   I don’t understand how the fire stick works. Does this eliminate the need for a TV box? Can someone explain briefly?

  The device offers most streaming apps in one place (Hulu, Netflix, etc.,… not vudu though). Perfect if you do not have a smart TV or any other smart device connected to your TV already as it pretty much turns your TV into a smart TV. It also has game apps. Hth.
