I talked to a service rep online and he said that they are having issues with the website and that i should get my order confirmation within 24 hours.
That is what he told me when I told him that I didn’t receive my order confirmation email.
Pheewww I thought I was the only one who hadn’t received the confirmation email! Even checked my spam!
I got three packs by matching the price in store. But she said since it was out of stock online she could only do it for me. Lucky day!!!

I ordered 1 pack of both at 8am ET this morning recieving an order number and everything. I never got an e-mail conformation for my order, so I went back to look in my staples account and I noticed I had “no orders” under my account. I then contacted the online chat which said my order was incomplete for some reason and told me to call the support site. I did this and was told my order was not proccessed and now all items were out of stock and she could not fulfil my order. She did state that there was a system update this morning and this might have been the issue. She was a WONDERFUL though and checked at my local store to see what they had in stock, then called the store asked them herself if they would honor the price and had them hold them for me at the checkout at that price 🙂 I am excited becuase I am a staff educator at a hospital. One would think we have an office supply budget for things like this but much like teachers, we do not. We use these all the time too.

I got this kind of email last week with the $.17 notebooks. But I didn’t receive my cancellation email until 4 days later. I was not happy! They blamed it on some system update.

Same here! Got 5 packs for about 5 bucks with the 30% off couponS! (The coupon is only good on one item and there’s a limit of 5 coupons per customer). I can’t believe I was able to get 5 packs for the original price of 1, that just amazes me. My bf was just asking me yesterday if I had any other Sharpies besides black (so he could use them at work) and the answer was No, but now I can say “Yup, here ya go!” lol. I really thought I was going to have to “fight” with them about it but it was smooth as butter, couldn’t be more pleased. I wanted to add that on my receipt the price change is marked as “100% Price Guarantee” so I’m thinking this is a store wide policy so if you’ve called and your store has said that they would not price match their own website… they might just be lying to ya. (?) If the deal is worth it to ya (like it was for us) it might be worth it to make a trip into the store and ask face to face.
Yes. It’s in their policy to price match their online price. I purchased mine in store because I had to pick up a delivery anyway.

My store honored the $1.50 online price as well after I told them all about the issue I had online this morning. They were very nice about it and the girl even let me use the 30% sharpie coupon so I got 3 packs for $3.40 total ($1.13 per pack!!)

My store price matched it no questions asked. They also said I could get as many as I wanted as it was a Staples price match. If you price match amazon you’re only allowed one. Didn’t see 30% off coupon! Also bought a binder and traded one in for 2$…
The Staples by me just closed so I stopped into OfficeMax, not only did they price match but they let me use the 30% off sharpie staples coupon as well as the 15% off the total purchase staples coupon and pair them with their penny deals. I was able to get 9 packs of sharpies and 3 note card packs for $8.48!!
When I pull up their website on my phone, the price on the ultra fine set jumps from $1.50 to $5.00 even though on my computer it stays at $1.50. Anyone have issues price matching that set?

Just went to my local Staples and they did not price match, even though I called ahead and asked if they were price matching on this item. The manager called into their corporate message line and corporate had recorded a message for all managers not to honor the price match of the Sharpie markers.
Our Staples did not price match, even though when I called ahead they said they would.
I was able to get them to price match in the store, but they didn’t want to at first. The guy who was helping me was gladly going to do it, but the lady on a register next to mine said no b/c it was a daily deal (they don’t price match online daily deals). I told her it wasn’t a daily deal according to their website. The guy checked with the store manager and had no problems with it. So, depending on your store YMMV.
I got 5 price matched plus 30% off each. There is a sign when you walk in the door that says they price match even for online items. Good luck! !
I was at office depot/max for the $2 duck tape. They price matched staples online price for the sharpies 12 pack at $1.50. I showed cashier the staples webpage, no questions asked. It was a breeze!

I realized this morning I hadn’t gotten an email confirmation….. Just now I got an email stating that my order would not be full filled as the items are out of stock. What BS. I placed that order with no problem, everything was in stock.
Agree! It’s frustrating when you order and get an order confirmation and then get an email a day later saying the items are out of stock. This is the second time in a row I have had this problem with Staples.
Mine was cancelled today.
Went to staples in Battle Creek MI , crew already knew about the problem they match price no problem took my 5 x30% off coupon ( one coupon per item ) got 5 pks for 5.57$ . With their new policy to match the price 100% everybody should get the price 1.50 .

Just cancelled mine too. Not fond of customer service. They put the low price out there to encourage you to shop with them. This incident did the opposite.
And there’s no Staples in my town to price match. Just stuck with on-line.

Did you see the price they changed it to even though it says out of stock? Couldn’t they just change it to the regular price it sounds almost offensive and angry by marking it that way.
They wouldn’t honor the price in my local store this morning. They said corporate wouldn’t allow it due to people buying ridiculous amounts. They were $5 though…still makes for a decent deal with the 30% off coupon paired with the 15% coupon…
