Just signed up. My daughter loves build a bear. This will be a great back to school gift. Thank you.
What a fun idea! You are very welcome!
Can I buy a $15 gift card and get a free bear?
Hi there! I am not finding any details on that. You could always call in to your store to be certain! Hope that helps!
Can’t buy gift cards according to this faq page.

Thanks, Tina!
Another fiasco ……I will pass
That’s what I’m thinking. It says to arrive 2 hours early for the best possible experience. I bet its going to be a long line. We went on Friday and the line was so long it took us about an hour. The employees were super nice, but really slow. I was not expecting that!
Yup this is what I was coming to say lol. The bear isn’t even cute, I’ll save my sanity this time around.
Does anyone else get the idea that Build a Bear is struggling and these fiascos are on purpose to try to build publicity as a last ditch effort…?
Beth, my thoughts exactly! The local store isn’t crowded anymore on regular days, the animals look cheap and generic for the most part (in my opinion). I guess it’s mostly about the experience but I think the new has worn off considerably.
Same with us. An hour later we finally filled our bear!
I went last week to use the $15 off coupon. I bought an unstuffed bear and will bring my 2 y/o sometime in the future on a weekday when it’s less busy. For me that was the best way to take advantage of a deal like this.
It’s not showing up in my area.
I had issues with mine too, but I selected either Saturday or Sunday. I guess with the selection off all events, my store gets excluded from the list.
Oh bummer! Were you able to enter your zip code to search all locations near you?
It says 2 hours before closing. I think they mean don’t come at 30 mins before close because you will be rushed.
Unable to sign up does that mean its full
I was able to grab mine yesterday but went back to look at the link today and it says “Tickets claimed” for my nearest location and is greyed out, but other locations still show “select and proceed” as an option. I hope that helps.
I just tried to get a ticket and there were no more stores available in California. All the tickets were claimed.
Oh bummer! Sorry to hear that!
I preferred the $5 deal and then you decide if you want to spend on anything else. Their bear clothes and accessories can have you have $70 for one bear! We have clothes and can often find BAB in our local thrift store and get more clothes. I don’t appreciate being told I have to spend nearly $20 right off the bat for a promotional teddy.
it doesn’t say 15 in clothes. I was thinking get another bear around 15 dollars with the free bear. that might slow up the line more but then you can get one stuffed and one to stuff later. we also find bab clothes at the thrift store and buy them whenever we see them!
Just wanted to let everyone know that we went today for this deal and there was no line. It was no busier than a regular day there.
Wow! Thanks for letting us know!
Thank U – I was curious about how busy it was today
Same here. We passed by and the store had literally zero customers in it. I asked an employee if they had been busy earlier. She said not at all.
