   Thank you – is their size chart accurate? My daughter is 7 and is pretty average. I usually buy a medium in clothing (7/8), but the chart is saying to go with a small. I’m afraid the small might be too small, but also afraid she would be swimming in those numbers listed for the medium size.

  This rain coat is great for where we live and it has held up very well.
  For sizing, i have order other Columbia products and my view is medium is for a 7-8; small is 6-6x.
  This is a lightweight raincoat so it is not intended for a cold rain, like for example cold winter rain.

  I don’t know if this is correct. Columbia makes their jackets shorter but with longer arms so your child can grow with it easier. I have the xxs size of this jacket from a few years ago and it still fits my 6 year old (but getting too small). I bought a size small and I’m hoping it will be good!

    I am always on the lookout for your Columbia jacket posts and almost always jump on the deal. These jackets hold up extremely well, even when my twins put them to the test! These prices can’t be beat, especially when I’m able to include our outgrown jackets in our local resell event and get back most of what I paid to start with!
