I recently ordered a pair of glasses from this site for my son and I am so impressed with the timely shipping and quality. I definitely recommend them!
I love Zenni Optical. I have a very strong eyeglass prescription and a while back I was able to get regular glasses and prescription sunglasses for $150. In the past, I’ve paid at least $350 for just one pair in a brick and mortar store and when this is also when I’ve chosen the cheaper frames. First time I have ever had the prescription sunglasses and I love love love them.
This is a great option for a spare pair of glasses for my daughter. She has one pair that was mostly covered by insurance, but she’s broken them twice. It’ll be nice to have an extra!
The first time I ordered from Zenni was on the recommendation of the Costco optical shop. I asked what they thought of online eyeglass companies, they said that the ones they looked at from Zenni were great, and they are. I paid $41 for TWO pairs of eyeglasses, including one pair of bifocals. Unlike other places, the listed price of their frames includes regular lenses and not just the frame. I went to Sam’s Club optical shop, they wanted $100 just for one pair of their cheapest glasses, and that didn’t even include the extra cost for bifocals. I get compliments on my Zenni glasses all the time. I’ve ordered from Zenni since 2013, love them.
My husband and I have used ZenniOptical for almost 9 years. It all started when my husband broke his new $400 glasses and I saw an ad in a magazine about ZenniOptical. We gave it a try and have been happy ever since! We haven’t had any issues with the prescription. I’ve gotten the frames tinted for $5 so I no longer have to wear sunglasses on top of my regular glasses when I drive!
I move glasses from Zenni. I own about 20 pairs and 2 pairs of sunglasses!
Ooops love not move.. lmao
Dang nails.
LOL! No worries! Glad you have loved their glasses, Kim! Thanks for taking a moment to comment!
Zenni is awesome… I’ve ordered a few pairs from there and could not believe how cheap it was. The quality is good too and great to have extra pairs and they have some fun styles as well.
Thanks for posting. I plan on ordering some sunglasses.
You’re SO welcome! Thanks so much for the review! Happy you can grab more on the cheap!
I use Zenni for prescription sunglasses for my daughter, definitely recommend. She has a strong prescription so it’s extra, but still a good price for transition type sunglasses.
I’ve been buying my glasses online for many years but have never tried Zenni. Just ordered two more from 39dollarglasses.com the other day. I think I’ll give Zenni a try, though, with this deal–it’s too good to pass up! My prescription just changed so I could use a couple extra pairs of glasses. Thanks for posting! 🙂
Oh perfect! You’re very welcome! Hope you love them!
I still have my pair of glasses I got for FREE A couple years ago from a post here on Hip2Save they’re a bit beat up from daily use – totally recommend 😊
I have the hardest time getting my prescription from my eye doctor because they sell glasses there and they want you to buy from them. Anyone else??
Its part of your medical record and they do need to give it to you without question.
I have never had a problem getting my prescription but I have seen a couple of similar post so I just did a search and apparently it is the law that they have to give it to you. I live in Virginia and I thought a state law but some federal regulators also.
if you feel uncomfortable pressuring them to give it to you, i recommend going to eye doctor at Costco. they automatically always hand me a copy of the prescription after the exam. i imagine Sam’s club optician is similar. (they probably expect you will take the Rx out of their Costco exam office and shop for glasses in Costco, but you don’t have to.)
They have to give it to you but I always feel uncomfortable asking. I used the excuse that “I would like to have it for my records” and they didn’t hesitate. Now I have over 10 pairs of glasses that I bought online (including from Zenni) and I love them!
They have to give you a copy of the script. It’s the law.
I’ve ordered prescription eyeglasses & sunglasses from Zenni and had a great experience. I wear bifocals so the cost was a bit more but they came in a timely manner. Highly recommend them! Thanks for posting Hip2Save team!
You’re welcome, Bunny! Thanks so much for the recommendation!
Anyone have progressive done? Good or bad? I have my prescription and my PD’s from my doctor. Hesitant to do progressive online.
I have only ordered single vision and had the same hesitation (but I think it’s time to face that I can’t even read the laundry tags anymore!) My friend just ordered from Zenni after seeing my glasses and assured me that the progressives are nice.
Thank you.
I just got my first pair of prescription sunglasses from Zenni & they fit great!! My daughter has a pair of regular glasses from them & they have held up really well! I was able to use my FSA card through my health insurance to pay for them directly & it is a covered expense!
