These crates are awesome!

Head to your local Costco where you may find this Greenmade InstaCrate 12-Gallon Collapsible Crate for only $6.49. Note this item is available in-store only.

This seems like a great deal as the same item is currently priced at $14.99 at Walmart.com.

These durable crates can be used in the garage to carry and store tools or keep them in the back of your car to hold groceries. They have handles which make them easy to carry and they have built-in rails for storing file folders.

They collapse down for easy storage when not in use and clean up quickly with a damp cloth or a quick spray from a garden hose.

Another cool storage solution we spotted at Costco is this Seville Classics Foldable Storage Trunk priced at only $19.99!

This seems like a great deal as the same one is priced at $39.73 at Amazon.

This storage bench folds flat for easy storage and can hold toys, blankets, shoes, magazines, remotes or anything else you don’t want left out. Use it as extra seating or as a footrest.

We have an Instacart that we leave in the car. We love ours!

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      Yay! They look great!

We have 2 of the Instacrate that sit next to each other in the back of our Jeep Grand Cherokee. They fit perfectly and are great for putting shopping items etc in to keep them from rolling around. Plus, you can simply grab the crate and take all of the items inside at once.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

I like the idea of things not rolling around, Larry P! Thanks!

I have the Seville Classics Foldable Trunk. I love it! I wish I would have had the $19.99 deal though. I paid the Amazon price. Either way, it was worth it! We use ours in our living room and put extra blankets in it. It’s actually sturdy enough to sit on.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

Thanks so much for the recommendation, Ashley C.! I’m glad to hear how well it’s worked for you!

I have a few InstaCrates that I expand when checking out at Aldis. So handy not having to bag my groceries.

    • Jennifer (Hip Sidekick)

      That’s a GREAT IDEA!

  5. Tracey

Love these crates; have two in my car and have given them as gifts many times. Great price, too.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

What a great gift idea! Thanks for the feedback, Tracey! Happy to hear how much you have liked them!

  6. Lori

I use these in my RV and they are the best for packing up and when I unload.

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

Oh cool! Good to know how helpful they are, Lori!

We have 8 InstaCrates in our extended, Chrysler minivan. I like to open 4, stacked 2 x 2, then top each stack with a collapsed InstaCrate (fits as a lid). The dark windows & the black InstaCrates keep a lot of stuff out of view. I keep the other 2 in the center area (1 of the 2nd-row seats is stored). I use these for jackets, groceries, whatever I want to corral! The “lids” are expanded as needed.

The 6 InstaCrates fit in the well behind the 3rd-row bench seat, hidden.

In addition to using these for groceries and in the car, I use them as laundry baskets. So easy to store out of site when the clothes have been folded and put away! We’re also getting ready to start a kitchen remodel and they’ll be used in the ‘temporary kitchen’ for storing breakfast, microwaveable and snack items. 🙂

    • Amber (Hip Sidekick)

GREAT ideas, Heather! Thanks for sharing how useful they have been for you!

The instacrates also come in handy when moving !!

I was happy to find them at Costco in October quite by accident, but got 3 for Christmas gifts and could kick myself for not getting more. They were a big hit and others that didn’t receive one wanted one….sadly Costco didn’t have any in December. Don’t know if they will ever restock or this was a one time deal…..
