I am having the same problem as well. The form briefly appears and then I get the same message once the page finishes loading. Never had an issue with previous promotions. I just got my Fiber One Lemon Bar sample yesterday.

It’s strange too, when I click to view the privacy policy or the official rules on the left it comes up blank! Weird. I’ve even tried turning off my add blocker and still nothing. I’ve been a member for years so this is very strange.

Glad I checked the comments here, I was wondering why it wouldn’t let me participate. I guess we are all getting the same message.
I’ve tried refreshing and I’ve tried logging out and logging back in and I’ve tried different browsers. Still get the “not able to participate” message. 🙁
Ladies, it seems like a lot of companies are asking you to “like” them on Facebook or sign up for the newsletter etc and then no sample. I think its a marketing ploy to get emails that they can sell for money…I think we need to stop being so naive.
I can’t say that’s true for Pillsbury – I’ve gotten all the samples in the past that I got through on time for
Set up a junk email account for this exact reason. I save my REAL email address for friends and business only. Hotmail/Outlook is perfect for fake emails. For me if it ends in hotmail it’s my fake emails. Also use this fake email to set up a fake facebook account. Keep the name similar to your own so it’s easier to remember. Doing these two simple things should help keep your real information and identity safe(r).
I’ve gotten every single sample I’ve requested from pillsbury, betty crocker, btfe & live better.
I also have a junk email/fb acct that I only use for FB freebies and “iffy” samples, that way my main email isn’t bombarded with crazy emails.

I’ve tried logging out and back in, different browsers, etc just like others suggested and I’m still getting the error.. now when I click the link to go to the entry form again, it just displays the error right away.
Call 800#. If enough people call they will fix it. Also, they’re mailing me my sample anyway. : ) 800-775-4777
I just went into my email and went to the email that came directly from Pillsbury and used that link and it worked, it accepted my sample request.

I just got my sample. But I went through the link that Pillsbury sent me in my e-mail newsletter.
Refreshed until I could quickly submit, but then got “The connection has timed out” error….

I get emails from Pillsbury, but never the ones offering the samples. Any suggestion how to sign up for the Sample Announcement emails? Thank you.
The emails with the free sample offers have recipes and you can find the link for freebie toward the bottom of the email. If you are getting Pillsbury emails, read all of them, you might just be missing it. Of course, it’s not in every email (they just do it once a month). GL!
I also was able to go through the link in my email. The T/C says – Sample offer is not valid if forwarded. I guess that’s why everyone is getting an error message going through the link above.
I was able to get mine through an email I received this morning. The title of the email was “5 new recipe + NEW Pretzel Smores bars.” There is no mention of the free sample in the email title. The free sample link is at the very bottom of the email.
I couldn’t remember if I was even subscribed to the emails, I know I have a pillsbury login for printable coupons.. it said I was not on the email list. I would guess that is why this freebie isn’t working for anyone who didn’t receive the email themselves. I changed my subscribe settings to get it not and will watch for next month’s sample.
I went thru the link in my email newsletter as well and finally it went through. My newsletters always come late and usually the samples are gone by the time I receive mine. My email just came a few minutes ago….usually I get them at 4 pm or so.

I just called to see if I could request a sample – the customer service rep told me that these emails were sent out randomly to some members, and only those members that received the emails could request the sample. I was unable to get one by calling

I just called the number, got through in a minute or so, and explained that I normally get the samples, but was having trouble with the page. The customer service rep said she’d notify someone of the problem with the page, then took my mailing info, and said I’d have the sample in 10-14 business days.
I’ve never signed up for the newsletter, just the website, but didn’t think to mention it on the phone. She didn’t ask about it either.
I got the e-mail, and was able to get one. Thanks Collin 🙂 I would have just deleted it.

Which makes no sense since the only people who can get it are registered users. Even if 10,000 people instantly came from freebie blogs only those who are already registred can have it anyway.
Yes, but they have more than 10,000 members. The sample is always exhausted by the time I receive my email.
I spoke with a rep over the phone. She is mailing one to me and said the site is having tech. difficulties.

I talked to a superviser, and she’s mailing me a coupon for a box of any product for all my trouble, I told her I’ve been on here forever for a sample.
just got email 3 mins ago and finally got free sample. email title: 10 New Recipes: Pretzel S’mores Bars + Salted-Caramel Peach Cobbler. free sample link is in the middle of it.
