Planning a trip to Disney World?

If so, now is the time to consider making reservations as you can save up to $500 on a 5-night/6-day room, Magic Your Way base ticket, and dining plan package for a family of 4 at select Disney Resort hotels. This limited-time offer allows you and each person in your party to enjoy two meals and two snacks per person for free, during each night of your stay.

Note that this offer is valid at select Disney Resort hotels for arrivals most nights from January 1 through March 10, 2018 when you book now through December 22, 2017, and you must book a minimum of three nights but no more than fourteen nights.

You will receive the Quick-Service Dining Plan if you’ll be purchasing a Disney Value Resort package which includes two quick-service meals and two snacks per person, per night of your stay.

The Disney Dining Plan, which includes one quick-service meal, one table-service meal and two snacks per person, per night of your stay, will apply to Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resort hotel packages.

This offer excludes the following room types:

Campsites, 3-Bedroom Villas, The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Cabins at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. Also excludes gratuity and alcoholic beverages. Children ages 3 to 9 must choose from the children’s menu, if available. Tickets and options must be used within 14 days of first use and first use use must occur on or before December 31, 2018.

Also, you can head over here to print a FREE Countdown to Disney image (use cardstock paper if you have it on hand!) Then just cut the sides of the paper to fit into an 8×10 photo frame. Each day, use a white board marker and write on the glass frame to indicate the number of days left in your countdown. This is a great way to add some fun to the days/weeks leading up to your Disney trip!

We saved a lot of money on our next trip by planning far in advance and renting points from a DVC member. Our park tickets are gratis due to an unfortunate incident on our last trip involving macaroni and cheese from friars nook and cockroaches 🙄

We just got back from a week at WDW with free dining! It was a no brainer to go during free dining bc we saved over $1,000 by taking advantage of the deal. We stayed at Coronado Springs and it was fantastic. There is construction right now but it never bothered us. We love disney so much!

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Glad to hear you had a wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing your experience Rachel!

The promotion that released today is NOT free dining. It is a package discount or room discount.

    • Cindi

Yep, there is a big difference between this promotion and free dining. Also in mind, most spring break dates are blacked out, that’s why they say “most” nights between dates.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for your feedback! This has been updated!

We really enjoyed the free dining last fall just a note to larger parties of 6+ they automatically add gratuity on sit down meals even buffets which are most of them, it is charged back to your room so just keep that in mind so you are prepared. When we go again we will most likely do only quick service as the food was just as good and you don’t have to make reservations. Especially when it comes to the character dinners the food definitely lacks just depends on what is more important to your family.

We’re going to Disney next month any discount on Park tickets at all? I can’t imagine paying $100 a person per day that’s just crazy and we only want to go for one day thanks in advance

    • Ashley

Unfortunately disney doesn’t discount one day park tickets. They’re discounts start at 3+ days

    • Kassidy

Go to a timeshare presentation meeting to get a couple free passes…last about an hour and includes free breakfast…definitely worth the $200 savings!!

    • Sara

Discounts are definitely hard to come by! I’d recommend buying tickets now so you can make fast passes. Planning ahead of time makes your experience so much smoother & you’re able to do so much more!

Is this only Disney World or for Disneyland too?

    • MandyK

Hey Kate. Right now Disneyland does not have any promotions for 2018. The current offer ends December 21st.

  8. MandyK

We just got back from a week long trip to Disney World (and Legoland) last week. We have the Disney Visa premier card which is great but after doing some research, we saved the most money by purchasing Disney gift cards at Sam’s.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for the helpful feedback Elizabeth!

  10. Katie

I was just on the Disney website. There is no free dining discount available under special offers. I have booked with the free dining deal many times so I know what the deal looks like. $500 off isn’t enough to cover the dining plan. What am I missing???

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Hi Katie! It appears this is a package promotion. Sorry for the confusion. The post has been updated.

  11. Ann

This is definitely NOT the free dining promo which is extremely popular with dates being released in April. This is a discounted package offer. If you forgo the dining, it is much cheaper. Price it out both ways to see for yourself.

    • Collin (Mrs. Hip)

Thanks for letting us know Ann!

  12. Lisa

I’m planning a trip to Disney and Universal in May. We are staying off site and not getting the dining plan this time. Does anyone know any ways to get discounted tickets to either?

    • Katie

Undercover tourist is one that I’ve seen recommended many times.

  13. KellZoll

yes, lots of people recommend undercover tourist.
We got ours at a AAA local office. You can order them and they will mail them to you, but you need a lot of lead time to be sure you get them before you leave. has a ton of helpful info and ways to save money at Disney.

  14. Dee

I’m confused by what everyone is saying that it’s not a dining plan. i see packages that offer tickets and room and dining and it seems cheaper than just room?

  15. DBarr

Called last evening. Waited on the phone for 2.5 hours and all Value & moderate rooms with this promo are taken!

  16. Angie

A good way to save $ is by getting the chase Disney credit card. You only need to spend $500 worth in the first 3 months and you get a $200 Disney gift card. We used the gift card for parking at the parks, snacks within the park and souvineers (also works at Disney store in downtown Disney). IF you are referred, there’s NO annual fee, otherwise there’s a $49 annual fee. If you want a referral, please email me at thanks!!
