Any affordable gift ideas for teachers during teacher appreciation week?

    • ella

I know people sometimes scoff at gift cards, but when I’m on a budget, I like to give small $ gift cards to someplace like a coffee shop, Dunkin or Starbucks or even gift certificate for a car wash. $5 can still buy a fancy coffee drink and/or pastry for a nice treat. They appreciate a fancy beverage or snack and you know they can use it towards something they like. My youngest loved it when her teacher showed up the next morning with a big coffee drink and thanked my daughter for her morning latte.

But don’t overlook a nice handwritten note or card. Teachers love a thought from the heart.

Gift cards are sooo much appreciated in the teaching world. I’m a middle school teacher with a very busy schedule. A $5 gift card is such a treat to stop and get coffee, breakfast or even for dinner on crazy nights when I’m there late. I will tell you that a written note from a child or an email years later is the type of gift that fuels us to keep teaching!

  3. MaryAnn

I’m a teacher and I always appreciated a small GC for Wawa, DD or Target. That’s what I’m giving my daughter’s teacher with a nice note.

  4. DJ

PDQ offers military ID card holders 50% off the first Monday of each month.

I $265 to fund tablets for my special needs angels! This is a project they requested and Id love for them to have these tablets to use before the end of the school year! Any dollar or referral counts! Lets get this project funded this week! I have hope! ❤️❤️❤️

  11. Lenore

I found some of the cutest wood signs at TJ Max for $2.99 and up depending on size they had great little sayings, the one I got for my grandsons teacher says, “Teachers Help Kids Reach for the Stars” that and a gift card and some DT bath bombs and a cute DT bag with a sweet note from my grandson. I am nearly 60 years old and I still remember my teachers and what a blessing that most of them were.

  12. Mamagardener

I agree that the gift cards go a long way. I also love getting new felt tip pen sets or other things that I can use for my classroom.
