Whoops! Thanks for mentioning that. It looks like the regular price for that one is $19.99. I have updated the post!
Would someone tell me whether I am crazy or just overprotective? I will not allow any guns in my house, even a nerf gun? One of my grandchildren come to the house and had a play gun and it looked just like my husbands 9 millermetor glock and I set my foot down that there will not be any type of guns in this house. Now the water guns outside is ok because they are all different colors.
These brightly colored nerf guns I’m sure would never be mistaken for the real thing. My kids and now my grandkids have a blast playing with these innocent nerf guns. Plus I’ve always been very much pro in teaching them to all defend and fight back!
It’s a personal preference. We allow toy guns and teach gun safety at a very young age. I prefer my kids to be informed and comfortable. I don’t think it’s crazy though if you choose not to but I’m my opinion it’s more dangerous to be uninformed and uncomfortable with firearms in general.
They now the difference because both sets of parents have guns of all kinds. I know they have nerf guns out of this world. We have guns in our house and I have no problem with them. So maybe I am adamant about the small ones having them.
I am not against guns at all but with them watching the news, 2 of them think it is ok. Their parents have taught them right from wrong. But maybe it is just me.
Interesting discussion – I almost bought one of these for a boy I nanny – but I want to respect his parent’s wishes, so I’ll hold off on it. We are a non-gun-owning household, but I am fine with kids playing with nerf guns. I don’t think having toy nerf guns will directly lead to harmful gun use in the future. That said, these are colorful play guns that do not resemble the real thing.
