Today, November 27th only, Amazon is offering up this Instant Pot DUO Plus 6-Quart 9-in-1 Multi-Use Programmable Pressure Cooker for only $74.95 shipped (regularly $119.95) – this is by far the lowest price for this item!
The Duo Plus replaces NINE common kitchen appliances including a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, yogurt maker, egg cooker, sauté, steamer, warmer, sterilizer and it makes cake too – plus it has got awesome reviews!
Wow! I’ve been wanting one of these, what a great price.
Debating whether to take back the 5qt lux and go with this instead. Thoughts?
I was wondering the same thing about my 6 qt 7-in-1. Is it worth the $7 price difference and Kohl’s cash to upgrade?
Just read the review Liz posted- the major differences are cake, egg and sterilize. Very cool, but I already spent my Kohl’s cash so I will stick with the 7 in 1
I found this article really helpful when I was trying to decide the difference https://ovens.reviewed.com/features/what-are-the-differences-between-all-the-types-of-instant-pots
Thanks Liz!
I have th 6, it’s kinda small. I think it’s worth the money to get a larger one.
I think the duo line is much more liked than the lux one.
Yes! I got a 6 quart two years ago. My only regret was not getting larger size. Just ordered the 8 quart that was on sale Friday.
Why do you wish you had the 8 quart? How big is your family?
not so much the size of the family but the size of the food I personally cook in it. I love steamed vegetables. if I want a very large batch, it doesn’t all fit. I make lots of BBQ chicken. If the breasts touch, they don’t fully cook and must cook longer which makes it a little overcooked. I had to stack the chicken breasts on a metal steaming tray to separate them. Also, a 7 inch springform pan is what will fit the 6 quart. It’s smaller than I would like. I would prefer a larger pan when making lasagna in the IP or banana bread. Just my preference!
Katie, I’m wondering the same thing! I’m not sure what the differences are though…..
Yogurt maker and Sterilize functions
I think it’s the sterilize function only. The Duo has the yogurt function. The button is just in a different place on the front. That seems to be it.
I just came across this in an article. Helpful info.
“You’ve got all the standard features from the original model, plus Cake, Egg, and Sterilize settings. The alarm clock aesthetic of the display has been updated to a blue LCD screen, which also displays icons that indicate selected settings. The Instant Pot’s inner bowl also displays more comprehensive max/min fill lines. These aren’t massive updates, but they’re enough to make the Plus60 worth your consideration.”
I bought the lux deal from Walmart for $44. I’m tempted to return it or gift it and buy this one instead. I’m interested in opinions. Any owners want to recommend what they prefer?
I have the Lux and have had it for a year or two and use it weekly. There are ways to make yogurt in the Lux so you don’t need that button. I have considered upgrading but honestly, it isn’t a good enough deal to make me consider it seriously. I love my Instant Pot and have zero complaints with the Lux.
Thank you!! 🙂
I think I will keep the lux!
Just my 2 cents but for the difference it’s worth it to get the bigger one. Also if you haven’t check out the huge community of instant pot folks on Facebook. Its awesome!
I was just eyeballing this last night, thanks for posting!
You’re welcome Cathy!
I returned the 5 quart Lux I bought on Black Friday at Walmart and purchased an 8 quart Duo. In addition to the features mentioned already, I found out the Lux doesn’t have low pressure, which is good for eggs and delicate meats. I then spoke to someone who owns both the 6 and 8 quart, she said it she could do it over she would just invest in the 8-quart. The smaller sizes are good for couples, but the 8 is better for families of four or more. Her 6-quart works fine, but she finds herself using her 8 more, especially for leftovers. Just another thought, can’t wait to use it!
Thank you for posting this! I have a family of 6, and have the 8 qt. on the way from the deal a couple of days ago. I was considering if I would rather want the DUO Plus features, or the 8 qt. capacity, since apparently I can’t have both! I have four boys to feed, so I think I’ll stick with the greater capacity.
I just ordered mine! Now I need to do some organizing in my kitchen to make room for it. I really wanted a model that does eggs. Can’t wait to experiment. Hope my husband doesn’t freak out!
IS this the same one that was $68 at kohls and then you get a $15 kohls cash back?
Oh my gosh, just when you get 1, there’s another slightly better one that comes out.
Can’t keep up
Is this big enough for a family of 6? I’ve been thinking of getting one, but not sure which size to get?
I would get at least 8qt for family of 6.. or maybe (2) 6qt cookers.
I was upset when Kohl’s cancelled my order online on Saturday because they sold out the 6 qt and I missed the 8 qt from Amazon. Now I think things happen for a reason. I’m supposed to get a better one. This one is better… Haha. Thank you for posting. Love hip2save.
Tempted to buy myself one. Would this get too hot to sterilize bottles and nipples?
I have this question too
I ordered amazon that I saw and will return 6qt back to Kohl’s. It’s newer model right? What difference between new and old model. Should I get new or old? So it’s hard choice bec which on better? Let me know
What is LUx?
Williams Sonoma has this same item for $79.95 and extra 10% off and free shipping with code SAVEMORE.
Darn! I found the Instant Pot but the 10% off code is not working for me.
Yes. What is the 10% off coupon code?
The savemore code for a percent off cannot be applied to instant pot brand.

Has anyone ever used the “GeekChef 11-in-1 Multi-Function 6.3 Qt. Pressure Cooker”? It is on sale at Home Depot for $60.99
😩. I wanted to get two and it won’t let me 😢
I️ just purchased the Instapot DUO 80 – 8 quart 7 in 1 on Black Friday for $81.99. This DUO plus 6 quart 9 in 1 has the egg and cake programs and sterilization setting. Should I️ return the DUO 80 for this DUO plus? I️ want to be able to make hard boiled eggs and cakes.
I make hard boiled eggs in my regular 6qt duo an older model I think 7 in 1. I use the trivet, place whatever amount of eggs on it then add about 1 cup of water in it. Manual mode for 7 minutes on high pressure and release after about 5 minutes and it works great!
You should switch with me. I just ordered this one but kinda wish I had an 8 quart because we have a larger family.
Hi. When I click on this, I’m not seeing the 74.95 offer. It has 6 buying options starting at $120.
same here. is the offer not valid anymore?
The offer is over 🙁
Sorry ladies, the offer is over. My boss got me one earlier today (yay for me!). But I had one in my cart (my personal account) and it said no longer available from the seller chosen.
I got this same one from Williams-Sonoma using the gift cards they sent for the Apron fiasco.
Thanks for posting this deal!
You don’t need an egg setting on your Instant Pot to do hard boiled eggs. I just cooked a dozen in my 8-quart Duo tonight on low pressure and they were perfect!
Ran out
Bummer!
I have the 8qt 7 in 1 duo, highly recommend it! You can’t fill over half full with liquid so just keep that in mind. We only have a family of 3 but I’d rather have more then enough space then not enough when making meals in it.
Hey! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I genuinely enjoy reading your posts. Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same subjects? Thanks for your time!
