In the market for a new moisturizer?

Trader Joe’s just released a new Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extract 2.5 fl oz priced at only $8.99.

This brand new product appears to be a dupe for higher end creams like this H2O+ Oasis Ultra Hydrating Cream that sells for over $40 for just 1.7 fl oz!

Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer is a water-based Gel formula and has skin-soothing ingredients, like aloe leaf juice and green tea, birch leaf, & milk thistle extracts. It also contains sodium hyaluronate which locks in skin’s natural moisture.

Simply apply to the face and neck after cleansing with your favorite TJ’s face wash, twice a day or as needed, and you’ll be glowing in no time—radiance restored!

Oh perfect! You’re welcome, Judi! Happy shopping!

I’m stoked to try it! I’m a fan of Cliniques moisture surge gel creme and I hope this could be a cheaper alternative.

H2O is the brand that Disney using in all resorts and cruise ship. It is amazing. This is a great find!!

  5. ED

Using it on my daughter who has psoriasis to help keep moisturized. So far, it is working great!

    • Alice

Does your daughter have sensitive skin also? I have both and I’m allergic to almost everything and need a good moisturizer.
      Thank you.

Can’t wait to try. Love the similar Clinique product but it’s pricey. Our house is a huge fan of the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree Oil Face wash- $5.99. Cleared up all the teens breakouts even my boys love it!

  7. Angela

Wow bought this and the daytime lotion with SPF and the regular face wash. The ingredients are impressive and the texture is amazing- no excessive fragrance either. Worth the trip- thanks for the tip I never would have known

  8. Mary Catherine Crecco

I tired it & it is drying my skin instead of giving moisture. Maybe this product is more for younger, oily darker skin people. Not ones with dry skin.

    • Kate

See Dr Dray YouTube on moisturizers. Apply this to a damp skin, then when tacky apply an occlusive lotion or cream that you like. That should make this work better.

I will just use my great face moisturizers from Lancome & L’Ottaine & Benefit! Don’t need anything else.

        • L

I have expensive moisturizers too. But I’m also cheap. I don’t need to spend $50 for packaging when I can pick up this for $9. I’m in an arid climate too. Spray face with water first.

  9. Rita

It’s posted on several sites that this is a dupe for La Mer. Dh is picking this up for me.

I sold cosmetics at Bloomie’s, Saks & Macy’s in NYC in the 80’s & 90’s. I prefer not to spend alot either., but the Traders Jo’s brand face mosisturizer dried my face instead of moisturizing it.

This product contains Micro Plastic that get absorbed into our bodies from direct application, Pollutes our waterways, & Kills marine life. Buy these Trader Joe’s skin products that are free of Micro-beads & safe for our heath & the planet: Enrich Moisturizing Face Lotion or Nourish Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer
Let Trader Joe’s know you care! Send them a note asking to remove plastic thickeners from this product.

    • Nicole Dale

Hello. What ingredient is the plastic thickener/micro beads? Just curious, I would like to be able to recognize it in this and other products. Nothing that I see in the ingredient list jumps out as plastic.
