Hi,
I’m looking for a more reasonably-priced and easy to use sewing machine. Does anyone have any to recommend?
I have a singer like this but, would recommend a Brother. The singer was a gift so I can’t take it back.
I just ran into this Brother sewing machine on woot: https://home.woot.com/?ref=cnt_sb_hm_3. It’s a refurbished model, but it’s only $45+$5 shipping, so might be worth a shot.
The singer 4423 heavy duty has really good reviews as a easy to use good sewing machine. Not sure how much u were looking to spend but when i bought mine, there were plenty of other places that had it cheaper than amazon. I have a singer, and use to have a different singer and love it!!
I recently bought a brother xr9500pw. It was $165 on amazon and great for beginners as I am one. It’s very user friendly and comes with lots of accessories
This sells on ebay for same price if not cheaper.
the highest priced new one on Amazon is only $300, why was this marked up so high? Is it really this good of a deal?
Just bought. It has good reviews. Figured that if it doesn’t workout, then I could at least sell it and get my money back or something. I’ve been looking for a sewing machine. Not sure why they’re saying this is $900 though. I dont agree with that.
$300 at Walmart.com. I would much rather buy from an actual store where I can actually return it if it fails.. $900? really? Way to blow up the prices in order to sell
I have a brother and love it. A lot of people I’ve met from sewing groups who have Singer says they’re nothing like they used to be, they say they’re not as good quality anymore. I can’t really agree or disagree as I’ve never tried to use a Singer
As a long time sewer, I started out with an old singer sewing machine that had all moving parts made from metal. Over the years my parents bought me singer sewing and serger machines thinking they would last. NOT! Now the moving parts are made from plastic and metal. To get replacement parts and these serviced are about the price of another new machine. I would go buy from sears or walmart get the service plan in the long run it pays for itself. If you are an occassional sewer this MIGHT be for you. I have a used babylock serger that has lasted forever, a juki sewing machine and my grandma’s old 1960s singer. sewing machine.
I honestly would try finding a used older sewing machine and have it serviced. The older machines were meant to last and well worth it and you’ll moat likely pay less then you would for a new machine. I got a singer from my grandma paid 60 to have it serviced and its incredible.
Definitely!
The price is showing 399.00 on Amazon. Is there a code to drop it to 215.00?
On Amazon it says that the deal sold out
