I own an older model of the Hoover Floor Mate. I love it. It cleans so so well. The down side is it is very loud. But the plus side is your floors will be extremely clean. Overall, I’d still definitely recommend this machine!

Exactly!!! I have bought 4 of these, each one very used, from Goodwill. I didn’t know they were available new, but I’d be afraid that a new one (unless it had been in a warehouse since 2010) would be wimpy like all other machines I have tried. This is the only one powerful enough to handle my floors which get mud brought in from my gardening and my dogs being dogs. They are so loud, so true. I don’t mind- it’s the best!
P.s. to above post: the reason I bought 4 of these from Goodwill is that I am searching for one in excellent condition. Each one I’ve had so far had some issue, but if I can use it , I will. I can’t stress enough that no other machine that is meant for hardwood or tile floors comes remotely close to doing as good a job as these older machines. New machines of varying brands have terrible features such as a cleaning pad that rotates- on my floors, it would be too dirty after only a few square feet. I purchased 3 different machines made by different manufacturers, trying to find one that was on par with the older Hoovers. Each broke down in a couple of weeks. If you are a gardener, have pets, kids, a dirt yard (no plants),etc., an older Floormate is the only machine tough enough for your situation, trust me. If you can tell me where to find one of these new-in-box but not any newer than 2012, I will be so grateful!
I have this and love it for cleaning ceramic tile. Much better than anything else I have tried. Nothing is better than getting on your hands and knees, but this comes close!

I owned mine for a long time and I needed a new one. It cleans very well and picks up everything as you clean your floors that you probably thought was already picked up after you used your regular vacuum cleaner. I’d only use a mop for those hard to reach places when I’m doing a deep cleaning. Once you mopped with this and you said how well it cleans and all the dirt that picks up, you’d only use those cleaning pads in-between cleanings. I also have a son with seasonal/dust allergies and since Inhave been using this,I really thinks it has helped him a lot since it helps me keep house cleaner and remove all the allergens as it cleans better. I just ordered it and this is a great price so this post saved money. I’d have probably missed this deal so thanks for posting deal of the day. Thanks Collin!

Cons: it’s heavy, bigger/bulky and loud
Pros: it cleans your floors well as the clear water collector shows the black water so nicely. Hoover says you need to use their expensive solution so I would be careful about what you use as other cleaners can clog the Machine. I have tried vinegar water in mine which I don’t think is too harsh but would love to hear what others use. Overall I like my machine and use it once a month to do a deeper clean of my wood and marble floors. I don’t think it is all that much quicker than other methods but definitely easier and probably cleans better than conventional methods where you are just spreading dirt around. You still need to vacuum wash and dry your whole surface so it takes some time.
