I decided to give this filter a go. I’ve had this air purifier for about 5 months now and I would buy one for every room in my house if they were a little less expensive. My symptoms aren’t nonexistent, but they’ve definitely improved and that’s all I could ask for!
We have two cats in our 4,000 sq ft house. When my sister came from out-of-state, she asked if our cats ran away. She said our home had zero odor or scents, which is what I was going for when I purchased this purifier.
You will be amazed when it’s time to change the filter. The amount of dust collected on the old filter is shocking. I had no idea this much dust was actually floating around in my home. I also noticed dusting furniture has been reduced.
While I can’t measure specifically how well this works, I can smell and breathe the difference. This air purifier has made breathing noticeably easier in our home, and the air smells much cleaner, especially with the ultra violet light turned on.
Does anyone have this can comment. Reviews are mixed.
I have two. I like them when I stay at hotels or peoples houses since I have bad allergies and it helps a lot. The bad part, Replacement filters are expensive And I don’t suggest buying the knockoff filters. These work good but be careful if you have asthma. I suggest Reading up on these type of air filters before you purchase if you do have asthma. Just my opinion and thoughts.
I have a smaller one and love it!
Thanks! I’m considering getting one and this is good to hear.
i had this one or the bigger version of it a few years back but ended up returning it im not sure think mine might of been defective somehow i got really bad headaches and black stuff on the walls when i ran it wondering if the bulb part or something wasn’t sealed right or something wasn’t right so returned it i have a couple of there plug in the outlet ones and on issue with those. have other air purifers no issue so think was a bad one didn’t get another one of them but i do enjoy having a purifier going it helps alot 🙂 favorite i have used is winix got under 100 on sale
We bought this back in December , had it for three nights and smelled burning it was this unit. Thankfully we were still awake and able to catch it and unplug it before it started fire.
Oh darn! Sorry to hear that and so glad you are safe!
I have two of these. One in my daughters room and one downstairs. We’ve had them for months and haven’t had any issues with weird smells. In my daughters room I basically use it as a white noise machine which I really appreciate. I haven’t purchased a replacement filter for it, I just vacuum it but we do not have allergies so I’m not very concerned. Especially given the expense of the filters. I really purchased it at the recommendation of someone since we have a dog who sheds but I rarely see hair on the filter.
We have one. We run it at night like a white noise machine. It does seem to help with odors in general, haven’t really noticed improvement in our allergies though. We have a cat and dog, so anything that cuts down on the sander is helpful. I would agree about the filters… they’re expensive! We are also having trouble finding authentic pre-filters. I purchased a set ON Amazon but they were nothing like the one that came with the purified. Overall, I’d give it a 3.5 out of 5.
Thanks so much for your thoughts on this unit Kristin. Sorry to hear the replacement filters are so pricey!
I have one of these for almost every room in the house.
I have the smaller ones in the bathroom.
I have a medium sized one I take to hotels with me.
I have asthma. I live in a 50 year old pier and beam home in Dallas. Molds, dust, ozone days, are no match for my home. I stopped having bad headaches. I haven’t had a sinus infection in a long time.
The filters are not cheap. The UVC light emits ozone (bad for asthma)at first, but the smell dissipates. I finally bought a uvc light bulb for the more challenging room.
This is a good price, although Kohls occasionally has them at better prices. Target sometimes does too.
I stand behind my decision to have these and recommend them. This is a good price for today, but this is the most I’d be willing to pay for it.
I’m totally with Leslie on this. I have one of these as well that I purchased due to confirmed black mold in our RV until we are able to remediate. Within 1 week of having this unit our symptoms practically subsided and we had been sick for about 2 years with severe headaches and flu like sysmtoms because we had no idea about the mold. I definetely stand behind this product. Yes, the filters are a bit expensive. I know because I just bought one 2 days ago but it’s really worth it for your health. I plan on running this unit even after we are able to take care of the mold issue.
We got this one from bed bath and beyond online with 20% coupon last month for $79.99. No complaints from me but I don’t have allergies and I don’t notice much difference. I just checked BB&B and it’s $84.99 currently and there was a $20/$75 in my account. It looks to be same model as this one but I didn’t compare model numbers. So check your BB&B accounts for coupons and it could be cheaper.
