I got one, and my little boy’s birthday is this week! No idea how much things cost there, though, and the closest one is 40 minutes away…If everything’s $40, it’s still too expensive.
You don’t have to buy the extras. There’s a clearance section but clothes would still be $5-$10.
Your son could also get the birthday bear and you’d just pay his age.
I received the $10 off of $30. That applies to regular prices merch only. However, they do have great sale right now, and I scored three bears for gifts @ $32 total.

I was excited to get this coupon! My son got to make his first bear today. For those who asked, our location at least had two bears (one with light fur and one with dark fur) for $12 each.

Just took my daughter and the promotion is so misleading, we told them we were there for the promotion and they pointed us to the red tag items and we picked one that said 2 for 25 thinking it would be 12.50 or so each, we picked a dress and somehow it came out to 37 during checkout, apparently each costs 25, it was just so misleading, the sign didn’t have the cost of each and the sales attendants pointed us to the ones close to 12 if you buy two. I will not be supporting his business anymore after this experience. Also they didn’t have the grooming station or printing birth certificate like they used to, they didn’t come in the cute house like box anymore.
