Wow why does everything cost so much. Can we somehow all come together and get prices lowered on toys and games!!

  2. Esther

So is everyone gonna jack the price up now?

  3. Arianne

Thought these were $59.99? Do I remember incorrectly? Or is this a special edition?

    • Laura

same thing – just a jacked up price. I was able to get one – not worth more that $60.

    • Erin

This is a “bundle.” Doesn’t seem as if the addition of a book should increase the cost so much. . . . We just play all those games on PC if we feel the need.

  4. Deb

Amazing how the “shortage” of the NES Classic Edition “somehow” got resolved after the Christmas rush! I am tired of how companies create false shortages in order to cause a consumer frenzy for an item. Saw this with the NES and the Hatchimals this year…

    • Melanie M

      Amen!

  5. KAJ-T

    Sold out😞

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

      Bummer!

  6. Ez

    SOLD OUT!

  7. Tracy

It’s higher because it comes with a book in addition.

    • April

Now books cost that much? The prices are insane whether you can afford it or not.

  8. Mommy B.

That is not a good deal and it doesn’t even have a second controller in the “bundle”. I LOVE Hip2save, but this holiday season there have been so many posts just to show something is in stock, not a good deal which is what it used to be about. :/

    • Bryn (Sister Sidekick)

Hi there! These Nintendo systems have been really popular this season. And this bundle included a Playing With Power: Nintendo NES Classics book which made the cost a bit higher than the regular price. The entire Hip2Save Team works really hard to bring you a wide variety of deals so if this is something you are not interested in, just skip over the post! 🙂

      • Veronica

        🙌🏽❤️

      • Kristi

        Well said!

      • Jen

WELL SAID! Plus if people don’t like what they see then THEY can take time out of THEIR own day and do their own research to find deals! I don’t say much negative things on posts but it’s ridiculous to see people COMPLAIN when THEY don’t like a post that suits them. Colin and crew take time to find deals and try to make things easier for US… so instead of complain…. APPRECIATE their efforts!!! THANK YOU COLIN & CREW!!!!

        • Shonna

          Yes, THANK YOU!

      • Tracy

Well said! Love and will always love hip2save!

      • Mommy B.

Yes, I do understand that and as I stated I said I LOVE Hip2save! There is such thing as an in stock tracker (hip2save in the past did not post just to say something was in stock) and this is still not a good deal. A lot of people will buy this bundle just because it was posted. This book can be purchased for $13.99 online and the system for $59.99 and a controller for $9.99… THAT is what I was implying to let others know that this is NOT A GOOD PRICE. If you ladies want to pay extra, be my guest. I appreciate everything the team does and will continue to follow. Thank you!

    • dblD-amber

I think most of the items are posted because they are items that were popular and highly sought after. although they may have not been a great deal they were posted to give the people a chance to buy them.

    • Chris

Some people just like to complain don’t they? 🙁

      • Jai

Agree! And they just do nothing but to complain.

    • stephanie

I have found soooo many deals here this season (over the last 6-7 years honestly) I haven’t needed the Nintendo or the hatch thing but I still glance at them when they are posted because of the craze. I am sure there are some collectors out there or parents of a really excited kid who was excited to see these avaliable again. I get excited hoping they can score that ONE thing they had their hearts set on. No reason to shoot the messenger. They are here for us all. Not to tailer to one certain need. Just saying. Keep up the good (not to mention hard) work! So thankful for each and every post!

    • Joy

I agree Mommy B! Apparently you struck a nerve smh.

      • J

If you don’t like the deals that are posted. FIND A NEW WEBSITE FOR DEALS.

      • Stephanie

It not striking a nerve it’s called RESPECT for others.

  9. Gina

No longer available. Arianne, this comes with a book which is why it’s more expensive.

  10. Kaylee

    It is still Available

    • dblD-amber

      yes just purchased

  11. Andi

Just FYI, these only come with one controller and it’s difficult to find a second controller since they tend to be sold out everywhere. It’s still a pretty fun game if you grew up playing the original like I did.

    • Brandon

There are a lot of aftermarket controllers that work perfectly fine with the NES. I picked up the Edge Gamepad v2 from Walmart and it works perfectly fine so far. Once the official nes controllers are available I will get one of those

  12. Megan

We got one for a family member for the retail price of $60 at Best Buy before Christmas. It is super fun, and once the hype dies down, I would love to get another……..for $60 😉

  13. Kat

    back in stock

  14. pamiam

Our family still has and plays the original.
    🙂

  15. Chris

    Out of stock again

  16. v

Do these units use the “old” controllers from the original system? I saw a controller on the Walmart site for $9.99. If the original controllers do work with this new system, they possibly can also be found in flea markets and at thrift stores.

  17. Shell0216

Be patient and call around. My son did that and he and my hubby both stood in line last week at Best Buy to get one. The Best Buy mgr was very helpful and informative compared to Target the employees kept lying to us.

  18. mommyof5

Hopefully I find one soon my husband birthday is next month and I would love to give him one. We have stood in line and try to get one black friday and last week before christmas they were all sold out.

  19. JJ

Book is $30, so only $15 above list price

  20. Sharon

Wish I could get one – I remember playing Galaga on the big arcade machine. I LOVED that game! I always had 3 or 4 of the “top 10 high scores” LOL Gosh I’m getting old.
Thanks for all you do Hip2Save! Looking forward to another deal filled year!

  21. DJ

keep googling every day, that’s how I managed to get one this am from gamestop.com
