Have You Tried ALDI’s Summit Red Thunder Energy Drinks? One Reader Claims They are Red Bull Copycat…
We love sharing new ALDI deals and finds!
If you are a fan of Red Bull Energy drinks, did you know that ALDI actually carries their own version of energy drinks called Summit Red Thunder Energy Drinks?
Available in both regular or sugar-free varieties, these energy drinks are surprisingly similar to Red Bull Energy Drinks but come with a much lower price tag. We recently spotted a 4-pack of Summit Red Thunder 8.5oz cans for just $2.99 at ALDI – making each can just 74¢! Note that some readers have reported spotting these 4 packs for as little as $1.70 per 4 pack!
This seems like a great deal as Amazon has this 24-pack of Red Bull Energy Drink 8.4oz cans priced around $23.54 shipped making for a final cost of 98¢ per can!
These energy drinks qualify for the ALDI Twice As Nice Guarantee!
If for any reason you are not 100% satisfied with the quality of these drinks, ALDI will replace them AND refund your money. Just keep in mind that the product packaging and any unused product must be returned to your local ALDI store manager.
See what Hip2Save reader, Jessica, had to say about these drinks…
I have to share that ALDI has a version that tastes almost exactly like the sugar free Red Bull called “Red Thunder” and it is much cheaper. It comes in 4-packs and whenever I go there I buy at least 10 packs. Check it out. It is almost the same exact taste.
This may be true for sugar-free, but as a Red Bull lover, and also a major ALDI lover, regular Red Thunders definitely don’t do it for me.
Thanks so much for the honest comment, Aaron. We sure appreciate the feedback!
I have been drinking them for years and I love them. Our store is sold out.
Aldi is dicontinuing the sugar free version here in CA. I’m so bummed. I have been buying it for years.
Why are they being discontinued in California v
Still available in Florida. Drinking a sugar-free one right now.
My husband likes them. They also have “white monster” like ones and i didnt care for them.
Thanks so much for sharing with us, Eliza. Glad to hear your husband has enjoyed them!
As a wife of a redbull vodka lover he says don’t drink all 4 in one night you’ll see the difference….
Jessica needs an caffeine intervention π
Lol, Jessica likes her caffeine. π If I drank just one of these or one Red Bull I would be up for a week straight and my house would be spotless.
Man wish I had that problem π
I’m not a red bull fan and I think these were worst than red bull π
I drink an all natural energy drink. My body treats it as food since it isnβt synthetic. No crash. All good stuff in the ingredients! Iβd love to send a sample to anyone interested in trying it! rachel.fickenscher@gmail.com
Lemme guess…peddling your MLM? No thanks. π
I tried buying these to pull an all-nighter to study for a chemistry exam many moons ago and I ended up falling asleep about an hour after one! π€£ but I donβt think Iβm very sensitive to caffeine lol
I for one drink the Red Thunder and prefer it over Red Bull hands down… however in Southern Indiana it is all off the shelves for about the last 3 weeks…the Madison Indiana stores hold it in the back for the local bars and paying customers cannot even buy it. I noticed the change in it being on the shelf when I spotted Red Bull in their cooler… Is there anywhere else other than Aldis that carries this in Southern Indiana?
I too prefer Red Thunder over Red Bull. Red Thunder has not been in stock in SoCal stores for at least 6 months. If you ask Aldi staff, they say there is a “temporary supply issue”. “Temporary” sounds like those ads that say “For a Limited Time Only” but the product is still being sold. Aldi replaced Red Thunder with Gridlock which (I hear) is similar to Monster. I don’t drink Monster so I can’t compare. I do drink Gridlock now (an acquired taste) but I don’t like that they are 16 oz. I wish they came in 8 oz. Hopefully Red Thunder is really a “temporary supply issue” and will be back in stock.

Cant get red thunder drink in Florida anymore and I really miss it. Dont want sugar free…does anyone know where I can buy it??
Iβm in Charlotte NC and my wife and I love the sugar free. It is a staple at our house.
good afternoon is it possible to not add sugar and caffeine to red thunder if people wants to try it for the first time then they cant because its go sugar and caffeine in it if you could do that then that will be good thanks very much
Our South Florida (Sunrise, FL) store has them again since a few months. But last year they were out for months. I have a place in Tampa and couldn’t find them up there yet… Very weird this supply issue…
