Costco Now Has Its Own Line of Vodka Ice Pops | Ready-To-Freeze & Just 100 Calories Each
If you are a fan of the trendy Vodka Pops that seem to be a popular adult treat to serve this summer, you won’t be surprised that Costco has just released its own line of Kirkland Signature Ready-To-Freeze Vodka Cocktails.
Similar to the Slim Chillers Skinny Freezers Frozen Vodka Martinis that have been selling at Costco since earlier this year, this Kirkland variety features 3 different flavors – Lime Drop, Watermelon Hibiscus, and Strawberry Freeze. Each pop is around 100 calories with 8% alcohol!
These Kirkland Vodka Pops are sold in containers of 18 ready-to-freeze pouches and were priced at $16.99 at our Costco making them just 94¢ per pop! Let us know if you spot them in your store too!
These scare me. I could see little kids taking these and thinking the are ice pops.
But why would you put them where the kids ice pops are? Obviously put them in the deep freezer or somewhere they can’t get to it at. Monitor your kids. I don’t understand the fear.
Agreed
No parent has their eyeball on their kids 24/7. Parents don’t shower or go to the bathroom with their kids. This is the legitimate concern of a conscientious parent who probably has creative and/or rambunctious kids. You sound judgemental.
You put them in a higher place of the freezer or hide them. Away from regular ice cream
I agree. Put them in a different box or container they wouldn’t think to even look in. That’s what I do. I have 2 teens. So usually I place them in a veggie freezer bag lol
I can understand why you might be concerned their are parents that don’t monitor their children well. I could see a kid thinking this is a regular popsicle and grabbing a few maybe passing them out to friends. Mom comes home kids are drunk 🥴
I thought same thing- ppl say “monitor “ your kids as if they follow theirs around all day!! It takes a few moments! And with older kids- few sec.
I think it’s a terrible idea and one more way alcohol is glamorized and appealing to kids. Even the colors…
This isn’t exactly unintentional! Alcohol industry is notorious for marketing to teens – this seems like even younger now
I agree. They are trying to target a younger, hopefully legal audience. Now, if alcohol comes packaged like capri sun packages or juice boxes you cant tell me they arent marketing this only for adults! Does anyone remember candy cigarettes or candy cigarette chewing gum?! I couldnt wait to buy those as a kid and today I’m thinking how awful it was that I wanted them.
I completely agree. Millennials consume less alcohol than previous generations as well. I think the alcohol companies are realizing that they have to become even more savvy and target the people in Gen Z/Gen Alpha since they missed out on the millennials, and what better way to do that than a spin on a summertime snack that was originally meant for kids?
Omg why should alot of us parents who know how to put away an hide them correctly. If you can’t handle your kids then don’t buy them. Leave them for us parents who know what to do.
Why would you put them where kids can get them
More so, what bothers me…i can never find these at my Costco!! Haha
I saw them on a display right outside the milk cooler at my Costco.
We found them in liquor department
Right? I was there today and didn’t see them 🙁 Looks like another Costco trip is in order 🙂
Are they still filled with a bunch of crap? For the price, can we at least get dye-free lol.
Saw them in the Kansas City – North store on the end cap of the alcohol section.
Thanks for letting us know where you spotted them!
They taste great. Especially the watermelon ones. Wish I could buy the one flavor.
Wonder if they give out samples of these. Get adults feeling good to buy more stuff 😂
I got them & they are not good. They have a very chemically taste to them. Not impressed!
Darn! Sorry to hear you didn’t care for them, Nancy. I haven’t tried these yet.
Really?? The cosmopolitan ones taste just like fruit punch!!! They’re delicious!
Thank you for posting! The information is put out there for people interested in the alcohol pops. ( I’m interested) I never understand the negative or useless comments. If they’re not for you scroll on by.
I bought them last week. They were in front of the wine section. I prefer the other brand because these are a wider tube and you eat them faster. Also with wide tube, hard to drink a little of the remains in the bottom. I did not like their watermelon hibiscus pop tastes like perfume, not watermelon. Tho cheaper and more in the pkg, these are not as good as their other grown up pops.
I completely agree about these being made to appeal to kids. Millennials consume less alcohol than previous generations as well. I think the alcohol companies are realizing that they have to become even more savvy and target the people in Gen Z/Gen Alpha since they missed out on the millennials, and what better way to do that than a spin on a summertime snack that was originally meant for kids?
Those who are concerned their children’s might get at them, simple solution… don’t buy em!🤷♀️ I have 2 teen boys , 17 and 15. I do hide them pretty well in the back of the freezer in a box I know they wouldn’t even look in. I’d buy a few so at least I know IF they did find them, I know how many are there… But honestly, how many people keep their alcohol out in the open? It really is no difference… so I’m not sure what the concern is, besides a small child thinking perhaps they were freeze pops for them, but the again that goes back to what I said about hiding them in something they children wouldn’t look in…
Children *
So true I agree with you. They are great
Omg. I’m a grandma of 6 I have 3 married children 33, 29 and 25. It’s not my first rodeo. If it’s an adult beverage put it where they can’t get it! And place rules!… if you’re kids are old enough explain the difference to them. These pops are delicious. People are so uptight
They taste great. I will buy more. Love them especially the watermelon ones. Wish I could buy the one flavor.
Omg why should alot of us parents who know how to put away an hide them correctly. If you can’t handle your kids then don’t buy them. Leave them for us parents who know what to do.
I love them I just wish they would make only strawberry ones
I love these things. No kids at my place but the pops are always sold out or don’t exist at my local Costco.
