Would You Buy an Upside Down Christmas Tree?
If you’re looking for a unique focal piece this holiday season that also provides even more room for gifts, look no further than an Upside Down Christmas Tree!
Inspired by a European tradition from the 12th century where people hung trees from the ceiling during Christmas, an upside down tree ensures a smaller footprint which allows more room for gifts underneath.
The tapered shape also allows these upside-down trees to be placed in spots that usually wouldn’t accommodate a traditional holiday tree (like between two armchairs or in small spaces).

I think they look weird lol So no, we wouldn’t.
Not for me
Yeah, I’m not a fan either.
Looks rather weird the shaping! I pass…
No Way!!
Big thing in Key West Florida an upside down Christmas Tree
I’ve seen a giant one in a restaurant, which was cool. I think super ridiculous for anyone else, no offense.
I agree. A friend of mine had a sort of antique/boutique shoppe, and he hung one from the ceiling. It was one of those real ones that were actually pretty round, with thinner branches, and it was gorgeous, like a giant Christmas chandelier.
But at home, never…..
Nope
Makes me dizzy
Personally I think it looks just as weird as a regular tree in ones living room.
My two year old said, “ahhhh, NO!” I tend to agree. lol
These are so cool. I’ve always wanted one!
Heck no! I saw this nonsense on my local news at the Dr office and me and some old guy were laughing at them.
Great for those of us with limited floor space. Very unique.
I think I would get an inexpensive small one for the fun of it. I think the grands would get a kick out of it! 😆
Awww WTHeck I just bought a new tree yesterday because my white one burnt out and Ive always wanted an upside down one! Except I like my tree white with black ornaments and i dont see a white upside down one..:(
I would but it would freak out my family…Lol
Yes but it should be hanging and not on the ground.
No. Too strange for me.
Looks dangerous! And unattractive lol
I’d rather have fewer gifts underneath than to have a topsy-turvy Christmas tree
No No No NO……. who comes up with these stupid ideas?
I know right! They’re running out of ideas
A big “Nope” from me.
Weird, untraditional and unsafe!
IMO, if you have so many gifts that you need to hang your tree upside down to make room for them…….then maybe you bought too much stuff, lol
This is the worst idea I’ve ever seen..
I find it weird, but I also find cutting down a live tree, decorating it, and watching it die in the living room terribly bizarre as well. To each his own, I guess.
Reminds me of a quote from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure.. “You cut down a tree and then you dress its corpse with candles..”
Fake regular trees might blow your mind then. 💥
I would only cause i can mount it from the ceiling and keep the homicidal little Jerk (kitten) out of it!
No. Feel it takes away from the meaning of Christmas. The tree is not a trend but a tradition
I’m serving Thanksgiving on the floor this year. Let’s do this upside down season!
Maybe I’ll get one…when trees start growing that way in nature.
Nope. Weird. If your house is too small, get a smaller tree.
No. It is unique and could work some places but not my home. It just sort of makes me dizzy. It also doesn’t give me that warm cozy Christmas feeling.
I thought it looked ridiculous until i researched the meaning. I figured it was so odd that there had to be some logical explanation… .as if religion is anything but logical. It has meaning and it’s not just for space. Research the legend of St. Boniface. Makes more sense after reading about it.
i like different but i think I will stick my white tree plus where do you put the tree topper 🙂
My kids school cook had one. She loved it because she was able to display her ornaments better. Maybe because the fullest part of the tree is eye level/ on top giving more space for the ornaments.
I would!!! Neat!
The tradition of hanging a Christmas tree upside down from the ceiling is an old one in Central and Eastern Europe. … The early trees were a symbol of the Paradise Tree in the Garden of Eden and were decorated with food and flowers to denote abundance.
I thought they were bizarre too until I saw one in person. My friend has one and hangs a ton of tiny ornaments on it. It looks spectacular.
my kids and I put our fake tree together that way one year and it was great, kids loved it
I used to work at a hotel it the late 90’s and they celebrated the season with the “upside down” christmas tree. All guests who checked in, received an upside down tree ornament. I thought it was so neat, as it was attached and hung from the ceiling. Poinsetta’s and huge wrapped boxes surrounded it.
Absolutely hideous. I can get on board with black trees, rainbow trees, etc. but this is just stupid looking.
No
Seems like it has a hidden meaning against a belief or religion 🤔
Just.Why????
YES!!!! I’ve seen these for years, mostly hanging from the ceiling and they are beautiful and unique! I think traditional trees can get boring, so I say bring it on! I have 4 trees that I decorate every year and I’d love to have an upside down tree hanging from the ceiling to add to the collection, maybe in one of the bathrooms! Lol!
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! Use to counsel my parents w small children to get their trees up as high as possible. I’ve seen some horrible accidents w Christmas trees, decoration and small children.
Crystal
No not for me. My neighbor used to have a different themed tree in every room during the holidays. I loved the whole idea of doing that.
They have to try to invert everything. Good is evil and evil is good. Reminds me of 2Peter3:3~ Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lusts.
Symbol of Christmas mocked to make room for more. Lust of gifts.
If you realize that we are always in a spiritual war, you’ll come to see this stuff is everywhere
This is actually a tradition from centuries ago, if you take the time to learn about it.
WHY?????????? Ridiculous and it doesn’t look good? Is this a joke?
Upside down Christmas trees are so 2017! The trend will die out in a couple of more years, and they’ll end up in landfills because even the thrift shops won’t want them. But who knows, maybe they’ll be sought after in 40 years like the silver trees with the color wheels!
