I’ve been using them since it was ING, a few years now, and love it. I opened a checking account to get a bonus similar to this and have been using it as my “mommy fund”. I put cash back checks and money I get from survey companies, etc. into it. They have a phone app to keep track of balances and you can deposit checks remotely through the app, as well. Here is a great tip that I did last time this was offered…I opened a Capital One Money account which is for kids and teens, you will get the bonus for their account as well and they will also get a bonus of $25. I put their allowance on the card and they get to learn how to manage their money. I think you just need the $250 to start the account & to make 5 purchases within 45 days to ensure that you will get your bonus on day 50. I think that’s it. No minimum balance requirements beyond the initial deposit amount that I can see. Once you receive your bonus you can withdraw everything & close the account or keep it open & continue to use it with ease. Whatever your preference may be 🙂

Cons
1) Transferring money from another account takes almost a week to become available
I do not have direct deposit, so I do not know if funds available right away
2) Transferring from Capital One to an outside account can take up to a week fro funds to be available
3) Can not transfer money from savings to checking at a Capital Bank’s ATM
4) Mobile app can be a pain when entering your pin. I switch over to full site
Side notes
This is a great account to have if you want to save money, especially since it is a bit harder to get the money out of the account without the card and interest is so much better than most other banks.
