Happy Friday: Top 2% of CVS Savers
Sent from reader, Jacque:
I wanted to share a recent email I received from CVS. This has been my first year attempting to coupon after welcoming our third baby in four years! I could not have made this happen without your fantastic website and the support of my family. My parents and grandparents collect their coupon inserts and pass them on to me so I can save the most.
Come on though, the top 2% of savers?! Thanks for all you do to help families everywhere get the most benefit from couponing! Here’s to 2015! My goal? Make it into the top 1% 😉
HAPPY FRIDAY! 😀

My mom is actually in the top 1%
I was in the top 2% too, with Total Savings & Rewards of $581.29! I scan through your CVS deals post every week and have sent other friends your way as well after they saw how much I saved. Amazing!
Way to go Jacque. It looks like you should sign up for beauty club to save even more.
I was going to write the same thing
That’s awesome! Congrats
I was in the top 1%! Thanks Collin!
Saving that much money with 3 little ones is a HUGE accomplishment. I love couponing but don’t know where I would find the time for it with children! Congratulations!!!!!! You rock!
This is awesome!!!
Where can I find what my % is?
They send an email, seems like at least every month (my current one says Way to Save! in the subject line) and/or I get a postcard with the stats and a % off coupon.
I was in top 9% I thought that was good 🙂
Awesome. Today I got a survey email from CVS and earned $15 extracare bucks I can’t wait to go shopping!
I did one of these a few weeks ago, having a hard time spending it as my balance due is never over $15 🙁
Me too. Im also among the top 1%
Not to brag, but I’ve been in the top 1% for the last year or so (with a little help from Collin)… I only buy there when I get an awesome deal using sales items, high value mfg coupons, along with the magic machines coupons… about 6 months ago I showed the very nice manager my 1% email and now when he sees me he says “hi number 1” too funny…….
T
Way to Go! 1% here! Just keep plugging away, and you’ll get there!
Mine said top 1%. I thought it was just a gimmick. I do save a ton there though.
I use to be in the top 1%…I’ve been slacking.
Now I’m top 3%. Not bad I guess.
I’m in the top 1%- thanks Collin 😃
I got this similar thing with a 25%off coupon and I am in the top 1%
i dont know what percentage i belong in. but i havent been receiving percent off coupons for a couple of months now. last i knew i was saving close to 1,000 already. i called to ask why buy they said i was still registered in the system.
I’m in top 1% and I thought it was a mistake. Thanks so much, Collin.
I am all stocked up so I’m taking a break for 2015. Looking forward to couponing again in 2016! ^_^
Good for you! I was so excited to use my last $2.50 in ECBs this week . . . then the red coupon machine spit out $3 in quarterly spending. Sigh. So I’m looking for a way to spend my last $3. . . . I really don’t think I’ll go back to CVS again, though. Or at least not for extended periods of rolling. I really don’t use make up or have little ones in diapers and I prefer larger selections of products. Then again, I may feel differently in 2016!
Congrats and WTG! Made the top 1% this time. 😊
Thanks Colin it seems everyone who reads Hip2save is head of the class! 🙂
Congratulations! Well done!
I was in the top 1%, I earned $1857 in ECBs alone… My total savings was $7500. 🙂 thanks Colin for the matchups!
Great job!
Congratulations. That is truly amazing 😀😀😀
Not a big CVS fan…. There isn’t one close to my house, maybe that’s why.
I am in the top 1%. $1,560.00 in savings and rewards
good for you! im thinking they stopped sending me dollar off and percent coupons coz i save too much stacking up their coupons. too bad i wont be around cvs as often as i want.
I dont know whats everybody taking about??? can someone explain please, I did receive that email too saying that im top 1% but never pay attention, what does that means?? I also got 19.50 extra bucks and I was in shock.. that was a nice surprise, cvs is my favorite store. I will never think that 1% is something good it seems like something very low if Im doing something good it will say 100% for me LOL… can somebody explain please what that 1% means??? please
It means that only 1% of the people coming into CVS is saving more than you and 99% of the people purchasing at CVS are not saving as much as you. The top 1% in this case is good!
thank you so much for the info, I understand now… what a nice surprise, love love cvs
I have a $20 Tiny Prints code that expires tonight. Hope someone can use it. TP2H74C2ZE
That’s inspiring. I need to get back on the drugstore deals. CVS was always my favorite!
I didn’t get an email with that info. I’d love to see what mine would say…I’m curious as can be now!
Congrats! I love CVS and got in the top 1%. It really helps that I signed up for a promo they offered awhile back, where I get 5 ECB for every $15 I spend on cvs brand products. I try to buy everything generic so the ECB’s add up quick. Plus I live 2 minutes away so I go quite often. I use the % off coupons on stuff like organic milk so I don’t have to pay full price as their non sale things are quite high!
I am in 7% list hope to make it in 1%.
For perspective I only saved $150 and they didnt tell me where i stood percentage wise . I only shopped there a handful of times this year
Super smart marketing on CVS’s part. It’s the only drug chain that does this. Just another example of how it embraces couponers and knows how we think.
Way to go, Jacque! Keep it up 🙂
I’m in the top 1%! I saved over $2500 this past year at CVS!
some cvs’s will take expired extra bucks which i think is great sometime things happen and you cant make it also bjs wholesale takes only their coupons 1-2 weeks after expiring i try to always stock up on paper products when there on sale a with mfg coupons at cvs and get extra bucks also sign up for prescriptions unfortunately my husband needs to get them often hen finally listen to me and gave them his card it took nagging and finally got it he thought they do it on there own n dont need a card i showed him our summary from page he got it but now loves when he scans and gets the
5.00 extra bucks. congrats 3babies in 4 years you definitely need to couponing sleep alot of patience good luck enjoy know how blessed you to have children my grandson is a little over 2 and a hand full unfortunately i can not help her since his birth medical issues so let who ever especially if they have grand parent to help n enjoy they may not be able to take 3 at a time dont take it personally some of us dont want to admit we tire out more easily good luck on your goal i dont think it makes a big difference those cards they send you cant use on sale items if you could that wood definitely be awesome
On the topic of expired coupons, Bed Bath and Beyond will also accept their own coupons past the expiration. Worth asking!
depends on the location
Top 1% with $759.07 in total savings and rewards! Thanks for pointing out this e-mail. I would have never known this.
I’ve been couponing awhile at cvs and I never get those emails 🙁
I just checked and it said I was in the top 1% and savings and rewards were $1650.00. Wowzers. I love cvs. It’s my main store and the manager and my store is so nice and knows me and always helps me in any way he can.
Not to lessen your experience, because it’s wonderful that you are doing such a great job at couponing, especially with so many little ones, but I wonder how correct these notices are. I got a notice that I was in the top 1% of savers, but I barely couponed at all in 2014, after doing it hardcore for 3 years. I just got so burned out and actually had enough toiletries in my closet to not really need to do it, except every once in a while when I was out of something. (Like, I went from going to a drugstore or Target 3-5 times a week to maybe going once every 2-3 weeks…or less.) So either the percentages are wrong or everyone else just always buys things full price without even using the coupons that print from the Magic Coupon Machine. Either way, I basically only shop at CVS and Target now, so it does make me happy to see that. Congrats!
I agree. I slowed way down this past year and still got into top 2%.
What do you buy when you get these% coupons bcz u can’t hate on sale?
U can only use on regular items
Bcz you can only use on regular items.
Great job!!
