Make This Dollar Tree Fall Centerpiece (Styled 3 ways)
Excited to decorate for Fall?
Hooray, I know I sure am! Today I’m sharing how I styled my inexpensive rustic DIY wooden centerpiece using all Dollar Tree items to create three fun and festive looks!
Note that you can make your own pretty wooden centerpiece box with these easy instructions. It cost me less than $11, and I look forward to decorating it each season!
Dollar Tree = Ballin’ on a budget
If you like decorating without spending a ton, make sure to check out Dollar Tree for cute and affordable seasonal decor like fall pumpkins, candles, and floral! You can’t beat the prices and it’s actually really CUTE stuff!
I went this week and found such cute and stylish finds, like these pumpkins at Dollar Tree! Mini pumpkins are such a fun accessory to fill bowls or containers to make a centerpiece with, and I found stylish ones in burlap and even some cute shiny beaded ones!
I also love these candles you can find at dollar stores for decorating! I’m happy to report that these labels peel right off without having to remove adhesive so I can decorate them however I’d like. Check out these Halloween decorated candles I made previously, featured HERE.
Wood Centerpiece Look #1
On this one, I removed the labels from the candles, added all the mini pumpkins, and tucked in a little greenery. I also added some upside down bowls for height on the inside of the box, but you can also use Dollar Tree floral foam.
Dollar Tree has these pretty trendy metal words three to a package, so I simply used double stick tape to attach to the sides for easy removal. You can definitely paint them as desired to make them stand out more. So fun and frugal!
Wood Centerpiece Look #2
On this centerpiece, I used three of the fun glass bottles Dollar Tree has in store! You could also re-purpose wine bottles if you have any and add some floral or fall greenery. I kept some of the mini pumpkins also.
And yes, those little faux succulents are from Dollar Tree, too! They didn’t have them this last time I was in-store, but they have them on and off, so keep your eyes peeled for them! Faux succulents are stylish, so fun to decorate with, and they don’t die! LOL
Wood Centerpiece Look #3
Dollar Tree has these orange styrofoam craft pumpkins that are super easy and fun to paint! Last year, I made some chalk paint and had fun painting and creating a different look for them in THIS post. In this last example, I piled these into my wood centerpiece! I still LOVE these so much!
EEK! This all makes me super excited for Fall! Have you started decorating yet? I love it so much!

Where is this giant dollar tree store you show in the pic of the bottles??? My local dollar trees are a fraction of that size!!!
Oh really?! Hmm I live in Phx in they are at my store 😉
That’s what I was thinking! I am jealous!
Love these fun and frugal ideas!! Fall is my favorite time of year… especially for decorating!
Thanks Cindy!! Me too! Yay
So cute!!
Thanks so much!
I’m seriously going straight to Dollar Tree after work today! Bring on the fall decorating!!!!
Oh yay! Have fun and enjoy 😉
OMG the 2nd is my favorite!!!! Thanks for sharing – I LOVE everything Fall and do tend to go a little overboard decorating.
Lina, please come decorate all of our homes every season (well, that may take..eh, a few years or so? maybe just keep doing these posts instead 😘) Sincerely, everyone 😋
Lol awww thanks Jennifer!! I wish I could -That made my day ❤️
Thank you for sharing this!! This is so much better than going on Pinterest and sorting through things. I love that you showed specifically what you added! Please please include this post for every season using that same box!! I think I will ask my husband to make one!!
Where did you find that gorgeous wooden box??
She links to it in the post: https://hip2save.com/2018/07/06/diy-rustic-farmhouse-wood-box-centerpiece/
I was going to ask the same thing. I don’t have a wooden box!
I actually just clicked the link and seen how to make it! This is a wonderful centerpiece and such a great idea to gift for family and friends 🙂
it does seem like that should have been mentioned. I’ve never seen any wooden boxes like that at dt so it would be hard for me to make any of these. all of the ideas look fantastic though!
Thx Lina..I love this DIY ideas for the kids . they are so cute. keep up the good work and God bless.
Ah thanks so much ❤️
If you have a cricut, you can also add a word to each plate setting ( top plate), Using a pretty font. I used grateful for one, thankful for another, and blessed for another but you could also use others like gather, family, etc… I have a center box as well, it looks really pretty and cost very little.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing 👍
I made a planter box and used the metal Welcome sign last month.
Oh so fun!
I love these centerpiece examples.. I also love the little metal harvest letters. I’m going to see if I can find them at my local dollar tree.
Oh thanks so much! Good luck and thanks for stopping by today 😃
my husband just built a dining table that is 10 ft long. I have no idea how to decorate that monster as all of the things I have, including runners, look like toys
I was browsing around Home Goods today when I spotted a bamboo “Adjustable Drawer Organizer” by Lipper, and it comes with 3 removable dividers. For only $4.99!! and was like Whoooah, this is sorta like the wooden box Lina made for her centerpiece. Now, it is a tad smaller width-wise, but it fit some candles I had taken out already to start decorating. Now I just gotta hit the DT for some fun Halloween & Thanksgiving accessories to fill around! The only thing it’s missing is drawer pulls, so I’ll have to see what I can find. I don’t think I’ll stain it, even though all of our furniture is on the mahogany side, I think the light color of the bamboo is a nice contrast. So if you’re not a DIY person, be sure to browse around your local home stores, you never know what you’ll find!!
That sounds wonderful Mel! Great find! Thanks for sharing ❤️
I love the metal words. Where did you find those they are adorable. I love this idea it’s so great for fall.
Thanks so much Carrie! Metal words are from the Dollar Tree 🌲 ❤️
I love this so much! You’re really creative! I hope you can post how you decorate your wooden centerpiece for other holidays! 🙂
That’s super sweet THANKS ❤️ and thanks for the suggestion!
I used a wicker basket that has side handles. I had to search several Dollar Tree Stores to find the metal letters. The centerpiece can out very cute! I used the green colored bottles.
Awesome Beth!! Thanks for sharing ❤️
Wonderful site you have here but I was curious if you knew of any discussion boards that cover the same topics discussed here? I’d really like to be a part of online community where I can get feedback from other knowledgeable individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Thanks a lot!
