Dollar General: 90% Off Easter Clearance = Items as Low as Only 10¢ (Stock Up for Next Year!)
Wow! If you’re looking to stock up on inexpensive Easter goodies for next year, you may want to swing by your local Dollar General store! Reader Miranda let me know that starting today 5/1, all Dollar General stores have reduced their Easter & select Spring items up to 90% off, making for some great deals!
Be sure to price check items even if the signs say only 70% off (like above) as the items should still ring up at the 90% off price. My sidekick Mary hopped on over to her local store in Austin, TX this morning and found lots of goodies for only 10¢ – 12¢ each, including card games, napkins, plates, candy, coloring books, Easter eggs, and LOTS more! Check out the goodies she was able to snatch up for only $0.78 below (including tax!):
Not too shabby! Come back and let us know what goodies you score!
(Thanks for the heads up, Miranda!)
Hi Collin, I had a question about preordering product from a store. Do you need to pay up front with coupons in hand or can you pay when you pick up the product? Thanks so much 🙂
Hi Anna, I think you would pay (and use your coupons) when the store got your product.
I don’t see how the store could justify your purchase with coupons if you don’t have your product.
okay thanks. hope i can place an order and get it before my coupons expire.
You’re welcome, Anna. Let them know you have coupons and when they are going to expire, and maybe they can put a rush on it – worth a try 🙂
Wonder how long candy will last (and I dont mean because my husband will eat it!!).
I think candy and chocolate are good for up to a year, just keep in a cool, dry place.
i store chocolate in my freezer and am still working on some Halloween candy that is fine.
I love dollar general!!!
oh yeah don’t forget about FRIDAYS $5 OFF $25 This week it is on Friday not Saturday!!
Yup. Discovered this last week. I’m on the VBS committee this year and I stocked up on the whirly pops. (the large, flat, tie-dye looking lollipops) .10 a piece. We’re going to put them on our prize table (Kids get to “purchase” with tickets different prizes for bringing a friend, your Bible, memory verses, etc.) I got 3 doz. for less than 4 dollars. Oh, and these look nothing like Easter. They are yellow, orange, blue and green and nothing Easter on the wrapper either, so you could also use them for Birthday parties, etc.
Thanks for mentioning that they are non-Easter-y looking. Daughter has a birthday coming up!
Just make sure to check them really good. I was at 2 stores and the first one, I just took the what they had and didn’t check them. (they were fine) But at the second store, I noticed that about half of them were broke. I looked over them really carefully, because the last thing I need is a bunch of kids crying cuz their lollipop is broke 🙂
I am hoping there are some toy filled baskets left. I plan on using the toys for my granddaughter’s upcoming birthday party favors.
No stores in my area…sad! 🙁
Spent 5 bucks and I have next years baskets filled and christmas stockings for this year filled. Can’t beat it.
I scored 3 boxes of Peeps, 3 Liquid Jelly Bean candys with fingerpuppet, 12 Russell Stover Marshmallow Egg and a tube of bubbles for $1.37.
Thanks Collin. I got a ton of 3″ suckers for 5 cents each for our school’s carnival on Friday!!
Scored 31 bags of candy, 12 coloring books, 2 baskets with goodies, lots of suckers and jelly beans and gummy candies, even some chocolate… All for 9 dollars! This will be great for VBS and stockings this year. 🙂
wow they do it so late
I wish our stores had more selection! I got cotton candy, tootsie rolls, and sticks for $.10 each, a cute decorative rabbit for $.35, and an easter basket for $.75. Other than that though, there was only the really crummy tasting chocolate. It’s crazy how they can get wiped out so quickly even in a small town!
Okay…we rushed down to the Dollar General and scored some candy deals as low as $.05 cents each. A whole bag of stuff for under $2.00 The selection at our store was quite limited though. But we did also score a $5.00 off a $25.00 purchase coupon on the register receipt on May 4th.
