d been watching ours, and it ALWAYS goes on Wednesdays for markdowns when it has any holiday relation…the toys are down to 75% because they are bringing in the new holiday stash. Anyhow, I was there this AM and they were just starting to mark down, so I went back a few hours later and got all the things I was waiting for-tons of awesome games(gotta love Uno games for $2.98!), fun puzzles, and loaded up with birthday presents for parties my daughter goes to. My son is too old for “toys”, but he still loves legos and I snagged them last week at 50% off which is RARE for legos. And top off the 75% savings with my debit card 5% savings 🙂

  17. Jessica

I live in Houston and I scored some great deals. I didnt know about it and headed their this afternoon after reading the comments without really expecting to find much. MOST of the items were in fact gone but they still had some goodies. I speant like $19 on 6 items that I would spent about $100. I got some legos for as cheap as $1. I am saving all this stuff for Xmas or to suprise my son every now and then. Totally totally worth it.

Also I got an iron patio table for only $15

  18. Erica

@Kristina I went to target on summit in Fontana and some of the stuff was marked down 75% but everything was sooo picked over and hardly anything left. The selection was better at the target on slover

  19. amy

went to my Target yesterday (Rochester) and they were clearing a couple aisles to make room to bring out more toys for 75% off! I’ll be heading there this morning. My mom went to her Target yesterday (Penfield) to see if they were at 75% off yet and when she asked someone about it they said there was no such sale and the only big sale was after the holidays. what? haha That’s the store that I shopped at last year. so I clearly won’t be going there! Wish me luck. The toy sale is exciting!!

    • Christa K.

I’m near Rochester & Penfield also. Would be interested to hear if their sales/clearance is worth the trip!

      • amy

Went to the Eastview store and ended up going to the Penfield store after all. Both were really disorganized and while there was one aisle that was 75% off, there were sale items scattered in all the other aisles too. And those items that you found would usually ring up less. Eastview had better stock of sale items. Penfield did not have much of anything.

  20. Melanie

I stopped by last night and all of the signs said 30% off but most scanned at 75% off and a few at 85% off!!! I only spent $75 and I have tons of gifts for b-day’s and Christmas.

  21. Laurenandbrian

Melanie: I will have to try that scanner thing! 🙂

  22. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Went this morning to the Front Royal, VA store. Most was 75% off, but some was only 50. I was the only person in the toy section shopping, which was nice 🙂 Got the Littlest Pet Shop toys and Tinkerbell toys that I wanted to get for my daughter for her birthday, plus a few randoms for friends birthday parties that may pop up throughout the year.

  23. Smile!

I love how it is like a big mystery and game as to when the Target is going to go 75% off! Went this AM to one Target – got a few cute things and spent $50 – there was a lot to choose from! So fun!! There were definitely SHOPPERS there specifically for the TOYS – so funny!!

  24. Kelly

Yay!! I got an intel 3in1 pool for $7.98 usually $39.00. My little one will love this on our hot, hot days here in FL.

  25. Danielle

Our store said that everyone is different, and they put their stuff on clearance almost a week ago and most of the stuff was already sold out! I was looking for a car seat. Went to 2 different stores, but found a Graco ComfortSprort for $38!! Regular price is $90. The pad is pink, my child is a boy, but for that price, I could even buy a new seat cover if I wanted to! Thanks!!

    • Lynn

WOW!! That was sooo much fun. I got a TON of stuff for $149; I’m going to go through it all this evening and add up the retail. The cashier and I were sad that register didn’t do it. My cart was seriously overflowing. Amazing.

  26. sue

I called a couple Targets in the Grand Rapids, MI area and they said the toys were 30%-50% off right now, but should go down to 75% off within the next week. I guess I’ll be calling every day to see when they change their prices.

  27. Julie

I went to target last week and bought stuff at 30% markdown. Thanks to hip2save comments, I learned (and the cashier verified this for me as I purchased it), they will readjust your prices up to two weeks after you bought it. I will go back (I’m currently out of town) and am excited to get to 75% markdown price now. Or I can always return it if it isn’t mark downed as much. I think this is a great idea if you’re waiting for this event but can’t make it to the store the day the prices are low!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

According to the Target website clearance merchandise is excluded from the PA policy so I’m wondering if your cashier was mistaken. I can see them doing a PA on regular items that go on sale in their circular. If they did PAs on clearance, people would buy it all up ahead of time & then go in for a PA so there wouldn’t be anything left once it did actually hit 75%.

      “Target Stores Price Adjustment Policy

      • If Target advertises a lower price either the same week or the week following your purchase, bring in your original sales receipt to Guest Services for an adjustment.

      • Exclusions: Price adjustments are not made for clearance prices or Target.com prices.”

    • nicole

I agree, you can not do it with clearance. I typically would search the isles, find the item i previously bought for 30% and rebuy it. Then take the receipt and item to CS to return with my old receipt.

  28. Jenn

Thanks for the info Tiffany, after I read your post went to target in las Vegas and they marked it 75% I knew I was in the right place the ladies were running to the toy department:) I spent 100.00 and got great stuff for Christmas. Thanks again

    • Tiffany

sure thing. i didn’t go til this morning… and you could def TELL… but they were still marking stuff down this morning too.

  29. angelina95

I got balls for my sons ball pit,a mega block set, a toy phone, a very hungry catapiller flash card set, Kung fu panda toy (his fave movie), and a pair of prego pants for 30 dollars. I am a very happy camper! Im gonna try and see what the other target store has later. thanks collin

  30. tillarham

well i spent too much at my first target as usual but my van is full of toys for 180. my favorite finds were 50 dollar thomas sets for 12 dollars, harry potter legos for 5 dollars, nerf type guns (but the other brand) for 2.48 and some board games. honestly 180 still seems high to me, but i really have a lot of stuff!

    • Mary

I got Legos on sale too.. .can you believe it! Harry Potter and Star Wars legos for 75% off… Crazy good sale!!!

  31. Julie

Thanks so much! I just went today and they were still marking it down. I got a bunch of toys for Christmas presents! What a deal! There were tons of people there too and we were all stocking up at those prices.

  32. Melissa

Went today to the Langhorne, PA store. I got a bunch of stuff! Definitely wasn’t picked over but i think they were in the process of marking everything down. I was walking around with my cart full and people were looking at me like i was crazy. I couldn’t believe i was the only one with a cart full of super cheap toys. I’m set for all my kids upcoming parties that they will be invited to.

  33. Collin (Mrs. Hip)

    No go in sacramento…still 30-50% off..booooo!!!!

    • Melinda

Which Sacramento stores did you go to? I went to West Sac, Riverside, 65th Ave and they were all 75% off Thursday morning.

  34. Lsia

Big thanks to the lady at the Cascade Station, OR Target who grabbed the last Little People Horse Trailer for me because we had talked outside Mall 205 (which did not mark down today). My daughter is currently in horsey bliss thanks to you.

  35. Sarah

LOTS of TOYS at Target in Orange and Anaheim Hills, CA this morning. I got some great items: Fisher Price garden cart, Step 2 Water Table, Huge water slide with pool, dolls, Thomas the Train items, a pop-up tent, doll accessories, two lap-tops and a Mobi-Go hand-held computer ALL for 75% off. There was so much left and NO ONE in the store to compete with. If you live in Orange County, CA go to these stores! Apparently people here don’t care as much as I do about saving a buck. More deals for me…and hoepfully some of you So Cal Hip 2 Savers! Good luck everyone!!!

    • Krista

I was at the Anaheim Hills store this am and there was only a hand full of people! I got a cart full, $360 worth of toys for $90. I am done christmas shopping for all of the kids!!

  36. Samibee

Was estatic to find Harry potter lego set at 5 dollars!

  37. christina

So with a receipt target will price adjust to the 75% off if I bought it for 30-50% off?

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

No, they don’t do PAs on clearance

  38. Julie

Here in Milwaukee, WI the store on 124th and Capital is at 75%. Just came back on my lunch hour run and scored the MUTHALOAD!!!!! Now I need to figure out how to keep the little munchkin out of the loot!

  39. kristina

Im northern cali. FF has stuff at 75% off and they said everything is out. Then VV said they are still putting out. My best finds was the midflex for 75% off at $17 and fancy nancy doll 75% off at $8. Great deals go get em!

  40. stacy

No, target does not price adjust on CLEARANCE! They will PA for weekly sale items but not clearance.

  41. Nikki

I figured everything would have been pretty picked over by the time I got to my Target today, but I scored a cartload of toys for $103!! A ton of Zhu Zhu Battle Armor for .98cents, and an attachment to the battle arena for $3.24! Transformers hot wheels race track for $6, Tonka Chuck and Friends playset for $6, Olivia playset for $2.48, Tron figures for $3, a bunch more toys, I can’t remember offhand, a few t-shirts for $1.12, jeans for my husband for $5. All in all, a great day of early Christmas shopping for me!! 🙂

    • Nikki

I just added up my retail and it would have been $305.61. But I only paid $103.56! That’s a savings of 66%!!! Woo Hoo!!! Most of the toys were 75%, some of the clothes were still at 30%. And some didn’t ring correctly at the register, so she had to key it in and they came up cheaper than what was on the tag!

  42. Jessie

Wow! I’m getting uber frustrated with my local Targets. I live in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area and all the Targets locally still only have the 30%-50% off sales going on. I’ve been in every day this week hoping to see some markdowns, but there is barely anything on sale. I’m wondering if they already had it and I missed it?!?!?! Ugh!! Anyone else having this issue?

    • Nikki

Price check on the scanners they have available. Sometimes the tag still says 30 or 50%, but they are actually cheaper when scanned. 🙂

      • Jessie

        That’s a great idea. I will give it a shot! 🙂

  43. CA

Went to Jefferson City, MO Target this morning. I was there at 8:10 and was glad I got there when I did. There were some there a few minutes earlier who already had their carts overflowing, so I missed out on a few Barbie things that looked interesting. Overall, pretty satisfied. Got the Fancy Nancy dolls for $8 each, an electronic drum set for $7, miscellaneous Moon Sand, Angelina Ballerina for $4, Evenflo booster seat for $29. The best thing was the fact that they seemed to purposely station employees in that area and they were being extremely helpful, asking if I needed help, etc. Good experience today!

  44. kristina

fyi on the top right of the price sticker there is a small number. it will say 30, 50 or 75. it will tell you fast what the percentage off it is. so you dont have to figure in your head. since everything is jumbled up. the manager of the toy dept. gave me the heads up on that one 🙂

  45. Cindy

I went a few hours ago and they were just marking the toys down. I got a ton of stuff for $75. I am very excited. This will help out alot for christmas. Thanks Collin and everyone else.

  46. Michelle

I was able to score 3 toddler girl bedding sets for $8.98 each!! These are reg. $29.99, so 70% off! I can barely buy a sheet set for my daughter’s bed for that price, let alone a whole bedding set! Also, I got a great laugh as I passed a little boy and his mom on the way out and he was asking her “Mommy, is this the 4th Target we’ve been to today?”. They must have been headed to the Toy dept. with everyone else!

  47. Trey J.

I went to Target here just looking for one thing, Green Lantern figures. They had one left and it was marked down to 3.98 so I bought it. They had a few other figures from Thor and other movies but a lot was gone by the time I got there. I may check my other Target tomorrow since last I heard they were still at 30%. Thanks for the heads up!

  48. Carrie

I did okay, but nothing was marked correctly and they only had one (!) price checker in the whole store that was functional. For about $70, I got a few Thomas Trackmaster things, a Take-And-Play Thomas set, the talking Boba Fett helmet, some castle LEGOs, two things of moon sand, a couple of the smaller Batman Trios, the Big Handy Manny construction playset, and a couple of other things I’ve forgotten already… I’m on Long Island, btw; this was the South Setauket store. As others have mentioned, the clearance was mixed in the shelves.

On another note, the K-Mart in Farmingdale, NY had an additional 50% off clearance. I got A LOT there 🙂

    • Cindy

      kmart in farmingdale?

      • Carrie

Sorry – meant Farmingville. Suffolk County.

  49. brittney

I love target toy markdowns, but when i went today, and a lady with 4 carts full of toys walks by me when im entering the aisle put a sad face on me. So i left with nothing 🙁

  50. tanya

spent 170 and got 680 worth of toys! I got tron, play vacuum, three vtech toys, tonka, green lantern, legos, iron man, board games, imaginext sets, rapunzel set, my little pony sets, hot wheels, wooden train sets, thomas the train sets, angelina balerina, and much more! Thanks colin for the head up!
