(Thanks, Amy!)

CVS has $7 Extrabucks on $10+ purchase of Physicians Formula makeup. I actually found my tinted moisturizer on clearance for $3 (normally $13!).
Is it only online or is it in stores as well?
Just on-line. Walgreens does not sell Physicians Formula in stores any more. That is probably why it is such a great deal on-line to get rid of the rest of it.
Where do you get the $7 off? The link just took me to the site with Physicians formula products. I sorted but can’t seem to find any link to a $7 coupon/discount, sorry 🙁
There’s no link to a coupon or code…the products are already showing up with the discount….
Thank you!
mine says in store only?
there are three rebates out for Physicians Formula make up. I will try to find them and give the links.

these only work if you have the products that have the try me free label on them.
And from what people posted in an earlier no one has gotten the rebate but the company claimed that they didn’t send in all the requirements even though they did. It sounds shady to me.
Well this is good to know. One of the ones I had the “try me free” sticker on it. I’ll let you know if I get the rebate. On a good note, I get $5 ECB from spending $50 in the CVS Beauty Club so at least I got something back from it.
Ok I have a question for the make up wearing ladies I have never worn anything past mascara and a bit of eyeliner at christmas. I’m a light redhead with white/pink skin. I’m 33 now and am getting a bit pink around the nose and chin. I wanted to try some makeup to cover the redness, and someone told me to try covergirl with the swirly white and cream in it. I put it on and it looks like my pores have become caverns and it makes my skin look like a desert. Do I need to use a “primer” or something? I poked around on smashbox and that seems like it might fit the bill, but I don’t want to wear warpaint – I just want to make a few areas “not so pink”. Any advice? I tried going to Macy’s make up counter and ended up with an entire mask on, there was a definite line around my face where the cover up (foundation?) ended and my real color started. It was embarrassing.
Physicians formula has a couple of things that work well to get conceal the redness. One is a pressed powder that is the green color corrector and the other is a liquid also in green (I haven’t tried the concealor sticks as I think they would be too thick). I have had good luck with these by putting on moisturizer first and then the makeup lightly in just the areas I want to cover and blending it in. I also have good luck with mineral powders applied lightly over the color correcting items to help blend it all. Other things I have tried look cakey, heavy and dry just like you have experienced.
I always use primer. Smashbox is great but philosophy makes a great one and you get more product for less money. It’s important to find products that aren’t so cakey and match your color. I use lorac concealer but it only comes in three shades and I have olive skin so I’m not too sure who makes a lighter concealer. I use to wear Clinique foundation since they make it in every color but I’ve fallen in love with Covergirl Natureluxe. It’s soft and thin and easy to get a smooth even finish. I would poke around sephora or ultra since they don’t have to be brand specific and aren’t trying to meet there quota. Hth!
I agree with Kathy about using a green concealer and setting with a powder. Skin with pink undertones is very tricky to find a foundation for that doesn’t look orange. My opinion is if you don’t need all over coverage, don’t put it on. I would try just using a green concealer and blend. No matter what concealer you try always use a concealer brush, never your fingers. Even if you get the stick kind, still use a concealer brush.
If you do wear foundation always use a primer, I prefer Smashbox to any other primer.
Emily, definitely get Bare Minerals! If you have a Bare Minerals store in your mall, go there. If not, go to their website. I definitely do not think you will be disappointed. Have you ever seen their infomercials? They use a fair-skinned redhead in one as an example. It’s the best. It’s the only thing I’ve used for the past 8 years. I like the more natural look where it doesn’t look like you’re wearing makeup at all, and this is it.
Oh, and just in case I wasn’t clear, Bare Minerals is a powder. Not to undermine everyone here, but applying a primer and then a liquid foundation and all that….is a lot of work. Plus if you ask me, it takes a bit of skill. Plus all those chemicals on your skin everyday….no thanks. =| You just brush Bare Minerals right on, it’s super easy.
I bought the Bare Minerals starter kit. I used it for a month and really liked it. But, after a month, I had a very bad reaction. My skin became very red and felt burned and I developed bumps. I did a little research online and found A LOT of people have had allergic reactions to Bare Minerals. It’s attributed to the bismuth oxychloride ingredient. It was very disappointing considering how much I paid for the kit and I had most of the product left. Just something to keep in mind, especially if you have sensitive skin.
When buying a concealer, it’s important to take your skin type into consideration. Do you have dry, normal or oily skin? A concealer for dry skin will dissolve on oily skin. A concealer for oily skin will cause dry skin to become tight and flaky. Be sure and buy a product which is formulated for your skin type.
Thanks for all the info! I have rather sensitive skin, and it’s pretty dry most of the time – I’m going to look at finding out what a concealer brush is and what green concealer is! I also have no clue what mineral powder is, but will definitely stop at Wags now to figure it out 😉 Thank you again for all the help, it feels silly to not know how to use makeup at my age, but I never needed it until now!
I really like the green concealer from ELF. It’s super cheap and the quality can be compared to smashbox. They have nice concealer brushes too for $2, you should check out their website.
I’m really fair and have the same redness around my nose and this is the first thing that actualy covers it up (I used bareminerals for 3 years and was resigned to the fact it wouldn’t cover those spots).
Good luck!
I can help you. Email me at melanie_odette at yahoo dot com or check out my site at http://www.jafra.com/modette 🙂
My CVS (NC) had lots of PF products with Try Me Free labels. I bought a concealer for $12, got $7 extra care bucks back, and I just submitted the rebate to get my $12 refund. That’s a $7 money maker + a product (which turned out to be really great). Be on the lookout for these specially marked packages (but remember, rebates are limited to one per product , and the CVS bucks also have a limit (I think it’s one $7 when you by $10 this time around)
I second the Physicians Formula green palette corrector.. I use that and then a skin tone palette on top.
It only pulls up 8 items and says in store only! 🙁 I love physicians choice! So bummed.
….I’m so cheap LOL
I pull up the page to look at the products, “Oh I love that! but hmm…$2.95….nah”
Me too, Karen! I like to pay under $1 for the drugstore brands.
I have used the Physician’s Formula pressed powder for a couple of years now, and I love how well it covers imperfections without adding to them. I bite the bullet and pay $14 or so at Target for it, so to get it here for less than $7 is wonderful. I ordered 4. Thank you for posting this!
woohoo! Just scored 2 of the yellow concealer sticks for $1 each! I’ve been using that for a while now and am almost at the end…was hoping I wouldn’t have to pay $6 for another one…this deal came just in time! Thank you!
I just bought some of the foundation at Wal Mart, you mean if it doesn’t say “Try Me Free” on the box I can’t get the rebate? I bought the correct item listed on the Rebate form. Guess I’ll return this item to WM especially if there is a chance they won’t honor their rebate even if I send it in exactly as they state on the form. I agree with Carol_R, that’s shady. I really would have liked to have tried this foundation, but not if I have to pay $14.00 just to try it.
thanks colin just got some man i missed this stuff since we stopped carryin it a while back and i work for wags so got my discount to yay thanks so much for this heads up
