I just took my first Disney Cruise with my mom ( we are kids at heart) to Alaska and it was amazing, the service was fabulous, the activities were fun and being adults we never had that “oh man somone shut this kid up” expereince. We liked it so much we booked our next cruise on the boat! It’s very true you get what you pay for. I’m also a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member and it is the best!

We just got off a Disney cruise yesterday! It was so much fun! The entertainment rocked! Even though the boat was full, it didn’t feel too crowded. Disney does a good job if spreading people out. We will definitely go again!

And if you’re planning a trip to a Disney Resort in the near future, be sure to check out this post (and the 200+ comments!) for some great savings tips.

As I mentioned in the cruise DVD post a few weeks ago (and left comments for those with questions), Disney is more expensive than most cruiselines but you get what you pay for! They were recently ranked #1 by CondeNast Travel. I have been on the Wonder, the Dream, and soon- the brand new Fantasy. Good luck getting your child out of the play areas on the Dream…the adults want the right to go in and play! LOL There is an amazing spa, two exclusive adult restaurants, a seperate spa/area/pool for teens, spaces for families, and spaces for adults. Castaway Cay now has cabanas for families to rent and there is a seperate adult beach (18 and over only) with cabanas also. Their service is top notch. We even witnessed the Captain of the ship asking to join a table for dinner. I needed help finding something when we got onboard and the Asst. Captain (title?) walked us right where we needed to go. Our server on the Wonder remembered us and found us on the Dream one year later just to say hello, and you can request previous servers for future cruises. Whether you have kids or not (I don’t, unless you count the 6 ft. husband), Disney is the best!
