I’m trying to imagine how much freezer space is needed for 40 lbs of bscb. Is there anyone who has purchased this before that could give an idea of how they store/freeze that quantity so I can decide if we might be able to manage that much? We have a large family and an average size side by side fridge. I’m also wondering if their chicken breasts are fairly trimmed and ready to use? Lately I feel like I have to trim so much off of the bscb I buy from my grocery store that it’s a significant amount of waste. Thanks!

I wanna know, too about the chicken breast if there’s a lot of fats and that gooey white stuff (or is that the fat?) that I have to trim. I agree that a lot goes to waste, even Costco chicken. Thanks.
There is not much fat but they do come with 2 breasts connected, so I cut each piece in half before I freeze it.
Once you put it in freezer bags, it takes up about 2 small shelves like someone above said. A lot, but less than half the freezer. I also cook some in the crockpot right away so I have cooked, shredded chicken on hand, and that condenses it as well.
IMHO, based on purchasing 120# in the past , is that they are not very well trimmed. At least mine were not CONSISTENTLY trimmed the same. The freshness, quality and taste is very good.
I have been debating whether or not to order from this company. Well this deal made me finally pull the trigger. Now the pressure is on to make some room in my deep freezer. I for see lots of home cooked meals for the next month.
I know not a lot of you might have a Gordon food service in your area but we carry 40lb boxes of boneless skinless as well and we also sell them in a 10lb bag right now they are 17.99 which is 1.79 a pound and the lowest I’ve seen them is 14.99 a pound!

Cooler would be depending on your weather and how far you are traveling
I would recommend tossing a trash bag or something to protect your car just in case there is any leakage. I’ve been buying from them for years and have never had that occurred….but I still prepare!
