Do your kids LOVE making slime? 🙌
Mine definitely do! I’m sharing our latest favorite Puffy Slime recipe that’s a little thicker than traditional slime and needs just three main ingredients. This is such a fun activity that’d be perfect to keep in mind for Summer break coming up!
DIY Puffy Slime:
Makes enough for 2 kids
- In a bowl, stir together glue and liquid starch. Add any food coloring if desired.
- Add shaving cream and stir well.
- Keep stirring until solid slime forms. If it’s too wet or sticky, just keep stirring and manipulate with hands.
Note: I recommend using Elmer’s glue and the Stay-Flo brand starch. I’ve tried another brand of starch in the past that didn’t work out. I’d also use the foam type of shaving cream instead of gel.
Note: This recipe is very forgiving with exact amounts. I only had 1 cup of glitter glue and sort of eye-balled the other two amounts without measuring closely and it worked fine.
After you’re done playing with the slime, store it in a covered jar, Tupperware, or plastic bag and it will keep for a while! My kids love making this with their friends. I’ve got to say that I actually like joining in too! So FUN!
