What is the merit of having stars?
A dozen stars gives you a free beverage or food item
For every 12 stars you get free drink or food and if you reach 30 stars you’ll get gold status which has more benifits.

If you are Gold status, 12 stars make a free drink. If you are not Gold, then these stars help get you closer to gold.

Yes.
The stars don’t expire, but the free drink or food rewards are only good for a month.
