I notice coupon inserts get more and more disappointing, and there are less in magazines i subscribe to. All You magazine used to have alot of coupons in every issue, now they’ve cut down alot on what they offer, add that in with the fact that stores will eventually get rid of double couponing.

    • debra

You are so right! All You is so disappointing now. I won’t be renewing unless free. I rarely step foot into Walgreens since they started balance rewards and the two grocery stores near me, Food Lion & Lowe’s don’t double coupons. CVS is my go to store and even then I don’t get as good of deals as I did several years ago.

      • Tammy

Walgreens rocks once u get the hang of the balance rewards and the rrs, I loved cvs but I’m telling u if you’ll give wags a try you’ll get just as good a deals as the double qs or better. I love that I can roll between rrs and brs, I also love that if get to $50 in brs worth more……… I was die heart cvs…. Now I’m a wags girl all the way:)

  2. Janet

Meijer already ended their double coupons in my area and the only store that doubles is Kroger, pretty sure they’ll eventually end that also.

    • lydia

Kroger down here in TX quit doubles quite a while back so I bet it spreads to the rest of their stores eventually 🙁

  3. tbits

I have expressed my disappointment about the coupons in the All You magazine @ allyou.com/customerservice or you can call 866 212-9065. Maybe if they hear from a lot more subscribers they may do something before its too late.

  4. Dorothy

I am from S.W. Missouri and we have a Walgreens just down the road from Price Cutter. The one I go to even ad matchs when you take in the ad and double coupons everyday up to .50. On Labor day only they tripled coupons. I love going there! On Wednesdays they give you a senior discount.

    • Letty

Dorothy, I think we might live in the same city. 😉 Yes, I feel very lucky that Price Cutter AND Harter House doubles. I am sad that Dillons quit. I agree with the others though that in general it is harder to get super good deals using coupons nowadays. Not in the amounts that I was able to a few years ago.

  5. Rachel

I have only been couponing for about 2 years, U have saved a lot but also realize from other peoples posts and stories that it used to be better….I just wonder if it is mostly bc of people out there who coupon but do it in such a way that it is wrong or illegal even…manufacturers and stores can’t lose money or they will take them away…if everyone out there coupons and does it fairly and equally it will be fine! But when people take advantage and get way more than they need just to add to their stockpile or make money, I think that is wrong…I’m not saying don’t stockpile or never get those money makers..I’m just saying do it sparingly!! 🙂

    • lydia

I always say the show “extreme couponing” did more damage than good. Seemed all the companies started changing their policies immediately following it airing 🙁

      • Niddi

I agree. This is my 5th year of couponing and I too blame that show. The stores have changed their coupon policies, are suspicious of anyone using coupons and the manufacturers have not only reduced the value of the coupons but also are putting limits on how many you can use per trip. I have no problem with limits and think enforcing “reasonable ” limits is good. However, the new Unilever coupons now state 2 like coupons per shopping trip and the latest Duke’s coupon states limit of 1 per customer.
Although my shopping habits are far from “extreme couponing” I would like to buy more than 1 or 2 of an item when it’s on sale. The best days of couponing are behind me and I’ve enjoyed the deals. These days I’m seeing empty shelves and full flea market tables and I read bragging posts about how many deals someone scored. Sad for the average person trying to shop wisely with coupons and stay within the family budget.

I agree. I think it has a lot to do with that show, but I think it also has to do with more people “extreme” couponing. Stores aren’t able to keep stock for those who want to buy just 1 or 2 of an item when these people show up and clean house. -.-

Hello my name is Renee and I’m trying to get back into couponing but unfortunately had to work a double yesterday so wasn’t able to grab any papers. Financially I’m struggling so I’m hoping to jump back into it. If anyone has any extra coupons and would be willing to help me out that would be fantastic. Thank you.
