Hip2Save team member, Jami, cannot stop raving about this cake…

I generally shy away from store bought cakes as I prefer to bake from scratch, but this cake is amazing. I absolutely love the light and fluffy vanilla bean frosting and super moist cake. It would also go great with some fresh sliced strawberries.

Anybody know how this compares to the chantilly cake at Whole Foods?

I love Trader Joe’s vanilla cake it is soft and moist and a little on the sweeter side. I don’t like whole foods chantilly cake because of the almond extract( my pet peeve)

I tried this and it was okay. But the lemon cream sandwich cookies are to die for!

Trader Joe’s is definitely a dangerous place..you go for 3 things and always end up going out with about 20! But as great as these cakes etc. are in their dessert section, watch for cholesterol levels as they’re usually off the charts!

Opinions are like belly buttons- everyone has one. I did not like this cake. Than again I didn’t like WF Chantilly cake either.

This is good but omg it’s like diabetes in a box! Trader Joe’s is a dangerous place to shop… I don’t think I have stepped out of there without spending a lot.

I’ve been looking for a recipe to make this cake at home with no success. I have vanilla bean to grate for flavor and flakes. We all love this cake and it doesn’t last.
