Help Teachers #ClearTheList!

With back to school season upon us, thousands of teachers across the country are working to prepare their classrooms for the new school year and this typically means stocking up on school supplies.

Did you know that many teachers pay for a majority of classroom supplies out of their own pocket? Yes, it’s true! Classroom supplies are not cheap and some school districts struggle, leaving many teachers to pay for school supplies on their own.

YOU can help by joining the #ClearTheList movement!

This movement was started by a school teacher earlier this month in the form of a Facebook group called “Support A Teacher – Teacher Gifting“. This group provides a place for school teachers and professionals to share their Classroom Wish Lists so that generous donors across the worlds can fulfill the item(s) on these lists.

Just choose a teacher in need, click on their wish list and start shopping!

Teachers and educational professionals can head over to Amazon, create a classroom wish list and then share their lists publicly. Even better, anyone can ‘donate’ items that are on the list and after making a donation, donors can even leave a note or message letting the teacher know how much they are appreciated. So awesome!

Teachers, follow these steps to make your own classroom wish list on Amazon:

  • Head over over to Amazon and hover over Account & List at the top of any Amazon.com page. Select ‘Create a List’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Choose the Wish list and whether you want the list to be private or public. You can also designate whether your list is for an organization and if so, you’ll have the option to provide the website address of the organization.
  • Click ‘Save’ and then you can start adding items to your list!
  • To add items to your wish list, simply browse Amazon for products and then click ‘Add to List’ under the Buy box on the right-hand side of any item’s product detail page.
  • Only list owners can make changes through Manage List. Both list owners and collaborators will be able to add and remove items.

Teachers do so much for our kids so let’s help them out in any way we can!

Thank you so much for sharing! Hello! I teach 6th grade ELA. Outside of school, I am a single momma to two school aged kiddos.
I have recently had a break-in while my kiddos and I were sleeping. They stole over $2000 dollars worth of stuff. Moving expenses have made the budget tight for sure. I have still been finding ways to secretly gift as much as I can.
    Please consider glancing over
my list if you feel led to.

I am K-5th Resource/Content Mastery teacher. This will be my 5th year teaching, and this year I am in a new district that is much closer to home. I went from an hour commute to 7 min! My list is mainly sensory items. I have pillows to cuddle with, fidgets to focus on and even a chair to sink in. Anything else helps and is always appreciated!

I’m a second year teacher, and I am teaching 7th grade honors ELA and the AVID elective for the first time this year. AVID is a program that is targeted at the “middle of the road” kids and teaches them specific skills like note taking, organization, and time management to help them rise up to the honors level. I’m super excited to take on this new challenge and I’d love to have a fully stocked classroom and library for my students. Thanks for taking a look!

Third is so email. Thank you for your support. This is my 13th year teaching in a title 1 district. 2nd grade this year. Our school is a fine arts academy allowing kids to explore and experience the different types of arts. Such a cool concept to integrate ther arts into the classroom. Here’s my list for this year.

Seeing all of the support for teachers truly makes my heart happy. I know most of my friends in the corporate world have no idea how much of my much smaller paycheck I invest back into my own classroom. It’s sad how much we have to spend to make our classrooms warm and inviting or just to provide the necessities. I teach 2nd grade in Omaha, NE in a school where my parents simply can’t afford to send in donations and sometimes even the basic school supplies. Any donations would be much appreciated! https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3REN9UOAH7QHP?ref_=wl_share

I am a high school theatre teacher. A lot of my kids face financial and family struggles so we become a family to them. I just took over the theatre program with my husband last year and we are excited to implement new ideas and projects this year. Our wish list is to get us started on some of those big changes. I have been so inspired by this movement and the generosity I see all around us. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1PF3MOUN7BQB3?ref_=wl_share
