Can you vacuum the air out of the ziploc bags? I have a small older machine. Wondering which bags to invest in. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Do you have a Food Saver machine? I have one & have used the Zip Lock vacuum seal bags on it without a problem…
They sell these at Wal Mart, Bed Bath & Beyond, Amazon, etc. and are cheaper than the Food Saver brand I believe.
Yes DJ, I have an old (ancient actually, 1980 lol) Freshpac Pro and pretty well all of the Foodsaver bags work well with it. It’s about 14″ long so as long as the bags you buy fit within this size, you shouldn’t have a problem – the gallon size bags work perfectly. I have to put the sealer mechanism just below the zip lock part, so far so good. I find it really handy for storing in the fridge with the zip loc part after storing the vacuumed bag in the garage freezer. This is an awesome sale for these bags, they re good quality and the free shipping was the deal clincher. Amazon couldn’t even come close to this price. Thanks again Hip2Save! You guys rock!
I got the 2 pack rolls x 2 and did auto subscribe and it brought it down to $16 for 4 rolls (so $4 a piece!). I read up on the subscribe program and you can pause orders or email customer service to cancel completely so no big deal for me.
