How to Save When Shopping at Dillards
Looking to save big at this popular department store?
We’re sharing tips to help you save all year long at Dillard’s! Whether you need a shirt (or two), shoes, or a new purse, find all your favorite brands at Dillard’s and keep your budget in check.
1. Create a registry
If you have a big event like a new baby or wedding, create a registry at Dillard’s. You’ll receive incentives like freebies just for completing your registry. Plus, receive rewards after guests complete select purchases. These change monthly so head here for current incentives.
Once finished with your registration, event and gift collecting you’ll also receive 20% off the remaining home, beauty, lingerie and furniture department items on your registry (small electrics 10%). This is in-store only and you’ll have to see an associate for details.
2. Shop sale and clearance deals
Find the biggest price reductions head to their clearance department with up to 65% savings! You’ll find limited sizes, but if you take the time to browse around, you’ll find incredible deals on brands like DKNY, Calvin Klein, Harper Rose & more!
Watch for department sales weekly. Just check Dillards.com for the latest sales. Never pay full price!
3. Become a Cardholder
As a cardholder, you’ll earn points for every purchase charged to your card. Once you accumulate 1,500 points, you’ll receive an all-day 10% Off Rewards Shopping Pass. This is good on all merchandise, any department and you choose the day.
All year long you can also enjoy exclusive Dillard’s events and offers, early access for select clearance events, and special “club plan financing”.
If you charge more than $2,000 per year, you’ll become an Elite member. This means you’ll get free shipping for all your online purchases. You’ll also get complimentary gift wrapping when shopping in-store, a monthly bonus rewards points offer and an invitation to a private shopping event.
4. Trade in your Handbag & Watch
Gently used handbags and watches can be traded for a 25% off coupon to use on a regular priced handbag, wallet, or watch purchase. You’ll want to check with your local store to find a good time to bring them in. This is a great way to trade in a style you don’t want anymore and upgrade to a new style you’ve been eying!
Used items are donated to charity.
5. Get free gifts with purchase
Watch for free gifts with your purchases in the beauty department. They offer these in-store and online and they will change often. If shopping in-store, you can also ask for free sample fragrances. This is a good time to try a fragrance before actually buying it.
We went this morning and they didn’t have much that we were interested in. It was super busy though.
I got online at midnight and there wasn’t much there, either. There’s usually a lot of stuff I want. :/
I don’t have their credit card so I lose the chance to shop early. Makes me want to get one though. I added stuff to my cart 2 days ago and I watched as everything disappeared one item at a time from card holders who could start 4 hours early.
Usually it’s my favorite sale of the year, but this time, just not much selection. Even when I checked at midnight
Coz they do after Christmas Sale now so this is just left overs.
If you are looking for Junior’s sized dresses for a summer wedding, formal, or even for next year’s Christmas/New Year’s parties….WOW!!! Tons of options…I sorted by price (low to high) and the first 3 pages (probably 300 or so dresses) were all at $12-13 or below.
Every year I wish I was a cardholder, I had a bunch of things in my cart, but by the time the sale started fir regular shoppers everything was gone. Do they do a late February sale too? Might try the local store, is the sale longer than one day in store? Thanks for posting!
They do almost every month.
Same!!!
I have their card and the boots I put in my cart were gone before I finished looking. I believe that their stock was very limited and I was so unimpressed when you combine that with their return policy.
Honestly I thought it was just our area that had lowish stock due to 2 hurricanes coming through this year(we even went to one over an hour away this morning) but apparently it’s pretty widespread. And yeah. No return on today’s sales so you have to really be sure
