I noticed that Kohl’s and Toys r Us both have American Girl dolls and accessories. I thought that was interesting since they have never been sold by other retailers before now.
Keep in mind at Kohl’s u can’t use coupons on the dolls…
You can’t use coupons, but I guess you can earn/redeem Kohls cash and Yes2You Rewards.
They just rolled that out this year and it’s only the Truly Me and the new WellyWisher dolls. TRU allows for coupons on the WellyWishers but not the Truly Mes fwiw

If you’re part of the reward program they should have sent you an email with a code or even in the magazine.
I’m a part of the rewards program and all I received is free shipping when you spend $75.
Our October 2016 catalog did not have the code, but my mom got a different catalog with the 20% off code. She has never made a purchase, thus I am guessing she was targeted by marketing as a new potential grandparent customer.
Yes! I just combined the free shipping and 20% yesterday! I’ve been waiting and being patient and it paid off. I stacked the promos with the Costco gift cards they had awhile ago ($80 for $100 worth of gc’s) and got a sweet deal for my daughter for Christmas!

Last month I used the 20% off coupon on the Truly Me sale set they had going on, and used my AG rewards certificate too. Ended up w a doll, 2 outfits, and an accessory for $83 shipped free! So I would assume no problem using free shipping and 20% off.

I just called our Costco (Omaha Ne) and they said they NEVER carry the 18″ regular size dolls. Only little ones and accessories. I’m trying to decide if I believe her or I should stop by after work and check for myself! 😀

Our daughter wants an AG doll so badly that it is all she has asked for lately. I really wish AG would start sending us catelogs again.:( We really can’t afford to buy her one but the 20% and costco gc could make it possible.

Just bought the twins their first American Girl-Truly Me Dolls for b-day. Our Costco carries American Girl dogs/pony/small dolls but no GC!! American Girls website has a free shipping code until the end of October. We’ve never bought a doll so had a 20% promo sent with the catalog.
What’s the big deal with these dolls? Why are they anymore popular than a normal doll? I would love to understand, I have two young daughters and wondering if this is something they would eventually want!
Hi, Rose. I’m 32 years old and I read my first American Girl book when I was in elementary school. I now have an 8 year old god daughter that is just as enthusiastic as I was about American Girl books. My god daughter, like me at her age, likes to play with dolls. And what better doll to have than a doll that looks like the character from the book that you like? Think about all of the Disney and Pixar movie merchandise parents buy for their children, the fondness for American Girl dolls has a similar concept. The doll is not cheap but it is a quality product.
I threw my catalog out. I didn’t about trading it, lesson learned. Anyway, the fact these dolls are now being sold at Costco, Target and Kohls tells me a lot.
Did you see an American Girl doll being sold at Target? Target has their own version which is Our Generation.
I was able to pick this up at my local Costco.
It will be a Mery Christmas at our house.
