   Do you have to pay to use Google play? I don’t understand how it works. You can get the album free but can’t listen to it. I’m so confused. Any input would help. Tia!

  you do not need to pay, when you download your first album through Google play it asks you if you would like to pay $9.99 to have access to its music library. Just select no and you will still have the ability to listen to any album you buy or get for free.

  I do have gmail but it always takes me to a free trial of google play? And says it’s $9.99 after? Thanks so much for your response 🙂

  Brandy, buy the album. Then go to google play via the internet not the app. Switch to desktop mode if on a mobile device. From there you can download individual songs from the album to be opened (and the will save) in the program of your choice. I use amazon mp3 and it works perfect! Hope this helps.

    I tried to download this. I logged in with my gmail account and everything; only to get told I had to “add a credit card.” WTH?!!!???

  They ask for a form of payment, but they don’t charge you. ITunes also did this for free music, not sure if they still do. Amazon did this for a few free ebooks also. They don’t charge tax, so your credit card won’t be billed.
