Is this like a chromebook? Or like a real laptop? Can I print coupons and install office?

    • Mariza

This is a Windows based laptop, not a Chromebook. You can install MS Office, the reviews on Amazon are helpful if you want more info.

I am so awful with computers so i hope someone can help. My Dad would like to start putting his music cd collection on an ipod. I need to find a simple, inexpensive laptop with a cd drive. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you for reading.

      Hi Kay!
If your Dad wants a brand new laptop i would suggest this one:https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lenovo-15-6-laptop-amd-e1-series-4gb-memory-500gb-hard-drive-black/4771300.p?id=1219816699602&skuId=4771300
If he doesn’t mind a refurbished one from eBay heres a more affordable option:https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fast-Dell-Latitude-Laptop-Computer-Core-2-Duo-4GB-WiFi-DVD-Windows-7-Notebook-HD-/191030250756?hash=item2c7a4a4d04:g:5eAAAOSw8-tWXlEE
Both of these laptops will be able to copy cd’s to iTunes and then sync them to an iPod without any problems! If you have any questions just ask 🙂

Thank you so much for replying Kris! 🙂 I actually have a Lenovo for work and really like it so i will prob go with it. My Dad had a stroke 2 years ago and recently got a tablet he has done well with. We hope transferring his CDs will give him a “hobby” as he loves music and is stuck at home.
He will need internet to transfer the cds onto itunes right? Sorry i have tried to research but its all so complicated.

The Lenovo is a great deal! I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad and i hope that he enjoys his new computer. You don’t need internet to transfer cds to iTunes but sometimes when you load a cd on iTunes it doesn’t transfer the track name (it will say “Track 1” instead of the actual song name) so if your computer is connected to the internet iTunes just pulls that information from the internet automatically for you instead of manually typing it out. 🙂 Have a great day Kay!

Just wanted to put in my input that i recently received a chromebook for Christmas. I was a little disappointed as i was worried it couldn’t do what a laptop did… But i now love it and out can do everything a laptop does! And they are cheaper! I have an acer chromebook 15 🙂
