He’s giving away his books because many of his loyal readers no longer wish to support him. His views on child porn are horrible and my household no longer contains any of his works (an entire section of one bookcase used to be dedicated to nothing but his writings). Do his views or beliefs make his books any less well written? Not at all. But I simply cannot read anything more of his. Sorry. Not trying to put negative stuff out there, but I can’t sit quietly while others may not know the horrible mindset of this man. You can read more here or simply do a google search.

My mother was a librarian and I grew up believing books were like little sacred treasures…that said, we burned all of the books we had of his…I’ve never in my life thrown a book into a fire but I did his…donating them didn’t feel right…after reading his sickening views on something that is so important to me, I don’t want any of his words to be shared by me in anyway anymore…it really is a shame because he’s talented…but knowing his mind contains the thoughts it does, I don’t want to read anything that came from that same mind ever again 🙁
Thanks Christina Bacon for posting this. I was not aware of any of this. Usually, I don’t let things like this make up my mind one way or the other but this is just a disgrace! His friend just happened to come across child porn one night? I’ve been searching the web for years and never have accidentally ever clicked on one. This has to be in my opinion, one of the most hideous crimes someone can be involved in.

We are entitled to have different opinions and if his opinion doesn’t coincide with mine that’s fine with me. I’d still get his book since it’s free and if I didn’t like it later on I can just donate it or give it away.
I got this previously, and it turned out to just be a large pamphlet explaining the organization. Went right into the recycle bin.
Just to make a note here, this is a very short novel and the turn around time is several weeks. I would encourage anyone wanting to know more about it to read this Washington Post article. It talks a lot about the book, the subject matter and why it’s being given away.

Thank you! I ordered a hard copy for my husband, who is recovering from open craniotomy to remove a brain tumor, after failed Cyberknife Radiation Surgery. We are constantly vigilant for recurrence of the tumor, so I will definitely be reading this book, too.

I know he said some crazy things about child porn but he does have a point about one thing. It isn’t fair that an individual gets more jail time for viewing online vs actually molesting a child (bc usually child/parents decide not to testify as the case moves along). How is that fair? Either way, I am ordering the book because it will help a family member currently working through a found tumor. Thank you Collin! My uncle appreciates it.
